area was brilliant for getting around
had to move bed away from the wall as would have hit my head on the light fitting, lift also very small, lucky to get two people in and then you have luggage. All very run down
Pleasant staff and good location. Air conditioning was very refreshing
Had to sit next to room door to receive Wifi, bathroom ceiling leaked, lock to room door was broken, room was very small and hard to maneuver for 3 beds
The location was excellent, many places to eat and see nearby. The hotel was also pretty close to the metro.
The room was not very sound proof. You could hear people talking next door and the doors opening and closing in the hallway.
Hotel was nice. Good location but the rooms were not sound proof as stated. Wi-Fi not great in the room but generally the hotel was good.
Only the location (very central) and the kindness of the staff.
The reality of the structure is not in line with the expectations after consulting the site and looking at the pictures. The internal areas (stairs, lift) are very badly kept. The room has very decrepit fornitures: the old and dirty rug, the broken bathroom door, the broekn bathroom shelf, the light in the toilet not working properly, the safe not working....We would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The price is quite cheap for central Paris and we did not expect luxury for sure, but al least cleaness and some decensy!
Smelly corridors and rooms. Super small rooms.no wifi reception. Too expensive for what it offers
Basic, but for those who want value for money, and location, the hotel suits very well. 1 minute to Opera, department stores and shops, many restaurants and bars. We stay overnight in Paris many times at similar price and this hotel is the best ever.
I loved the breakfast, the staff were wonderful and I could open the windows and get fresh air. Very happy.
small and friendly hotel, clean and fresh decoration
Paris has many centers, but the one that conveys the 19th and the 21st century at the same time is the quartier of Opera-Vendome-old-streets-towards-Pigalle. The Hotel Helder has charming hosts, friendly staff and just enough comfort to allow you to fully enjoy opera, cinema, shopping and good food all around it.
Let me think about that.
The service was really nice and the staff where always nice and ready to help us every time we need
The wifi didn't work at all in the rooms.
hotel staff supported kindly anytime!
wi-fi signal was really small. I was 3rd floor.
the staff were nice eventhough, they often appeared busy
the price is too high for such facilities, the dust was every where in the room, the room was completly different from what i saw in the picture (size and new fourniture) the lift had no space for more than two poeple so we had to travel in there twice to bring the luggage to our room,
Location and staff
There is no bar or cafeteria or other common areas yo hang around and relax, this is important as the rooms are extremely small
Airconditioner blew hot air Room is cramped with luggage Very noisy since near road Bathroom door didn't close properly
Located on the hop on hop off Open tour bus. This allowed us to take the yellow line from the Gare Est and then return after three days. This allowed complete access with one bus ticket until 2100 each night with a short walk from green line
Small elevator too small for a wheel chair and was for the most part not suitable for handicapped
location is very good, nearby metro station and opera. Friendly reception staff, helpfull. Good beds.
rooms were outdated, bathroom needs an urgent renovation, carpet was dirty.
location was good. right above Mcdonald and very very close to Opra and La fayyete and metro station. Easy to go everywhere.
small, not very clean. but I mean it it in Paris, and it is not a 4 or 5 star Hotel. i didnt expect more. Really funny, front desk staff doesnt speak english. It is already April/May, the hotel only has heater. Aircondition doesnt blow cold air. asked the front desk staff, but it was useless. he doesnt speak English.
The bathroom door is sliding not closed well
friendly staff & good location
the view i can see paris
Location was excellent!!!!
