Hôtel Henri 4  

The hotel had a beautiful reception and lounge like a country house hotel, which was a haven from the hectic city outside. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. The location was absolutely fantastic - just a few steps from the Seine and Notre Dame. The Metro was also very near and there were many restaurants and cafes just across the road. Although the area has many tourists, it is pleasant to walk around the little streets and stop at cafes. This is an ideal hotel for a central location as you can walk to so many places of interest.

For the price of the hotel, would have thought that at least a continential breakfast could be included or would have liked to have had a more reasonably priced breakfast (it was 12 euros per person) - as a result we ate outside the hotel. Would have also liked tea/coffee making facilities in the room for the price. Our room was at the back of the hotel and although small was very pleasant, except it had no nice view. Apparently the rooms at the front have the lovely view over the church, but are quite noisy from the busy road.

Location was good and sound proofing was fine given the room was o er the main road. Internet WiFi was very good.

Room was tired an needed renovation. There were no coffee and tea making facilities. The breakfast area was small and cramped - people were queuing when hardly anyone was staying at the hotel - this must be a nightmare during the busy seasons.

We loved that this hotel was located in a quiet section of a main street, steps from the busy streets of the Latin quarter, the metro, and Notre Dame. It was easy to find our way to and from all the sights of the city. The room was a well appointed European room, small but comfortable and well kept. Even thought the street was busy, our room (which looked over the street) was quiet (might be louder in the summer though). The desk staff spoke English and was very helpful.

This was our second visit to Hotel Henri iv Rive Gauche. We love the location and the staff are great - very polite and helpful.

Rooms are pleasant and clean. On the backside, they are very quiet and some have a view of the Notre-Dame Cathedral. This is a true 3-star hotel (unlike many other Paris hotels which are in reality 2 stars even if they have a 3 star label...). Breakfast is not exciting, but still better than in an average Paris hotel. Staff is friendly and helpful. Only 50m away from metro entrance, walking distance to Notre Dame, and many restaurants & bistrots around the corner. One of the better choices in Paris in this category.

No emergency exit in case of fire, which could be dangerous if you are on the 3rd floor or above.

Great location and charming atmosphere. We stayed in a triple room on the second floor. The room was cosy, clean and nicely decorated. Very comfortable beds. We had breakfast on our last day because of our early departure. Nevertheless I recommend having breakfast in one of the many cafes facing Notre Dame. Better coffee, nicer view and better value. We had a very comfortable and pleasant stay atbthis hotel.Very recommendable.

Concierge on days was very pleasant and helpful. We had a great room with a lovely view.

This is a great place for the price. It is conveniently located, with both metro and rer stops near by. And while the rooms were typically small they were comfortable and quiet and the bathrooms were updated. The staff was very nice and helpful with directions and arranging airport transportation. I would stay at the Henri 4 again.

The Hotel staff were very nice, it was a plus that they all spoke english and were very helpfull in every way.

Style, comfort, cleanliness, location, helpful staff

We loved the location of this hotel! We travelled with our 12 year old daughter who wanted to see Notre Dame, which was a 2 minute walk away and could be seen from the view from our balcony. Although on a busy street our room was on the 6th floor and the double glazing shut out the noise. The room was air conditioned and it worked well, as did the free wi-fi access! There are many cheap places to eat right across the road from the hotel. The hop on hop off bus stops outside too! The staff are extremely helpful and pleasant. We loved this hotel and would deifinitely recommend it and stay there again.

Great Hotel, awesome location...restaurants and shops at your doorstep. Notredame just up the road and the St Michel metro station 5 min walk away. The staff were lovely. We stayed in the triple room which was really nice.

The pillows, that was it !!
