Close to the metro station and just 2 steps from bus station with conection to the airport CDG.
We paid for wifi which did not worked as it should.
Closeness to bars and restaurants; and access to metro with the access to many points of interest in central Paris.t
No lift. Although I have no strong critics of the hotel, the location was quite noisy. A bar adjacent to the hotel was noisy upto 1.30am. On the Saturday night I may have been unlucky but there seemed to be a noisy street party upto 5am..
Not soundproof. Loud waterpipes. You can hear everything, from toilet flush to shower noise and loud neighbours. Slept an hour the whole night.
The atmosphere Gambeta emits is exciting and vibrant, plus the Metro was excellent also enjoyed the varieties of foods available on the streets....we felt safe and accepted.
Bit noisy from the cafe below but that's-all part of the adventure
- Decent location - very near Gambetta metro and buses to the centre. - Staff spoke poor English, but they did the best they could to help with guiding towards the sights locations. - Had a decent TV with an English channel ( 1 but still :) and the bed was relatively clean and comfortable.
- Wi fi is allegedly included, but it was 6 euro per hour. - The hotel was going through some sort of renovation and was more or less a building site. Paint spills everywhere, HORRIBLE smell in the corridor. - There was no 24/7 shop nearby. - There was a single chair in a double room.
The room was very shabby and had not been cleaned. The window would not open. The stairs were being repaired and were left unsafe for 24 hours.
best was the location
The location is the only upside
Had to kill at least 20 various bugs. Blanket on bed was covered in stains. Terrible staff. Dangerous stairs.
Oh, we just loved it! Nice and cozy room with two huge windows facing the real Paris street packed with restaurants and shops. We've chosen a room with private bathroom, and everything was there including toiletries and small hand towels. The room, rather spacious for Paris standards, had a king-size bed, capacious wardrobe and plenty of other furniture. The hotel is a 5-minute walk from the Gambetta metro station. The nicest staff helped us with nearly every question, the night receptionist lady who barely spoke English was so accommodating - helped us to book a night taxi at a short notice. The best part - it is cheap, even with internet coming at an extra charge!
No elevator! Had to carry my heavy suitcase to the 3rd floor up the crookest staircase I've ever seen. Only one electric outlet for the entire room.
The neighborhood is nice with lots of places to buy food, also it's near the famous cemetery. One male receptionist spoke English really well and was helpful and friendly.
The staircase is winding and there is no elevator. But the worst part really is the noise from the bar that is open until early morning. And in summer it can get warm so you cannot really close the window without suffering.
The location was great.
Absolutely everything. Shambolic level of customer care. Had to quarantine the entire contents of my luggage as I was bitten by bugs around neck and arms.
need a daily change to clean sheets old dirty bedspread noisy plumbing noisy guests lack of rules lack of higiene weak toilet paper no hairdryer no elevator the hall is full with laundry bags checkout until 11h15
They change are hotel without any refundation
I arrived 30 minutes after the check-in starting time (14:30, they gave me the keys but the room was not ready, the cleaning lady was inside the room and had to wait 15 minutes. The hotel is quite small and dirty, no elevator. The blanket of the bed looked dirty, some stains on it. On booking in the description it says free wi-fi in the common area, but it's not true, they asked 3€ for day to use the wi-fi. Avoid this Hotel
- Position: very close to the metro station - very cheap - big bed
- the window was broken, so you cannot close it. - the road outside is noisy - the sink is so small you cannot wash your teeth or face!
Nothing i like.
When we arrived, the staff was scolding his son and then throughout the check in process the staff was unfriendly. The hotel room was facing the busy road and it was extremely noisy. We couldn't sleep at all during our 3 days stay. Disaster! The housekeeping was merely replacing the towels (only 1 towel for 1 guests with Double room) and not throwing rubbish in the toilet and the mattress blanket was not tidy after housekeeping. Lousy. Location = far!
Reasonable price for PARIS. Good situation in lively but not too lively part of the city - very close to Père la CHAISE cemetery.
Location is not bad. Very reasonably-priced. Clean.
The mattress protector. I hate thick plastic mattress protectors that crackle when you move and make you sweat in bed. Room pretty scruffy and little storage space.
It was clean and the room was simple but good
The reception area is a bit scuzzy and not very inviting
sightseeing, lot of young life around, many rest and stores near and the room was very clean, they respect personal belongings even some euros that fell below the bed, they were on the table the next day after cleaning service.
They didn't check us out, the place still has our credit card open for further charges (it's been a week) and we already paid everything, plus no internet when it was suppoused to have and awefull cust service.
There was clean, tv, and shower; but very loud at night (pub behind this hotel wall!).
Price is too high, very loud, they have not parking. Internet only near to reception.
the windows did not close properly. Therefore it was very noisy
Near subway, many mini markets nearby
The room was dirty with cockroach. The toilet was so small that take a shower or brush your teeth was almost impossible even for a very thin person. Downstairs the hotel have a bar that it's open until 3am and you can't sleep. The bed is very uncomfortable because of the bad quality mattress. Expensive! 70 euro per night I got a much better hotel in London. I don't recommend.
