they were doing a refurb which made the hotel look very shabby for the money we were paying. breakfast was expensive but very good.

Hotel not finished. Work being carried out still. Rooms large but very basic.

Visited during the course of renovation but was so organised as not to interfere with the visit. The room was very comfortable, albeit with the minimum of hanging space. It was very clean and despite a faint odour from the plumbing in the bathroom, for which we found it necessary to place a towel over the shower outlet, it met all other standards of comfort. I should add that our experience must be tempered by the forementioned refurbishment. Although our stay was over a Friday evening the room was exceptionally quiet

One small niggle and totally unecessary was the tea and coffee making facilities furnished with paper cups, yes paper.!

During our stay the hotel has been renovated. Would have been nice to have known this fact in advance.

Comfortable beds and nice view from the restaurant area

Furniture for the TV in the bedroom had been removed and replaced by one of the bed side table... Strange...

- Friendly Staff. - Position of bar - great view.

- Room doors banged loudly when shut - made mornings very noisy. - Renovations were in progress whilst we were there. Strong smell of paint. - Bar staff were not very attentive. Bar was unattended often.

Outside elevator to go up to 7th floor restaurant. View of cathedral. Restaurant was good food. Wake up call in AM was done as requested.

Painting going on in hallway with out prior notice nor discount on price. Shower floor tended to be slippery - hence dangerous.

Easy to find with parking & the roof top restaurant was ideal for our stop over on our way back to Calais Car Ferry

Secure parking at hotel, clean tub, professional staff, close walking distance to touristy restaurants and cathedral. No cigarette smoke smell.

It is unfair to evaluate a hotel during renovation. I am not sure why this hotel was accepting guests at all.

We were traveling through from Switzerland and needed a bed for the night. We got parking under the hotel and managed to get our Range Rover in the car lift! The hotel is in a great location, close to restaurants. The rooms are sufficient - there is everything you need and the colour scheme is neutral. The beds are very comfy and the room is dark which we liked. The hotel is quiet too, so for the price it was fine for a short stay.

The hotel is tried and in need of a facelift, which by the signs in the lifts the restaurant is in the process of.

The staff were very helpful, especially the young man on reception who booked us into a champagne caves tour.

Hotel needs to be renovated. Quality of the breakfast can be improved. General impression is an old fession hotel.

Spacious rooms, clean and comfortable bed. Air conditioning that worked. Nice helpful man on Reception.

Front of the Hotel looked very sad and grotty. Reception OK, but breakfast served in a very sad room, limited choice no cereals and warm cheese.

Excellent location, friendly staff and nice breakfast! Good value for money! We will come back.

Nothing. This was a horrible experience.

The hotel was under going renovations on the 5, 6 & 7 floors and the noise was horrible. Also no hot water during the day, air conditioning not always operating and an elevator was shut down. Breakfast was terrible, fruit was fermenting, toaster broken, almost out of milk for cereal. We complained about the construction and the response was booking.com should have told us. Because booking failed to inform us, we had a miserable experience and we expect compensation. Looking forward to your reply.
