After initially been told that we had been upgraded to a sea view room as it was my mothers birthday I was at first disappointed with the room. Firstly as I had already paid for a premium double sea view room so I assumed we'd been upgraded to a better one and so initially did not point out the fact that I had already paid for a sea view room as per my booking details. The first room had two trees obscuring the magnificent view. However the reception staff were more than happy to change rooms when I showed the booking documentation stating a premium double sea view room and also pointing out the fact that on signing the details on check in my original room appeared to be on the 5th floor and not the 4th floor we had been given. The second room although in need of refurbishment had the sort of view that was advertised on the website and was the room I thought I'd paid for. They explained that they gave us a room that wasn't as good as the one we were due to be allocated as we arrived earlier than the 3pm check in so they didn't want to inconvenience us with a wait. They were more than happy to change our room and I was given the option of choosing between 4 alternative ones so was happy overall. Paula (especially) and Jessica on reception were great. Phillip the driver who picks you up in the complimentary shuttle was magnificent.
Overall fantastic stay. Didn't like the fact that initially we were told we had been upgraded to a sea view room as it was my mothers birthday when in fact I had already paid for one, so felt I had been told porkie pies at first. Overall a great hotel. Not much going on in the area as low season. Would visit again.
We were a family of four staying in a Quadruple room - the room was comfortable & reasonable size for the 4 of us for 2 nights - the balcony was spacious. The view was stunning & the location was perfect for discovering the sights of Nice.
Shower leaked - but were offered a room change if wanted.
Location is good
Quality of bathroom is very bad. The water changes without possibility to control between cold and hot. There's no shower head but only shower hanle and the water comes in a weak trickle , totally cold and than extremely hot..
Very nice and helpful staff. Clean rooms. The garden very clean and looked after. Nice view of the sea and garden from the room in the 3rd floor. No streets and cars between the hotel and the sea. Several restaurants and cafés just few meters away with very nice sea view. The children could safely play all the time at the seashore with scooter and bicycle. One of the biggest shopping centers in Nice (Cap 3000) is 10 minutes walking from the hotel. We could find a free parking just against the hotel everyday of our 5 days stay, otherwise the hotel has parking for 10 euros per day. Nice-center is 10 minutes by car (when no heavy traffic), by bus (line 52) about 25 minutes. Bus station about 6-7 minutes walking. Renting bicycles is possible (near bus stop) but you need criditcard and french celphone. Wifi free and very good. We had concerns because of the noise of the airport but it turnd out not to be a problem at all. We will come back and surely recommend it.
The stony seaside makes it difficult to enjoy swimming and playing in and near water. No swimming pool. No boat round trips in october. People at the reception are often very few (just one !) that they are often overburdened with a lot of guests and telephones. They are very nice and ready to help but are simply very few that is why it takes sometimes long time to get help. Buses are available till 9 PM. If you are late you will have to take a taxi which is very expensive.
Kindness! Location! Service!
location, wi-fi and mattresses
Shabbiness of in-room furniture....for such a wonderful location, more frequent re-furbishing would be a real enhancement....I also was not made to feel special as a IHG gold member...had to ask for benefits and received a free drink coupon for one person, even though I had a companion in the room....
big rooms. Close to beach. restaurants and airport.
Breakfast too expensive.
The balcony was very low and our child could easily have climpbed over it and fallen to his death
Location, right on beach, sea view from room balcony. Clean, spacious room, good bed, great bathroom, nice towels. Navette picked us up from airport and driver brought our bags to room, a comfort as we are both over 80 years of age.
Disappointed that dining room was closed for dinner. We did find agood restaura nt along the beach though.
Close to the Nice airport and on the beach, a perfect location. All facilities good, free shuttle, staff attentive and helpful, a faultless stay.
Nothing to report.
We arrived 3 hours early and the staff was kind enough to allow us to check in which was fast an smooth.rooms was spacious, clean and had a good although not paranomic view of the sea.going to nice or cannes from here was easy with the train station about ten mins walk and bus stop was five mins away.a huge shopping center cap 3000 was a 5 mins walk along the promanade.numerous food outlets was right along the promanade immediately behind the premise.
The apartment was very clean well equipped and and set in a secure location. The owners were also very helpful and courteous. Bus route close by 10 mins to Promenade De Anglais
No electric kettle supplied for making tea
Hotel location was perfect and the rooms were ideal for 4 sharing with a fabulous sea view. Worth the extra money! Lovely private sandy beach and a variety of bars and restaurants minutes walk from the hotel. Local bus and train service very handy to Nice and Monte Carlo. The service in the hotel topped the weekend off especially Marco who served us in the bar until late all weekend! We will be returning next year.
Expensive breakfast but there is a local supermarket 2 mins walk away and also breakfast served in all restsurants along the beach
Good room & location.
We arrived at 2pm & our room was not ready so we thought a drink was a good idea whilst we waited. However drink or food was not available and were were directed to the nearby esplanade where there were cafes & bars. I cannot recall a hotel of this catagory & cost not offering such facilites at 2pm.
We liked the easy acces from the airport to the hotel. We liked the service from the housekeeper (on the 4th floor). Overall our whole experience was great and will come back again.
We could not acces a phone to call for a shuttle at the airport. We did not eat breakfast apart from 1 omlette which was just not nice, when i asked for French toast it came up as regular ( miscommunication? )
The location makes it amazing , area doesn't sleep in September I was here and love it so much
Hotel is old and A/C is week but the weather was good Parking expensive little bit
The location was awesome! Great restaurants and shopping mall close by!!
The rooms were a bit small.
Being a family of six, our reservation was booked on the following basis: One quadruble bedroom One double bedroom Upon arrival at the hour 15:00 the receptionist confronted us with rude attitude contesting at the begining the fact that our above booking was made for four people until I showed her the confirmation slip. She said then will check with management and tell us if it is OK. After a short while, she came back to say that Hotel will accomadate us but have to wait until the hour 16:30 to be admitted to the room which is contrary to 15:00 agreed check-in time. After unnecessary wait compounded by the long hectic overseas travel we had, we came back to collect the key and were surprized to be given a room with four beds attached to each other. This of course in addition to the double room which was OK. In my opinion, this was by all means unacceptable and intolerable especially when this treat comes from a reckon name in the Hotel industry.
The hotel was in a nice area with lots of restaurants and a nice walking area.
The hotel is a little rusty. The beach is small and often full of stones, and the water was dirty, very far from the "azur" we expected to find. The images of the hotel made us believe they had a pool, which would have been nice considering the sea, but it turned out to be just a small water fountain.
Large room, nice breakfast, much better than other 4star hotels in the region. Super close to beach.
The hotel room only rate provides good value for money, situated on a sea front promenade within a small resort type location just about 10 minutes drive from the centre of Nice. The rooms are functional, have good sized balconies, comfortable beds, good sized clean bathrooms and very basic amenities (kettle, tea / coffee etc.). The hotel is located within a small commercial district with direct access to a seafront promenade with a variety of restaurants / bars and public access pebble beaches. The CAP 3000 retail park is just a few minutes walk from the hotel with a range of stores and Galleries Lafayette outlet and GL brand supermarket. There is a regular bus service into the Nice centre if you don't want to take your car. An underground public car park is available for hotel guests at 10Euro a day (access card available from the hotel reception). Great location for the airport, being just a five minute drive away with no plane or road noise heard within the room.
Additional charges for the private beach, breakfast and parking could make this not such a 'value' option if you use all these - so double check what you are getting in your rate. The hotel has no pool and whilst there is a private beach for guests, there are daily or half daily charges for sun loungers etc. (however next to this is a good stretch of public beach so no need to pay). Our room price did not include breakfast so at 18 Euro a head this can quickly add a considerable cost to the 'value' room, however there are a number of restaurants outside the hotel along the promenade which offer breakfasts from about 5 Euro upwards so worth the walk.
Personal friendly Room good and clean
Gym very dirty. Breakfast Not at the water like the example pictures. In the morning not enough cutlery and dishes
Really great location for a stopover on way back to Nice airport. Fantastic balcony and view. Very comfortable beds. Great to have beach option too. Really lovely restaurants so close, for dinner and breakfast too (much cheaper than hotel and amazing view)
