The location is superb: the Old Town is 5 minutes away on foot, the nearest tram stop is even closer. The room was nice, had a balcony, the place was quite pleasant in general.
Location near city centre is fine. The room is not too expensive. Breakfast is good. Wifi connection is being extended to some of the rooms, not only to the "public areas".
Unfortunately, my room was very loud: street, shower of the neighbour, toilets of the room above mine. Breakfast is good, but always the same, which is boring for a 5-day stay.
location, size of room
bed too soft, breakfast was expensive
staff very welcoming and pleasant
The manageress spoke English well and was helpful providing map and local information. We found it an easy walk to the old town and surrounds, but it is uphill and you need moderate fitness, however the tram is nearby. Bathroom is recently updated. Would recommend the generous breakfast provided for only 6.50 euros.
We found the bed quite hard, but that appears to just be standard in Europe so not a complaint, just an observation! Wi-fi is available in the lounge area and is quite slow, fine for checking messages, but probably inadequate if needed for business. We were on the first floor and it was a little noisy if others came in late and were moving about above or closing doors along the hallway.
Friendly and discreet staff Cleanliness
Noisy rooms (traffic) Very basic rooms
Great Staff! When we arrive the hotel, we met a terrible heavy rain. Staff in hotel helped us a lot, even bring food to us and help us to call can rental company to change the car
People was quite sympa to us and provide us a good stay. The hotel is placed in a good spot (centre-ville).
It would be great to make available a microwave and fridge at the rooms.
Breakfast on the patio
Noisy tv one night but that could happen anywhere
Staff was very helpful and friendly Reduced price for parking near the hotel Bedsize Location.only a short walk to the old town
No air conditioning in the room Breakfast not included in room prize
Room was good, nice and airy, good bed and excellent bathroom. Breakfast was good value and enjoyable. Staff very friendly. We liked it enough to go back for the last night of our stay in France as well.
Room a bit noisy, but probably standard for a city location.
Charm and convenience.
Parking around the hotel was difficult but free. Paid parking next door.
Location, room comfort, breakfast value.
Staff very friendly and helpful. Brought tea (complimentary) to room on more then one occasion when asked. Large comfy superking size bed
confort, location, cleanliness
Saw from outside the hotel seems really poor. Luckily inside it was not
Good location at the corner of centre historique but easily accessible by car. Very service minded staff, helped phoning the gas station to check if it was open.
The wifi did not cover my room
- wifi only available in the lobby
Closer to the city center than expected. Very nice terrace.
Very small bathroom. Wifi only worked downstairs.
Everything has been recently redone. Bathroom in room 8 is a good size. Staff are friendly. It is a very basic place yet ideally located to the tramway (ligne 1 et 4) and a few minutes walk from many good restaurants. It is quiet.
Not enough electrical outlets in room. Info about breakfast could have been clearer. Access to internet only on terrasse or in common sitting room.
We were looking for accommodation in a relatively restricted area of the town and this came up top of the list because of previous reviews and the price. Rooms in French city hotels tend to be on the smaller side if you don't want to pay a fortune, and this fit right into the picture: by the time we had our luggage in the room, there wasn't much space to move about. However this was as expected and the size of the bed (160x200 estimated) and the comfort of the bed made up for it! Given the outside temperatures in June we also appreciated having a fan in the room and being able to open the window. No problems parking outside on a quiet side street. Good-sized bathroom, very clean. Hotel looked recently refurbished (reception area, room), although carpets in hallway could have done with refurbishment (bit worn down). Breakfast was served outside in a small courtyard, service at breakfast and for check-in/check-out was friendly and efficient. Definitely a good place to stay.
Position of loo in the bathroom seemed a bit odd: it was propped up one step from the general bathroom floor, so it really seemed like sitting on a throne :-) We think they may have had no other easy option though if the bathroom was installed at a later stage.
All staff very accommodating, particularly young Angela.
Very friendly staff
No wifi in the rooms..))only in the living-room of the hotel. Staff very very friendly
Very welcoming and helpful host, perfect for one night stopover
Parking not easy and there was an odd musty smell in the building / bedroom.
The staff were extremely helpful even though myself or my friends did not speak a single word of French. The hotel is in a brilliant location and is only 15 mins walk to the old city or a 2 min walk to the nearest tram. There is also other shops and restaurants close by beside the tram station which were nice. I have already planned my next visit to Montpellier and will definitely be staying in this hotel again!
