Hostellerie de la Bouriane  

Nothing was too much trouble for the owner and his wife who went out of their way to ensure that our stay was memorable As it turned out we had to cut our stay by a day for family reasons. This was not a problem for them.. The restuarant was a gourmet experience. We opted for demi pension as there did not seem too many restuarants around the locality which were open. What a wise choice! Memorable meals all cooked by the owners wife. Very varied and generous and the winw list! - 3 days could not possibly do justice to the wide selection of regional wines in the hotel's cellars. We opted for the 'superior room' which was small but adequate and clean and no doubt if we had paid more we would have got a better room. But apart from the welcoming mein of 'mine hosts' it was the wonderful restuarant and quality of food which is the hotel's selling point for us. We will visit again for sure. They are supposed to have good food but we didn't eat there.

What I didn't like is that they are closed daily from 12 to 3 pm and they do not say this in their advertising. They say check-in is from 3 to 5 pm but make no mention of whent they are closed. They get really crabby if you mention this to them. If they list the closure time I would recommend it.

The hostellarie de la bouriane is one of the finest family owned boutique hotels we have stayed in. The level of elegance, comfort and discreet but ever present service was exceptional. Meals were a gastronomic experience, the level of presentation, quality and range of the menu, and professionalism of the staff would do credit to a five star Michelin establishment. Pleasant quiet location in an interesting town with many restaurants. Ideal base for sightseeing.

A shower fitting in bathroom would have been preferable.

Thoroughly enjoyed our brief stay and would happily recommend the hotel to others. We will stay again.

Mathais the family run receptionist / head waiter was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble, choice of local wines (not by price) flexible menu, the best drive for sightseeing and all with courteous humour. We originaly booked for a one night stop over - but stayed for two nights. The continental breakfast is strongly recommended for its detailed content. A definate gem.....

Rien à dire l'acceuil , chambre , ascenseur , en fait tres classe et proximité de tout autre commerce , silencieux tres agreable à vivre
