Modern, nicely decorated rooms, great breakfast and good food in the evening. Very friendly hotel owner and overall superb atmosphere. Fast WLAN. Hostellerie du Randonneur is located in a charming, small village in the mountains, perfect for motorcyclists!
A bright, comfortable room and lovely ensuite bathroom. There was a bath to relax in, such a rare thing in hotels now! We walked to the Maginot fort high above the hotel. Splendid views.
No TV anywhere? Not really a problem. The evening meal was a little unexciting.
The whole ambience of the hotel. Staff great, company also good.
We stayed in the hotel just for one night while touring France on a motorbike. It was a wonderful stay and we deeply regretted that we could't stay longer as we had the following night booked in a hotel in Nice. I can honestly say that this was the best night during our 2 week holiday, although we stayed in some 4 star hotel Hostellerie de Rimplas is still better! Stephane is a great host. We arrived at about 5pm after a very adventurous day riding the bike in the Alps. The road to Rimplas was part of the fun! Cold beer and breathtaking views from the terrace were all we needed at the time. We didn't book a meal in advance. The other restaurant in the village was fully booked (we heard "impossible is impossible";) so Stephane managed to accommodate us for dinner made by his wife. It was great home cooking. We had great evening walking the village and the fort on the Maginot line. The following morning a bucket of water and sponge was next to our bike as Stephane noticed that the bike was very dirty! Thank you for a great stay. We will be back!
A group of 4 of us arrived after a hard, hilly days cycling; a beautiful location with stunning views. A warm welcome and comfy, light, airy rooms. The owner was extremely helpful in booking us into the eatery a matter of moments away as we hadn't booked for dinner at the hostel itself. A lovely village, delightful host and stunning views made this a stop to remember on a multi day cycling trip. A place to find a moment of peace in an otherwise hectic world.
Netter Empfang, ruhige Lage.
Etwas abseits gelegen.
Great place to stay to enjoy the beautiful local wilderness. Great hosts. Great food. Not far from the coast too.
The drive in from Italy was a bit hair-raising.
We had a wonderful time at the hotel. It's located in a quiet and cool village. Great place to stay close to Le Colmiane. In this village, you'll find the best burgers in the Alps.
Perfect location at all times with incredible views. Easy parking. Great rooms and very comfortable beds. Spotless. Extremely well run business! Great breakfast - we didn't get a chance to stay for dinner (varied menu every night) - the local Pous' Cafe serves excellent food so if you are staying a few nights no need to take the car. Amazing setting for walks and trips around the area and to St Martin Vesubie with the fuss of being in noisy St Martin Vesubie! You'll want to go back - we are planning our next weekend there!
Owners very friendly and helpful.
Very friendly and helpful staff, fantastic location, great food, very clean and comfortable.
Our second visit and again we were very impressed by our hosts who really look after their guests. We loved having drinks outside whilst looking at the mountains. Clean and convivial.
Large, comfortable room. Very helpful host. A small hotel, on the edge of an ancient village, with great views over the Tinee valley. The view from the old Maginot Line fort is worth the ten-minute walk (or you can drive up). Five or six miles off the main (Tinee) route to Nice but well worth the minor diversion.
Awesome atmosphere, very welcoming family run business. You don't get a better view whilst having a beer! I'd go back more often if I didn't live in Australia.
Omg what can I say. After I great road upto the hotel (being a biker your love) we tured up only to see the best views from a hotel i have very seen. Family run and not many rooms. Great food and even a free beer. Would definitely come back. Even supplied bucket of water and rags to clean out bike in the morning. Fantastic thanks
Host, location, walking routes, old village, home cooking.
Host was welcoming, great food, beautiful view, wonderful experience
We visited for one night while exploring the French side of the southern Alps. Our stay was wonderful. A warm welcome, beautiful view from our room, and a wonderful homemade dinner. The innkeeper and his wife were great hosts and we would highly recommend them and their hostellerie based on our exoerience. The breakfast the morning after was thoughtfully prepared and lovely.
We have no additional feedback. It was a great stay.
It was very peaceful, comfortable, the food was very good and Stephane was very friendly and helpful.
Exceptionally welcoming & friendly owners. Lovely clean newly decorated room with an amazing view situated in a really pretty mountain top village. Tasty home cooked food. A great find.
We liked the homely atmosphere and the warmth and friendliness of the owners. The rooms are small but spotlessly clean and well maintained. We would stay here again.
The dining area was a little chilly in the evening, but this did not spoil our stay, we just had to wear an extra jumper!
Had a great time with my family at this place. A true family run place with all the warmth that comes with it. Coming down to a set meny enjoying the big open fire every evening was the best. Highly recommended
Friendly owners made us and our small children feel welcome and made sure we were comfortable. Very clean and comfortable room. Excellent service and food for dinner. Beautiful setting perched on the side of the mountain, in a cute village which was fun to explore. Good base for walks or hikes.
