The setting, the beautiful building and pool. The space, the gardens, the ample parking. Breakfast was varied and good quality.

The water signs - in our room was label "non potable", but in my sisters room the label was missing. She consequently drank the water and felt unwell the next day whilst travelling.

We arrived to beautiful weather so went straight to the pool area, very picturesque setting. The bedroom was very opulent, beautiful bathroom. We walked around the surrounding area, very interesting monument and church. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice. Would certainly revisit.

    Nothing it was wonderful.

Beautiful location, excellent rooms and a good price. Some staff (possibly the owner? ) very helpful.

No one at reception when we arrived and no indication of how to get someone there. We ended up having to telephone the hotel from the lobby! Meantime we had free access to all the keys including for rooms which were occupied, which is very poor. When we eventually did get service we were shown the rooms but given no indignation about breakfast, facilities etc. Finally, ewe discovered the hotel doesn't have a restaurant despite the Booking.com website claiming it does. Given its rural location that's important to know as it may impact on plans.

Everything. The Staff, Room, Setting, Pool. All were superb. The place is so far off the map, yet 10 mins from Sezanne. Beautiful setting, & decor was outstanding.

Friendly staff who are helpful and intuitive. Room clean and tidy with great bed, firm and comfortable. Extra pillows (varying in firmness) and blankets in room for use. Anyone who likes a hot strong shower. This is the best, tonnes of piping hot water, that never runs out. More like a deluge than a shower! No dancing to get wet. Very scenic driving up and the hotel amazing. Staff stored our road bikes in an annexe so we didn't need to carry them on the car during the evenings. Lovely pool we did not use to it's fullest as weather not the best. Great weather for cycling just not sunbathing/ outdoor swimming. Area rolling hills, with lovely rural scenery with routes to suit all cycling levels.

no air con. Have to drive everywhere, as 6 miles from the closest village Sézanne.

lovely hotel, lovely large, clean, well equipped bedrooms, friendly staff, free safe parking, restaurants 7km away in Sezanne, good choice .... look out for deer crossing the roads !

pool was out of action, we booked it for that ! no restaurant or chef, not easy for the establishment being in the middle of nowhere, such a shame.

Friendly&helping staff, quiet&relaxing environment, great position for exploring Champagne.

There is no possibility for a dinner in the hotel, which requires some driving to the nearest town. I was looking forward to the swimming pool, which was not functioning due to a storm couple of days before. The swimming pool was one of the reasons why I booked this hotel, so I was a bit disappointed that I was not informed about it before arriving. It would be good to do it in future as lots of guests might book this hotel because of the swimming pool.

Amazingly spacious and well appointed bedrooms. Very friendly and helpful staff. Local restaurants in neighbouring town produced excellent food.

It was a pity that the restaurant was not open for dinner at this time of the year- needed someone to drive into the next town.

Good breakfast buffet. Rather imposing on arrival but the warm welcome soon overcame that. Upgraded to suite to allow for my mobility difficulties.

Restaurant was closed and we had to go into Sezanne for food.

Very quiet in the middle of the countryside. Spacious and well-decorated rooms.

Isolation of the rooms (we could hear our neighbours) - a bit empty on a Sunday night

Everything was really great. Fabulous place and pure leisure. The venue is fantastic. Very friendly staff and extremely clean rooms.

The address on the booking.com site and hotel's web page is completely wrong. It's best to call for coordinates.

A beautiful building in lovely countryside. Staff were helpful and the rooms were spacious and delightful.

There was no restaurant and the nearest town for finding one was too far for comfort especially on such a wet and windy night. Particularly disappointing as on booking we had not noticed there was no restaurant and had specifically requested a "table in the restaurant" for that night. Why hadn't someone in the hotel simply emailed me to point out my mistake?

Beautiful location and a lovely setting. Spacious room. well appointed and luxurious

No restaurant although the breakfast was very nice. Signage rather poor and difficult to find. Definitely needs more publicity. A sat-nav is a must

Fabulously fresh, deep pool after long, hot journey. Delightful, big room. Very helpful staff, both when we phoned up lost (from the chateau where our satnav sent us!) and when we went to the pool with our small dog. Fridge supplied for our use in the room without usual rip-off mini-bar.

It would have been helpful to know that we needed either our own element/kettle to boil the water, or plenty of bottled water - they gave 2 complementary small bottles. Quite hard to find food in August!
