The castle was lovely and the staff are accommodating. It's a beautiful, quiet setting for a relaxing break and the pool is excellent.

The room was amazing in the castle downstairs but had a damp smell.

The pool, the beautiful room, our bathroom in a turret, the delicious food and wine.

Being able to check-in and not go out again was a welcome luxury on our traveling holiday. The pool was lovely, the drink on the terrace relaxing and the four course dinner superb.

The room was rather on the small side and not quite as comfortable as everything else about the hotel would suggest.

Enjoyed a wonderful dinner on the terrace on a beautiful evening. The property was amazing and the kids loved the pool, although a little chilly. Staff was helpful and attentive. A wonderful chateau experience!

The setting and style of the hotel. The food was fantastic although not inexpensive.

Surfacing from the car park to the hotel was largely gravel meaning bags could not be wheeled and had to be carried.

Nice old building to stay in. Good sized swimming pool. Quiet location despite proximity to main road.

Wifi was only available reliably from reception. Meals on offer were expensive so we self catered.

A real chateau converted into a hotel. Beautiful building and nice quiet surrounding. good private car parking. Open air swimming pool at back of hotel. Place excellent for photos.

Not enough service, although staff nice. No porter for luggages. No menu given when asked whether to take the half board dinner. Found out didn't like it at dinner time and so a la carte menu chosen eventually, and was told might have to wait a long time. Food actually came quite quick. The restaurant charged us the cheese when we found out later that they never gave us the cheese. It was raining so room was damp as no air-con in the rooms and we had insect bite. from bed ?

We had a very nice dinner outside. The pool was very pleasant set in the castle gardens. The place was very peaceful and quiet. It is well located (albeit hard enough to find) for a stop-over on the way south. The staff were very nice and helpful.

This is a real conundrum. Ok, it's a castle with towers and high walls etc, but we expected a lot more luxury. We got a bedroom that was extremely faded with scruffy carpets and fittings. The décor was old-fashioned (and not the good old-fashioned). I never got the feeling of cleanliness in the room. It was pokey as well. Breakfast was quite poor. Unfortunately, I don't think I'd stay again.

The food, you must eat there during your stay restaurant fabulous. The wines the best od burgundy from as little as a few miles away. The chateau it's self is a wonderful relaxing place and if you love good wines perfectly located to tour and taste the best.

Bit of walk into Chagny which is nothing to write home about!

Historic site, authentic decorations and furniture, we had a large quadruple room, probably one of the largest in this hotel. Nice place and good location to visit the Bourgogne. We were quite satisfied.

Breakfast and diner overpriced. The Internet did not worked most of the time, but when it works was good. Some minor improvements are needed: a coffee kit in the room, hungers for towels, etc.

Warm welcome. Sizeable room. Fabulous breakfast (would like to have had dinner a deux, but not suitable for young family). Pleasant gardens for kids to run around in.

Dated decor. The town of Chagny itself was disappointing - but that's hardly the hotel's fault!

This was a fabulous place to stay. the welcome was friendly and accommodation comfortable and beautifully decorated with antiques and plush furnishings. The evening meal was delicious and the surroundings just lovely. I would highly recommend this as a place to stay when in Burgundy.

    Nothing really

picturesque, good location for onward travelling. Room was clean but adequate.

Smell of food odour from kitchen permeated the stairway and first floor. Menu pricing for evening meal - expensive!
