Château de Challanges is a renovated 19th century country house set in 7 hectares of forest. It offers an outdoor swimming pool, just 2 minutes from the A6 leading to the south of France.
Score from 411 reviews Very good
Located 2.5 miles south of Beaune, Les Allées du Green is situated within the grounds of Levernois golf course. It has a heated indoor swimming pool and a sauna.
Score from 535 reviews Good
A modern and design B&B set in the historic centre of Beaune, Le 5 offers suites that are decorated according to one of the five senses: sight, touch, hearing, smell and taste.
Score from 266 reviews Excellent
Set in a winery and mansion built in 1835, Prosper Maufoux – Maison des Grands Crus is a B&B 18 km from Beaune, in the Burgundy wine region.

Not much.Poor quality everything
Needs a facelift and room update. Room & bath small. Extremely poor lighting.only bedside lights to illuminate the entire roomyet way to bright to ever read by! One small window thru which a spotlight shone all night. Only way to sleep was to completely shut metal shutters.Ventilation totally cut off. Hotel restaurant one meal choice for guest. Stairways to our 3rd floor room were difficult to maneuver. Would not recommend
Food was excellent and staff were efficient and helpful. We were in the tower at the front of the hotel which was novel! Owner and her team ran the hotel very well and overall good value for money.
No shower ( shower lead in bath) and no screen. TV reception and channel choice poor.
The proximity of this accommodation was excellent if you are interested in Cote de Beaune wineries. Also the surrounding grounds of the chateau were extensive making it a haven.
The building is stunningly beautiful and the grounds likewise. The outdoor pool and lounging area were a joy in the early September heat. All the staff were friendly, polite and helpful. The bedroom was bright and comfortable and had everything you could wish for an overnight stay. The food was exceptionally good, and the service and atmosphere quite the best in Burgundy we have found.
There was not a single thing to dislike.
Comfortable bed Friendly staff Nice building with a great ambience, interesting history of the building. Good breakfast with a wide selection of cold foods. Fantastic wine list starting from very reasonable prices to the very expensive for the wine buff.
Poor lighting in bathroom Separate WC No choice of evening meal on deal we had this was not made clear through bookings.com. We booked three rooms in total, everybody had problems with their door locks. Wifi not very good but a least they had it available.
People, Castle, room, Bathroom ;-)
We were there too short ;-)
Staff-just throw u the keys, that's it. Room-terribly poor sound proofing, u can definitely hear what happen in the room next to u; extremely noisy Hotel-make every space into a hotel room. What u can tell it's a castle is just the photo of the building shown in booking.com. Don't expect there is more u can see anything more. I've stayed in more than 30 castle hotel and it is definitely the worse worse worse one. Don't pict this one if u want more than a room with bed.
The castle was lovely and the staff are accommodating. It's a beautiful, quiet setting for a relaxing break and the pool is excellent.
The room was amazing in the castle downstairs but had a damp smell.
The pool, the beautiful room, our bathroom in a turret, the delicious food and wine.
Great room with French flare Very clean and comfortable Wonderful dining room with great food and wines Very friendly and helpful staff Close to Meursault and Pommard wineries and others Would go back and stay a week
Being able to check-in and not go out again was a welcome luxury on our traveling holiday. The pool was lovely, the drink on the terrace relaxing and the four course dinner superb.
The room was rather on the small side and not quite as comfortable as everything else about the hotel would suggest.
Loved the building and location near Beaune and local vineyards.
Rooms were slightly old fashioned in decor but this didn't detract as we could easily see this in the photos before we booked.
Enjoyed a wonderful dinner on the terrace on a beautiful evening. The property was amazing and the kids loved the pool, although a little chilly. Staff was helpful and attentive. A wonderful chateau experience!
The setting and style of the hotel. The food was fantastic although not inexpensive.
Surfacing from the car park to the hotel was largely gravel meaning bags could not be wheeled and had to be carried.
Great castle-like room and wonderful dinner.
Wifi was weak.
Grounds were excellent Build gorgeous Overall
The mosquitoes in RM 3 must go!
Nice old building to stay in. Good sized swimming pool. Quiet location despite proximity to main road.
Wifi was only available reliably from reception. Meals on offer were expensive so we self catered.
A real chateau converted into a hotel. Beautiful building and nice quiet surrounding. good private car parking. Open air swimming pool at back of hotel. Place excellent for photos.
Not enough service, although staff nice. No porter for luggages. No menu given when asked whether to take the half board dinner. Found out didn't like it at dinner time and so a la carte menu chosen eventually, and was told might have to wait a long time. Food actually came quite quick. The restaurant charged us the cheese when we found out later that they never gave us the cheese. It was raining so room was damp as no air-con in the rooms and we had insect bite. from bed ?
We love the setting and the history . The food was excellent . We have been coming for many years.
Beautiful hotel and fantastic dinner. A very special stay.
Didn't have a proper shower.
We had a very nice dinner outside. The pool was very pleasant set in the castle gardens. The place was very peaceful and quiet. It is well located (albeit hard enough to find) for a stop-over on the way south. The staff were very nice and helpful.
This is a real conundrum. Ok, it's a castle with towers and high walls etc, but we expected a lot more luxury. We got a bedroom that was extremely faded with scruffy carpets and fittings. The décor was old-fashioned (and not the good old-fashioned). I never got the feeling of cleanliness in the room. It was pokey as well. Breakfast was quite poor. Unfortunately, I don't think I'd stay again.
location & gardens
Location and situation.
Stayed here before but felt quality in restaurant had gone down.Limited menue with cheese course a few pieces taken out of the fridge.
The food, you must eat there during your stay restaurant fabulous. The wines the best od burgundy from as little as a few miles away. The chateau it's self is a wonderful relaxing place and if you love good wines perfectly located to tour and taste the best.
Bit of walk into Chagny which is nothing to write home about!
Friendly Staff. Good food.
