Hotel: old historical building, located in the city(village) center - 3 star max (service, rooms, etc). Good for restaurant visiting and 1 night accommodation. Michelin star restaurant is perfect (product, place, price) and highly recommended.
no parking place for guests not comfortable beds
We loved the lobby and entrance to the hotel. Our room was compact...they made good use of a tiny space. The bed and bedding was comfortable. The pillows were excellent. The only negative was the shower/ bath. We found this a lot thru France. There was no shower curtain and it was a hand held sprayer nozzle. Hard to keep the water in the tub.
I already mentioned the negative thing.
The hotel was excellently refurbished and on our return stay they upgraded our room at no extra charge. Loved the strawberries in the room. Bed was very comfortable and the room/bathroom was very clean.
Didn't go much on the stairs but it would not put me off staying there again.
This was a wonderful find in the village of La Turbie which overlooks Monaco. The hotel entrance is in a narrow passageway in the atmospheric old part of the village. We received a warm welcome and help with our luggage. There is free parking over the road from the hotel but it can fill up quickly so be prepared to wait a few minutes for a space. The room was quiet, cosy and spotlessly clean. We were sorry we had to leave earlier than planned on our last day due to the Air France strike and cancellation of our flight from Nice to Paris. We missed our breakfast on the terrace so we will just have to return and have it next time!
Parking in La Turbie can be a challenge but you do need a car if you stay here. Driving the Corniches is a must and is worth the minor hassle of finding a parking space.
It is with great reluctance that I praise highly Hostelerie Jerome because I would like to keep it secret so not too many people overrun the place but it is so exceptional that it needs to be recognised for its excellence and I have confidence that the standards will be maintained as as it is run by the charming couple M&Mrs Cirino
Everything was perfect
Booked based on terrace. At arrival, 6pm of a beautiful day asked for a glass of wine to be served in the terrace with sea views...answer: terrace is closed, but we can serve you the wine in your room....??? What you mean closed? Yeah, there is no service in terrace.....breakfast? None before 8 30am.....
A very personal place and well attended by the owner and staff. Always so polite. The position is ideal surrounded with so much character and views. The suite is more expensive but worth paying the extra for the space and view. We wouldn't consider staying anywhere else in the area.
Only problem it the narrow staircases when dealing with the luggage. However, staff will attentively rush to help you and insist that their energetic young staff should do all the moving of luggage.
The old hotel itself, and walking in the beautiful town around it. We had a pleasant breakfast out on the terrace but unfortunately couldn't sample the dining room, which is highly rated.
The incovenient entrance though that,in some ways, is part of the hotel's charm. The ancient street is so narrow that taxis can't get up to it.
Lovely hotel, really nice staff.
church bells ringing in the morning- every hour.
Excellent location in La Turbie, close to the Trophee des Alpes, nice room with sea view and very good dinner on the terrace.
Nothing really,slightly difficult to find.
Superb location Free parking Incredible beautiful building Fantistic rooms Free wifi The kitchen of the hotel is one of the best, superb food, local products The fantastic amazing breakfast, overwelming Fantastic host and staff The location, it is close to Montecarlo by car and close to Nice.
Everything was perfect!
The girl at the desk suggest us to eat in their restaurant.. The restaurant looks not that good but the food is really tasty and people working there are friendly! Then comes the bill.. It's extremely expensive!
Hotel certainly has a history and good care. Water and fruits in the room were very kind. Free parking nearby. Hotel is right in the historic center - go for a walk - breathtaking view. You won't regret staying in La Turbie.
No sound proof rooms. The restaurant in the hotel is Michelin one, but still smells like a restaurant, so when they cook something - you will certainly smell it. If you lack the money - try restaurant on the terrace just across the free parking - we enjoyed it very much
This was a lovely hotel in a beautiful location - top class!
Fantastic location, beautiful views, lovely rooms... can't think of anything to complain about!
The place is absolutely great. The hostess is very friendly and I guess she upgraded us to a better room, as the facilities and the room overall were much nicer than expected. Very spacious room and bathroom, very clean and well maintained. The village of La Turbie also is very nice itself and is a great base for trips to Ese and Monaco (better if you have car).
Really cannot think of anything, we didn't want to leave
The breakfast in the room is a joy and really good. Large bed. Overall, a great and truely French experience. Would book it again. There are restaurants nearby if you don't want to spend too much money in the hotel restaurant. We can recommend the Cafe de la Fontaine.
It was hard to find a parking lot in the public area. No escalator. But these are just two minor things.
