We had a short break in this hotel which was in an excellent location with good public parking. The bedroom was air conditioned which was a blessing. Breakfasts were very expensive and the staff were totally disorganised. You had to ask for cutlery, condiments etc. The shower in the en suite was adequate but you could not adjust the height of the shower spray as the fixing bracket was broken and the front of the on off dial was missing.

The hotel staff was extremely friendly. The hotel is beautiful, every room has a view of something (either the river or the town). Every room is also decorated differently. Very dog friendly. Parking right across the street (and free after 1900 on Saturdays, all day Sunday). I slept through breakfast. But my travel mates said the food was wonderful. Great location to explore the town, or take an excusion to see the monkeys! Nothing! I will come again.

The locations was perfect and the staff very helpful. Dinner was lovely. We had to change rooms. Our first one was so small and had been decorated bynZelda the witch. I was surprised that a hotel of this character should have such a appalling pseudo modern designer revamp them. Our second room...(25 Euros more) was better but very green and iridescent. The staff were pleasant but not exactly welcoming. Maybe if I had dressed better. Later they were nicer.

The location The room -- the only one we were offered -- was tiny and overheated. The bed was tiny. The mattress was uncomfortable. The shower temperature could not be adjusted and was set at scalding, so for two days we had no shower. The 20-euro-per-person breakfast featured stale bread and a small selection of other options. The 50-euro-per-person lunch had indifferent service and the main course, which was surely intended to be hot, was served cold. I'm not complaining, just saying...

Room was small. Dinner was good but not as good as we expected. This was our 10th day in France, the land of wonderful food.

The location was great! We were close to everything, but not in the frantic center. The patio was a lovely place to sit and have a coffee or wine. The computer was difficult to figure out because of the keyboard. They need to have instructions for non-European users. I wasted most of my computer time figuring out the keyboard, erasing keystrokes and starting over because of mistakes. Also, the pillows were lumpy and hard.

Breakfast was poor compared with many 3 star hotels, even. Evening menu and one or two of the dining room staff were rather pretentious.

The location was excellent and despite its central location we were able to find parking relatively easily. The room had a four-poster bed which was quite comfortable and we were not disturbed by noise from the street. The room was cleaned very well. Where to start. Very overpriced. The room smelled musty all the time. The bathroom had a jacuzzi which was very noisy when operated so we only used it once ! The complementary toiletries were not replenished. The additional 15 euros per person for breakfast was a complete rip-off as there was no hot food served. The cheese and cold meats were left out on the table to congeal in the sunshine. The same thing with the yoghurts - they were warm. The windows overlooking the canal were frosted so you couldn't take advantage of the view. On the whole, I was very disappointed.

It's location is superb, walking distant to every tourist spot. Cusine was delicious and the price is suitable. For us, old men, it is pity there is no lifgt. but they helped us bring the baggage to and from the room.

Wonderful hotel in the center of the old district of Colmar, France. Great place from which to explore all of the Alsace region and a great in-city spot to find great quisine. Wifi was available, but didn't reach our room. Not a great inconvenience since there was both an adjacent free computer to use as well as comfortable seating in the lobby and adjacent outdoor terrace

“The hotel was the chosen because it was close to the centre of Colmar and was 80 euros for a double - only 10 euros more than the other two star hotels which were all near rthe railway station. Excellent staff, great location, very comfortable room with airconditioning. Should be 3 star.” Matt, Frankfurt |
