The hotel was very pleasant. It was cosy and not too big. The room was good. The hotel was located very centrally in Colmar with the "Little Venice" and the old city center right next door.
The wi-fi was fine in the lobby, but not too good in the room.
Very well located downtown along the river, complete breakfast.
Room design could be improved (getting old). Nice old house but not fully soundproof
It was a lovely hotel with great staff great location can't comment on the dining as we never did there but breakfast was excellent
Very bad reception for WIFI quite important when traveling
The location is good , can walk to train station and the colmar downtown. This is a very classic style hotel . All decoration is very classic ,
Maybe other travels are lucky to got the bigger space of double room . My two teenage and me and my husband all got pretty squeezed double when check out asked the staff she said although our room are verysmall but we had the little Venice river window view room . Actually we can't enjoy the view as the window is very small .
I thought that the pillows and quilt that are for decorative purpose smelt old and some stains on smaller cushions. The bedding was immaculate.
Great location.Quiet area.
A toilet that was the size of a very small cupboard. Good thing we were not a large size couple! Had to pay for parking. The duvet would have been lovely for a winter break but far too hot for this time of year. Reading lighting is poor
Location. Had top floor room which was very cute and had view of canal.
Carpet was filthy, even had what appeared to be dried up barf in one corner. Breakfast price outrageous, especially for what offered.
We liked the charm of the rooms and the location was excellent.
The hotel is located at the beginning of the historic part of the city, it takes 5-10 minutes to reach center, which is convenient. The hotel's chef is good, food quality is good.
The hotel has not been renovated for some time, our room looked really very old. The whole building is small and not modern even to the smallest details, like narrow corridors, old staircases etc. Service in the restaurant could be better. We had two dinners there - first one went without any problems, on the second night our order was forgotten and we had to wait for an hour and a half for our meals. At the same time personnel was very polite and admitted mistake.
We loved the interior design and the evening meal was excellent.
Double bed was too small for us.
Location and restaurant
Staff seemed to be on another planet, no room wifi
very nice breakfast and very friendly staff at service. each room is unique and very romantic. the hotel is on perfect location to be able to discover colmar by foot
staff at check in unprofessional. asking for a garage i was ask 3 times that it will cost 15 euro pro night. also no one helps with baggage to the room. the wifi is 95% not working and the password was given unfriendly over the phone on request. this days such an service should be given automatically at check in without asking especially if the person at reception can hear the customer doesnt speak french. little bit more extra at reception would increase the so nice inviting building to a pleasant stay!
The charm and old age of the building. It is a unique and terribly beautiful place to stay in a privileged area of Colmar.Overall I recommend it.
Being such an old building, things like bugs can be a problem. We encountered cockroaches and other insects during our stay. Also the beds were clean but the covers were not.
Car parking is directly across the road, so very convenient. The hotel building 'looks' like it is part of Colmar, rather than being just another concrete and glass hotel. location is perfect for wandering around the old town.
No lift in the hotel, so be ready to carry your luggage up stairs. No air conditioning.
Beautiful room & bath Excellent location. Food excellent.
Parking, got a ticket even tho we had bought a parking slip at 9am.
the location is good and the rooms is beautiful and comforable
the price/quality ratio of their "oooh, so good restaurant" is totally off... the cooking is nice but not more then that... while te prices are on a michellin star level
Charming room. Fantastic restaurant. Picturesque setting.
Very friendly staff - all of them. I took a dinner in the restaurant and had a very pleasant experience though I am not a French speaker. Very good location - everything is on your right side and the little venice is within walking distance.
Well located with proximity to old town, Petite Venice, shops & restaurants as well as railway station Well appointed with modern amenities in historical building View from room
Very small shower which was intruded on by a shower curtain which was too long & intruded on small space-a screen would have been much better Difficult to access old mini bar fridge which was not very cold-needs to be replaced and relocated in the room
Magnificent location/view. Charming old-fashioned ambience.
There was a horrible smell of smoke when the window was closed, even if I had asked for a non-smoking room. No elevator in a tricky building but the staff was nice and willing to carry the luggage.
Dirty air condition
The hotel is very well located, easy access by car and free parking was available less than 200m away. The breakfast area by the canal is lovely. You can enter the hotel at any time with your room key, no need to ring the staff.
Cleanliness could have been better. As usual, the minibar was well stocked, but ridiculously expensive. Breakfast is officially until 10, but they stopped refilling the food from 9 on.
We had a wonderful stay. Our room was comfortable clean and quite. The staff was very helpful in every aspect. The location could not be better. We would stay here again and highly recommend it to a friend.
The breakfast was a bit pricey 17 € each but not a problem with so many other places to pick up food near the hotel.
Just in the historical area of Colmar, a glorious building facing on the back side the "Little Venice" channel.
We have booked an apartment at the rate of € 309,00 per day for two people breakfast inclusive. We have supposed that our room was a propper suite, but it was not, it was simply a large room (we have seen our neighbour room and it was minuscule). Room was quite dark and tired with modest quality of bedding and sheets. Soundproofing was very bad and we could hear everyone walking in corridor as well as people out of our windows. Bathroom offered a jacuzzi, but not a shower. So it was very unconfortable. Toiletries were minimal with one 30 ml bottle per day to be shared by two people. We realized on first day that this hotel does not offer (despite that it's complusory) any turn down service. We asked at reception to get more soap, but our request was without any result. Room cleaning was terrible. they have left for three days dirty dishes and knifes and rest of the fruits offered upon our arrival. On second day the maid left our door open and it was evident and possible to everyone to enter in our room. Wifi was simply a disaster and never worked properly. We had to ask always assistance at the reception and after a few minutes Wifi worked for a while but very slowly and it was not possible to use for trading or streaming. The two TV had not BBC news and neither an Italian channel. There was not luggage service at check in as well at check out. We asked at desk information about some important activities in town (a concert and a night tour)and nearby (historical train and cruise on Rhein) and the only answer we got was to reach the tourist office. Breakfast was disappointing. For two days we were missing bacon. fruit juices were from bottles kept on ice. No cakes, no sweets, modest offer of bread. We had always to ask to get orange marmelade and yogourts. the general impression was for a very modest offer with significant accent of straits. Final surprise was our bill where have been charged four breakfasts instead of three.
Very beautiful hotel with a good location. The room is very comfortable.
