Friendly staff, great breakfast, excellent dinner, great location, atmospheric restaurant
parking difficult, given its location, rooms on small side but it's an old building
Location, cleanliness and wonderful staff.
Beds are not made for people 6ft and taller.
The location is wonderful
Beautiful old building in a charming setting. Staff were helpful.. As an historical site it is well worth the stay.
Linens while "authentic" a little frumpy. A few lights were out in bathroom, which when mentioned were not replaced. These are small things which in themselves are not of great importance. For its type of historical hotel it is lovely
to go home
Very friendly and helpful staff Great breakfast Perfect location
Delux room right over the courtyard - was noisy until midnight
Service and food excellent
Very poor internet connection and service--too sporadic.
The hotel was very pleasant. It was cosy and not too big. The room was good. The hotel was located very centrally in Colmar with the "Little Venice" and the old city center right next door.
The wi-fi was fine in the lobby, but not too good in the room.
Very well located downtown along the river, complete breakfast.
Room design could be improved (getting old). Nice old house but not fully soundproof
Nice location, close to the little Venice area. Nice restaurants & bars in the area. Parking right infront of the hotel. Staff was also very helpful & polite.
It was a lovely hotel with great staff great location can't comment on the dining as we never did there but breakfast was excellent
Very bad reception for WIFI quite important when traveling
Nice location, very central. Looks romantic from the outside.
Now it might have been that we arrived at the end of a busy season and staff was tired of all their guests, but we thought that this hotel does not live up to its pretences. Staff says 'bonjour', but do not see you. The hotel is a trifle dirty and should be vacuum-cleaned more often. Breakfast is really not worth the 17,50 euro you have to pay. The hotel is OK but maybe suffering under the constant influx of tourists all year round. One should feel welcome, certainly for that price..and one doesn't.
The location is good , can walk to train station and the colmar downtown. This is a very classic style hotel . All decoration is very classic ,
Maybe other travels are lucky to got the bigger space of double room . My two teenage and me and my husband all got pretty squeezed double when check out asked the staff she said although our room are verysmall but we had the little Venice river window view room . Actually we can't enjoy the view as the window is very small .
We decided to have a treat at this location and book a suite. Great location overlooking the canal in Little Venice in a very historic building.
Room not ready at 5pm when arrived, receptionist a little scruffy and did not show us around the hotel. Prepared to pay the price for building/location/room size but bathroom has 1980s décor and at this level needs updating to justify a 4 star rating
I thought that the pillows and quilt that are for decorative purpose smelt old and some stains on smaller cushions. The bedding was immaculate.
Great location.Quiet area.
A toilet that was the size of a very small cupboard. Good thing we were not a large size couple! Had to pay for parking. The duvet would have been lovely for a winter break but far too hot for this time of year. Reading lighting is poor
Location. Had top floor room which was very cute and had view of canal.
Carpet was filthy, even had what appeared to be dried up barf in one corner. Breakfast price outrageous, especially for what offered.
We liked the charm of the rooms and the location was excellent.
The hotel is located at the beginning of the historic part of the city, it takes 5-10 minutes to reach center, which is convenient. The hotel's chef is good, food quality is good.
The hotel has not been renovated for some time, our room looked really very old. The whole building is small and not modern even to the smallest details, like narrow corridors, old staircases etc. Service in the restaurant could be better. We had two dinners there - first one went without any problems, on the second night our order was forgotten and we had to wait for an hour and a half for our meals. At the same time personnel was very polite and admitted mistake.
We loved the interior design and the evening meal was excellent.
Double bed was too small for us.
Location and restaurant
Staff seemed to be on another planet, no room wifi
very nice breakfast and very friendly staff at service. each room is unique and very romantic. the hotel is on perfect location to be able to discover colmar by foot
staff at check in unprofessional. asking for a garage i was ask 3 times that it will cost 15 euro pro night. also no one helps with baggage to the room. the wifi is 95% not working and the password was given unfriendly over the phone on request. this days such an service should be given automatically at check in without asking especially if the person at reception can hear the customer doesnt speak french. little bit more extra at reception would increase the so nice inviting building to a pleasant stay!
The charm and old age of the building. It is a unique and terribly beautiful place to stay in a privileged area of Colmar.Overall I recommend it.
Being such an old building, things like bugs can be a problem. We encountered cockroaches and other insects during our stay. Also the beds were clean but the covers were not.
Car parking is directly across the road, so very convenient. The hotel building 'looks' like it is part of Colmar, rather than being just another concrete and glass hotel. location is perfect for wandering around the old town.
No lift in the hotel, so be ready to carry your luggage up stairs. No air conditioning.
