Room lovely, clean, kept well. Excellent warm indoor swimming pool (still needed in July). Nice grounds, gardens, very relaxing.Hosts, two brothers, welcoming though only one had good English. Nice breakfast. Good base (plenty of nice places to visit about 30Km away - Tours, Chinon, Loches - and others a little further away. Breakfast good and filling, but only natural yoghurts available, no fruit flavours, and limited meat and cheese choices. Very quiet atmosphere in breakfast room. Little interaction between hosts and guests (come to Ireland and learn how to treat guests!!!). We stayed on July 14th and till following weekend, so seemed expensive but probably due to the dates. Restaurant has excellent food, but limited choice and medium portions, and is very expensive (€10 for dessert!!) for what's on offer. Better value, with more food on the plate, elsewhere nearby. My wife felt uncomfortable with one waiter, thought was a bit sneering and dismissive but it possibly felt worse than it was due to language problems.

An old post hotel this property has been given a modern makeover that makes it a very pleasant place to stay, even if the location is fairly ordinary. Having requested an extra bed for a child we were given one of the larger rooms in the hotel (a junior suite according to the bill), which was very spacious and tastefully decorated, with a 4 poster bed and an excellent bathroom. An indoor spa pool was really good. The restaurant was informal yet stylish with comfortable rattan chairs The food in the restaurant was good rather than great and so seemed somewhat expensive; overall the stay although good and enjoyable did not feel sufficiently special to warrant the price being charged - a niggle being told the room charge only included breakfast for two, so there was a charge for a child's breakfast on top of the room supplement already added.

Assez proche de l'autoroute.Belle salle de bain. Belle tv lcd.
