The service was very friendly and attentive but not overpoweringly so. Our lack of French language skills was humoured and English spoken when needed! We thank everyone for their kindness. The restaurant was first class with a good value and wide ranging menu including a vegetarian option. Note: A "tea tray" in the room is not included in the booking and costs an extra 5 euros.

Always a warm welcome and friendly atmosphere. The restaurant is excellent and much better than a number of other Logis at which we have stayed in the same category over the last few years so why is it not upgraded to "Table d'excellence" ?

Excelent dining and attentive staff. Very convenient for cross channel travel but away from the busy town and port of Dunkerque (or Calais). Our room was a bit small but excelent for one night before travelling on.

The location of the hotel was good though we did not see much of the loca area due to driving up from the South of France. The locality to Calis is excellent just a 30 min drive. The evening meal we had for a 3 course started at 35 euros going up to a 5 course at 48 euros. The food was out of this world, and the extensive wine list had something for everyone. Our room was clean and very comfortable and the grounds the hotel sit in are manicured to perfection. This is not just a hotel this is somewhere very special. We will be coming back to this hotel for years to come. Thank you so much There were no negative points about this hotel

Having first visited three years ago it was a pleasure to see that the Hostellerie lived up to very pleasant memories. It is a comfortable, well run hotel with a warm welcome. Its most memorable feature is its restaurant which offers an excellent eating experience.

we had a lovely valentine break at the hotel . Bea and her staff were very welcoming and her husband's food was delectably deliciously desirable . The gourmet valentine menu was simply "fabuleux" . we will return !

I booked this hotel because I liked the picture - I failed to read reviews of the food and got an amazing surprise. We were there on a Monday evening when they serve a "simple" set menu at 25 euros. It was absolutely superb, two pre-starters including a cepe soup with chicken foam on top garnished with a slice of truffle (now you begin to get the picture), then I chose the foie gras terrine and zander for my main course. When we couldn't decide whether to have cheese or dessert Madame suggested we have a small portion of each. The cheeses were all local (and new to me). Unfortunately, we did not have any appetite in the morning to eat breakfast. The other fantastic thing about this hotel is the service. Madame could not do enough to make our stay enjoyable. Bravo! There is not much else to do in Bollezeele in the winter, although the hotel is close to the ports of Calais and Dunkerque and their hypermarket shopping. Saint Omer is a short drive and Arras and Lille slightly further. The standard hotel rooms are spotless but looking a little dated, unlike the bathroom which was clean, stylish and modern. Unfortunately, our radiator did not work and we had to ask for it to be fixed (which it was, promptly). You have to pay 5 euros for tea/coffee- making facilities in your room and the free wi-fi is only available in the main areas, not the bedrooms. However, these are minor niggles.

Food was excellent, especially the evening meal. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room was a bit tired and miserable in the grey afternoon light, but looked much better the next morning in the sunlight.

The hotel suited our requirements perfectly ... it was less than an hours' drive from Calais and only a short car journey to St Omer. The food was superb. The lounge area was limited

Easy to find with a Sat Nav. Location near Tunnel excellent. Very clean. Friendly efficient staff. Good food although pricey. Would prefer duvets rather than old wooly blankets. Toilet paper dispenser in bathroom made it feel like a public toilet - never come across this before in any hotel / b&B. Although kettle and cups provided you have to ask for tea and coffee which is then charged for - 3 Euros for 4 tea bags and milk is a little extortionate!! There were two parts to the dining room and on one side were all the Brits and in the other part were the French - I felt segregated although my daughter was not as bothered by this.

My son and I have stayed here once before this trip, and we rebooked due to the quality of the meal in the restaurant. This was very good. The staff were proficient, knowledgeable and discreet. The owner made a point of speaking to each table of diners, which was very pleasant. The hotel room we had was clean and quiet. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who likes good food and atmosphere. The prices are reasonable. I am sure we will visit again. Breakfast was not the same as the first time we visited. There were a number of english visitors, and most seemed surprised that the only hot item available was scrambled egg. On our previous visit there had been bacon as well.

A very French hotel - most staff spoke some English which helped a lot. We only stayed for one night but it was memorable for the dinner we chose. An excellent menu and the quality was excellent. A lovely stop and we will certainly recommend to friends. The only suggestion is that the tea/coffee making tray is in the standard room and not an extra at 5 euros.
