This 16th-century post office has been transformed into a charming hotel. Located along the Alsace wine-trail, Ville de Lyon features a heated indoor pool, a hot tub and 2 gourmet restaurants.

Surrounded by vineyards, the Best Western Hotel Le Schoenenbourg is across from the ramparts of the medieval village of Riquewihr. It features an outdoor pool, a fitness center and a sauna.
Score from 845 reviews Excellent
The Middle age feel of Alsace can be felt inside the rooms with a touch of comfort,
Breakfast is poor, Wifi is slow, Unfriendly Staffs.
quality of room
Charming hotel tucked in a walled village of wine producers, they accommodated us with grace and warmth even though there was a mixup on dates. Dinner was spectacular with delicious local specialties presented as if they had five stars
Lack of elevators was overcome by helpful staff assisting in bringing our bags up the stairs to our timbered rooms
Convenient location, but noisy. Begging right outside hotel. Limited parking. Staff aloof.
Location near Riquewihr Quiet and comfortable
WiFi did not work
Cosy, in period building. Staff helpful. Ideally located for Colmar, Riquewihr, Kaisersberg etc.
This Hotel had everything it advertised and more. The room was large clean, quiet. Good size bathroom. It ticked all the right boxes and was full of Charm and my stay represented great value for money. Sorry if these comments sound a bit over the top, but I know good value, comfort and service when I see it and 3 stars is two stars too less for this hotel.
We liked the historic town of Kientzheim, the hotel, and marvellous cuisine. An utmost culinary experience!
Wi-fi could be better.
Very clean and quiet in a charming village. Excellent food and staff
I loved the warm welcome from this small family-run hotel. The room was spacious and the bathroom very modern. The restaurant offers excellent food and features Alsatian specialities. We will definitely return.
we had dinner in the restaurant both nights of our stay....excellent ....better than our experience at the top rated restaurant in Riquair nearby.
breakfast could have been a bit more imiginative!
Lovely setting, comfortable, spacious room with lovely view. Helpful staff. Excellent dinner- good choice of menus, well priced and delicious food.
Cosy room on the top floor, beautiful views on the mountains, good heating possibilities, nice personnel, good matress, delicious breakfast, parking space in- and outside the hotel at no extra cost, beautiful environment, possibility to go for a walk/run in the vignards surrounding the village (2 walking routs)
No wifi connection in the rooms on the top floor, stairs until the 3rd floor (might be problem for older couples)
extremely friendly staff; very helpful ; I had to drive off very early in the morning and they were very accommodating. The hotel and the village are absolutely picturesque.
The location, the style of the hotel (very typical in Alsace), the hospitality, the breakfast, the cleanliness, the very good cuisine for the dinner...
Twin beds instead of double bed. The Wifi, far too slow.
chambre spacieuse resto remarquable accueil tres agreable
Room and food exellent. Friendly
A warm cozy room with more space than typically found. The adjoining restaurant was a basis for selecting this facility in a small village.
It is a very good place to explore the area of Colmar. The hotel has a very good traditional cuisine.
The breakfast is poor and not so good as the main restaurant. As it is not a cheap hotel they could offer more variaty.
Very nice location. Big spacious rooms. Very good and affordable food in the restaurant.
Really good breakfast (which if you choose to have, costs extra). Staff are helpful but do not speak English easily - more locals speak German as their second language. The hotel has car parking but gets full up by about 6pm. This is a very nice quaint and historic hotel and is in a wonderful village. The hotel's restaurant and other local restaurants are rather expensive and there's only one small shop in the village, except for Alsace wine 'caves' (local wine shops). The countryside is spectacular with vinyards on all the mountain slopes and foot hills. Nearby Kaysersberg is beautiful too and has quite a lot of shops and also a very good supermarket just outside the old town.
No kettle or tea & coffee making facilities in room but none of the French hotels or B&Bs seem to provide them.
