I have stayed at this hotel several times in the past and have always been 'satisfied'. On our arrival at Des 3 Mousquetaires having been checked in at reception and shown to our room we discovered very quickly that the heating system in the bedroom did not work. We made an approach to reception who fairly quickly produced a portabl electric heater and eventually fixed the problem with the room heating. The television program remote had flat batteries and would not work the T.V. I changed the dud batteries with those from my camera and the T.V. worked. I am surprised to note that with a significant number of the clients being British it is not possible to get bbc news programes or even sky news. After 3 weeks in Perpignan I would very much have expected to be able to see some news from the U.K. Overnight it became apparent that the wc was failing to work effectively and by the time we checked out it ceased to flush altogether. We have visited this hotel several times before and would add that this visit has been a disappointmnet to us. On previous visits we have had no problems such as those outlined above. Our previous experiences here have always been good.

Situated about 30mins south of Calais the hotel is an excellent stopping off point for journeys to/from the uk. Recently, the hotel has been taken over by a new family who provide excellent friendly service. Room was very comfortable as was the restautant where food (and wine) was very good. The hotel has it's own lovely grounds. We've visited here a few times now and will continue to do so on our trips to/from France. I would have prefered an enclosed shower rather than the shower/bath combination, but its a small point.

The management are very helpful and the food is excellent. Owner is the head chef with his wife as front of house. Very keen young couple who deserve to do well. The food is of Michelin Star quality, at reasonable prices. I would have no hesitation in returning. One male waiter less than helpful.

After a long drive from the Black Forest it was an ideal stopover before our return home through the Channel tunnel.

staff were wonderful and couldn't do enough for us only small points. We would have preferrred a shower, but I believe they are in the process of updating the rooms to include showers. There was no proper salon to sit and read, but there we4re plently of chairs outside so it didn't matter

Very handy for first night after journey using Eurotunnel. Welcoming staff, pleasant garden and good food. Dining room very attractive mix of traditional and modern. Bedrooms and bathrooms a bit "tired". Menu rather limited: a la carte repeating dishes on menu and no main course changes when hotel revisited after 3 weeks. No vegetarian options.

Although the hotel has changed hands the experience has not. I have been there several times over the last 30 years and it has always been great. The bedrooms will need upgrading in the next year or so as they are starting to look a little worn.

Very quiet retreat - gave you a feeling of relaxation and tranquillity. The owners were very friendly and obliging. The room (19) was large and had a lovely balcony overlooking the well-tended garden. Although we didn't need it on this visit, the room did not have air- conditioning and I would imagine that during the height of the summer months it may be needed. We were also charged more for our stay than the price indicated on your booking (350 euros instead of the agreed 300 euros- 3 nights for the price of 2). We did not take it up with the staff at the time as we did not notice the difference until later.

Stayed here some years ago, the location is good and it's quite peaceful. The building is a pleasing mix of traditional and modern. It's close enough to the town for an easy walk in. The gourmet restaurant is 'getting there' but isn't yet up to the early standard of the previous owners. It's not bad though. The housekeeping needs shaking up. Half used bottles of cleaning fluids left on top of the wardrobe, stains behind the toilet not attended to, bath panel not fitted properly, lightbulb out, etc. Little things that add up to spoil a stay.

The building is fantastic and the gardens and grounds immaculate. Our room was large, clean and comfortable. Husband had stayed with previous owners and everything was much better. We had only one tea bag and no cups in our room and when we asked for more we were given one more tea bag and only one cup. We waited 45 minutes before being served in the restaurant and then had to ask for water and bread. Our muse bouche was completely forgotten and when we complained about the bad service the lady owner was not interested. We said that we had stayed before and her response was "not with us you haven't". We will not be staying again.

The dining experience was excellent but very expensive. We found the breakfast a total rip-off - 15 Euros each for a coffee, a very small glass of orange juice, three tiny pastries and a small piece of not very fresh bread. Not good value for money.Having booked a twin room were shown to a room without a shower in the bathroom, and when we asked move to another room they said there was only one double bedded room available. However there were only three cars outside the hotel when the diners had left, so obviously they were not fully occupied. We were not offered the opportunity to upgrade to a better appointed room.

Delightful grounds and garden. The original part of the building is beautiful and from outside has been sympathetically extended. Local town nearby and within easy reach Saint Omer etc. Ample parking. Plenty of outside space to sit. Amazing food both dinner and breakfast. Sadly we were not greeted with a smile when we checked in nor when we checked out. Room 33 was on the first floor of the main building. We arrived on a really sunny afternoon and the room was very stuffy and hot. Perhaps someone should have opened the window to let in some air before we arrived. The room was very dark with brown hessian wallpaper all looking very tired. Awful bedside lights and useless should you want to read in bed. Very thin curtains. The bathroom although adequate was not to standard for the price. No shower cubicle in bathroom just tap attachment lying on bottom of bath. The staff were not at all friendly. Overall very poor value for money. The only reason to visit this hotel would be for the food. It is way under what one would expect for a hotel in this price range.

The quality of the food in the restaurant was exceptional, and yet not overly expensive. The room was very small, the decor tired, and there was no showere, other than a hand held one on the bath taps

Delightful grounds and garden. Beautiful building. Local town nearby and within easy reach Saint Omer etc. Ample parking Room 17 was on the ground floor and accessed through many corridors and stairs. Corridor was dark and contained storage for cots etc. Fire escape door nearby was locked and access to garden was inconvenient. No service in restaurant on Sunday ( which was advertised online) but no information as to nearby restaurants that were open. We had trouble finding one on Sunday evening. Only given enough coffee etc for one drink in room. Not a double bed as requested but 2 singles pushed together with double bed linen. No shower cubicle in bathroom just tap attachment. Overall very poor value for money. At price we paid for the 2 nights we were expecting a touch of luxury!
