Located in Tourgeville, Manoir des Lions de Tourgéville is a mansion with stone walls, just 7 km from both Deauville and Trouville.
Score from 263 reviews Wonderful
This prestigious 5-star hotel, where writer Marcel Proust once lived, is right on the seafront in Cabourg.
Score from 329 reviews Excellent
With a traditional façade, this hotel is in the center of the city of Deauville. Just few steps from the beach, the racetrack and the casino, it boasts an ideal location.
Score from 380 reviews Very good
Clean and comfortable.
Small selection of room service meals when the restaurant is not appropriate for small kids and no nearby restaurant choices.
Bed food quality of venue staff
Only complaint was maid came into bedroom while we were in bed
Excellent room, particularly as upgraded to suite. Good ambience.
Food very expensive, particularly breakfast. Limited choice for dining. Have to drive a few miles to find options.
The hotel is set in lovely grounds with a feeling of space and tranquillity. We had our golden retriever with us and he was made to feel most welcome by the staff. The food in the 1881 restaurant is excellent.
Envirronment, rest, liberty, rooms and facillities ,restaurant with excellent service and food, friendly personal.
That feeling of being looked after, due to the thoughtful but un-intrusive attention of the staff and the comfort & luxury of the place itself.
No jacuzzi! Outside stairs to room needed a good clean.
Quality of staff; restaurant and bar excellent; pool delightful;. Surroundings gorgeous.
For two eighty year olds the stairs in the triplex rooms were quite demanding. Families with young children could with advantage be co-located to minimise noise. Sign posting to the hotel is very poor. .
location manor room restaurant dinner
Breakfast expensive long walk from the manor rooms if it is raining and we didn't have a telephone that worked for the 3 days we were there despite repeated requests so no room service pick up from the room or a new hair dryer when the one in the room didn't work !
Lovely location, peaceful - lovely indoor pool, w outdoor access. Lovely breakfast.
Dinner not quite up to the claimed gourmet level. And drinks and food on the expensive side.
The ambience was perfect
Excellent grounds. Very high class restaurant Excellent staff, very obliging.
Very difficult to locate even with Sat Nav. Television caterered solely for the French, except the terrible BBC World News Rooms lacked air-conditioning and windows that opened. Had to leave sliding windows ajar. Some rooms long way from bar/meals. Double rooms accessed from private outside staircase. Elderly will not find this convenient, so ensure when booking you have a ground floor room. Difficult not to eat outside in the evening. It was a bit expensive, but standards reflected these prices.
Innovative, lovely rooms.
Gorgeous rooms and grounds Felt friendly and welcoming
Food and drinks very expensive but high quality so I suppose you get what you pay for!
The most amazing beds and bathroom!!!
Great hotel to stay. Everything was great.
The staff were helpful and friendly, the buildings were decorated beautifully (especially in main building). We stayed in one of the 'doughnuts', which had lots of room for two adults and two teenage children and a terrace which was small but felt very private. Deauville was a treat to visit, as was Honfleur. Pool and pool terrace were fantastic too.
Four pretty ordinary sandwiches and four drinks cost 105 Euros, which seemed very steep and might have explained the lack of guests in the public areas. It would have been good to have had milk in our room for a hot drink in the morning.
Great place to unwind. Friendly and helpful staff. Wonderful restaurant. In fact we didn't need to leave to grounds of the hotel all weekend! Highly recommended.
excellent location ,and excellent facillaties
no air con, mini bar extortionate and no hot drinks making facilaties
Just a short drive from Deauville this is a secluded but well positioned Hotel and Spa whose staff, food and amenities were all excellent. I am looking forward to our next stay
The complete experience of our stay was beyond expectations. We will certainly visit the hotel again.
Lovely big room and sitting room. Quiet setting.
Too expensive, but we were staying in the area for D-Day so this was about all we could find. If you wanted a spa holiday it would be fine, but we paid for lots of facilities we didn't use.
the hotel is just superb, set in beautiful grounds in the countryside, a tranquil spot for easy relaxing. the staff were very helpful and attentive. our manoir suite was amazing and the outside garden terrace made it just perfect.
Location and facilities were great. Staff were very friendly, attentive and helpful and everything was possible. A very special hotel.
There was nothing not to like. Perfection in the French countryside.
nice setting good rooms only 10 mins from Deauville. The staff all seemed to want to help - which included putting the WC football on the cinema screen at Midnight ! Sorry didn't eat there so cant comment
Not old or original but at least the plumbing was good ! No aircon that I could find in the bedroom .
Wonderful location, Beautiful Buildings. A great joy to stay. Staff very helpful.
