Ideally located across from the Université Sainte Marthe, just a 15-minute walk from the Palais des Papes and the historic center of Avignon, Apart'Hotel Sainte-Marthe offers self-catering apartments...

Score from 1154 reviews Very good
Wifi hopeless slightly tacky especially bathroom
Staff friendly clean and central location close to station.
A strong smell of kerosene on the 1st floor. Elevator non working early morning when you need to go down with your suitcases. No light in toilet, leaking water crane with the sound of constantly running water.
5 min walk from the train station. Easy access to the town center. Friendly staff.
The cleanness of the room should be better.
The location is perfect. In the old city, very close to the railway station and old city center. The staff is pleasant, kind and ready to help.
The owner of the hotel was at the reception desk when I arrived. He was extremmelly unpolite and rude. The room was dirty, with humidity... I do not recommend it. Even if the price is ok and the location is good, I saw several others around there that looked much better.
We were bitten by bedbugs. I have over one hundred bitemarks on my upper body. Rediculous and disgusting
The picture on the website makes you believe it is set in a garden. It is in fact accessed through an alleyway between two tall buildings. It is dark, shabby and unwelcoming. The reception desk is cramped into the corner by the stairs and is no more than 2ft long with the member of staff perched on a stool in the crampest of conditions. The lift is extremely noisy especially at nightime. The room was badly decorated, sparse and unattractive. The bathroom door had to be lifted manually to open or close it. The plug didn't fit the basin. One bed creaked on every movement. Altogether a thoroughly awful experience.
It's location in the centre of town was a bonus.
Street noise, for which the hotel can´t be blamed. Rooms a bit cramped
Friendly staff Perfect location
first floor room on main road, a bit smelly outside
Absolutely unsanitary. Bedbugs everywhere, dirty towels, dirty bathtub. We were supposed to stay for 2 nights but changed the hotel immediately. Disgusting.
Nothing was good
the condition and facilities of the room is quite simple. the water tank takes very long time to refill.
It's in the middle of the town, near everything you want to see, but also very close to the train station, bus station (which are driving you to other places of interest nearby). The building is quite old, so some would be not satisfied with the comfort and maybe cleanliness. For me, it was enough for the money spent. I must say i was travelling alone by train and by bus, so I cannot say anything about parking.
The bed bugs The constantly changing reception staff none of whom seemed up to the job
Flop house hell.
We were aware of the other travellers' opinion about this hotel but our budget was limited so we had to stay here. We found louses in the bed. The towels seemed not very clean as well. The room also smelled bad (and forget about the bathroom). The entire hotel as its rooms are absolutely dirty. No fan or a/c (and Avignon is pretty hot during the summer). A terrible noise during the night, both from the street below and from the other rooms. We warmly invite any other traveller to avoid this hotel, even considering its good position.
Only the position. 5' on foot from the railway station and close to the city centre.
Shower had mould and the shower head had no attachment. Sink was cracked. Toilet seat plastic and moved laterally. Blanket appeared to have congealed blood on it. No air conditioning.
Good location near station. Spacious room and comfortable bed. New TV.
It is an old building so a bit dated.
Spacious room for a solo traveller. WiFi worked well. Perfect location, close to train station and centre if city. Only had a bath, no shower, which I did not mind and it is clearly stated on room information.
Cleanliness is unimaginably horrible. I have found bugs, louses... running on the bed. I have been bitten terribly. I will never ever live that hotel!
poor ventilation in hot weather - open the windows - in come mosquitoes
Location and the staff
The room needs cleaning much more thoroughly. I didn't use the shower - it looked too grubby.
Its close to the station and has 24h reception.
Sound insulation of the rooms was not sufficient. I often hear baby crying in the night in the other rooms.
The staff was very kind， especially the elder gentelmen, who is very good in English.Communication was not a problem.
Single room was just side on the maine street of Avignyon and it was very very noisey. I always use for ear plags but could hear from outside untill midnight. Bath room was smelling and bit derty.
None of the rooms has air conditioner; noisy; terrible bathroom.
in front of the tourism office, walking distance to the pope palace.
There is no air conditioning and when you open window it's difficult to sleep because of the noise. It's ok if you're individual traveller and want to save money but it's not so good if you travell with a family
