Hôtel Le Kolibri

an ideal budget hotel: close to the autoroute, decent shower, quiet room - reasonable breakfast, and just on the edge of Tournus, with it's excellent restaurant Le Meulin. The staff were very helpful and in evidence when we had breakfast, keeping things clean and well organised. Wifi was good.

Ideal stop-over hotel.

Efficient, clean and quiet. At first we didn't understand the breakfast system which can be a little confusing when most guests breakfast at the same time, but if you get up a little earlier then it's no problem and you get the choice of the best seats and views. Have been there now 4 times and would certainly go next year. We recommend it to everyone.

Friendly very helpful staff. Excellent views and rooms. Totally different from some terrible budget hotels we stayed at, where the staff were indifferent and clearly were not interested in helping us. I will be recommending your hotel to my friends and I would certainly stay again.

A little bit out of town requiring a drive in rather than a walk.

This hotel is perfectly positioned for an overnight stop on the way to Italy. It is only 5 minutes away from the motorway junction. The hotel staff were very friendly and polite. The rooms are small but very clean with a comfortable bed. Breakfast is served buffet style and there is ample choice and good value for money.There is a lovely panoramic view across the countryside from the breakfast room. We will definitely stay again next time we drive to Italy.

The hotel does not have a restaurant for evening meals, but it is only a short walk to the centre of Tournes, where there are several restaurants.

We liked the friendly staff, the room was clean, comfortable, air-conditioned and everything worked properly. We didn't have breakfast so cannot comment. It was very quiet and the owner pointed out to us on our arrival that we could even see Mont Blanc from our room. Although we were next to the motorway and near the railway we didn't hear a thing. In terms of value for money this is a very good deal.

Because the hotel was so good in other ways it is a pity they don't do evening meals.

This is a no thrills, Spartan commuter oriented hotel. It's greatest attractions are it's proximity to the the north-south autoroute and Tournus. A reasonable breakfast was available.

The room had a musty odor with a miniature TV. There were no tea or coffee facilities and despite advertising Wifi, this was not available in our room.

On our trip to the south of france, we stayed there for one night.(and one night back home) The staff was very friendly, breakfast was delicious and the rooms were very nice and clean. However it was near to the highway it was very quiet there. I will sure recommend it to other people.

It is a pity that you cannot eat at night there.

The member of staff at breakfast was very helpful & cheerful. The beds were comfortable and th rooms were clean. Breakfast had a good choice.

My booking form said that we could check in from 2pm. When we arrived, shortly after 2 pm, the hotel was closed. We rang the bell and a very irate member of staff answered the door - told us we were too early and that the hotel was for the night, not the afternoon. He eventually did book us in. We had had a long journey fro the Languedoc area of France and wanted to stop driving. The price quoted in the hotel was 10 euros less than we paid through the website.

Great location just off motorway junction, mid way thru France, so ideal for overnight. When traveling to south of France from or to Calais. This area is wel over priced for hotels which are of poor quality so the kolibri excels as a clean, modern budget. Brand like ibis or premier inn in uk. It's well priced with clean and modern rooms and you get what you pay for plus free car parking. Very friendly owner, nice garden and terrace ideal for hot Sumer evenings. Drinks available including rose and leffe!

It's to far to walk to the town as its on a small estate next to an aldi, so you need to drive n to get a meal. There are a few places to eat, nothing great but ok for one night despite town has great location on river. Hot el drinks a bit pricey, breakfast fair at 8euro, for this area. Enjoy!

The Hotel is smart modern and very clean, the staff were very welcoming, and when asked for any assistance it was given freely and accurately. Well recommended.

Great location. A pleasant and inviting experience. The single person on staff was very helpful and made a genuine effort to communicate in English. The wireless access to the Internet was an added advantage.

The rooms were a little warm. Also, an elevator would have been very helpful specially for the seniors (age 78 & 80) in our group.
