Citotel Hotel Cheval Blanc  

The parking was good and secure on the court yard behind the locked gate. The man at the reception was very nice and helpful. The hotel was in easy reach of shops and restaurants and there was a supermarket just on the opposite side of the street. The room was really quiet as well.

The room was a bit small, but I didn't really expect very much because of the low price. Maybe a bit thicker blankets could be nice on the winter time, we slept with two on top of each other.

Reasonably priced. Central location in Cognac. Quiet.

Rather impersonal reception. Rather small bedroom and tiny bathroom in which it was almost impossible to open the shower door with the bathroom door closed. No sign of any staff at reception at breakfast time. Reception closed at lunchtime. Credit card debited twice for the same night. Secure, private carpark had room for only a few cars and was full when we arrived. Was able to park in street almost outside.

Location is great for centre of Cognac, good restaurants and bars in easy walking distance (couple of minutes), plenty of free parking just across the road. Great for taking the dog too - our room opened straight onto the courtyard. Staff very friendly.

The hotel was convenient for visiting Cognac housing 3 friends. We stayed in a 4-persons room to get more space, which was good. Clean rooms, fiendly staff, good location.

The shower and bathroom was separate, which is nice when more people are sharing the room, but the shower was small. Not really a problem. The backyard was not as cosy as it appeared on the images - combined backyard and parking for the hotel - but this is to be expected.

The quiet courtyard garden, off-street parking and central but quiet location. Excellent value for money

Near the centre of Cognac. Handy for restaurants etc.

If you stay in room 36 on the top floor, make sure you spot that you electronically close a blind on the velux window. Otherwise you get woken up at the crack of dawn!

The manageress on duty was extremely helpful even if she wasnt totally fluent in English and she assisted us even after she was off duty. Her choice of restaurant was excellent and really I cannot commend her enough. I wish they were all like her.

Staff very helpfull, booked a Cognac tour for us. Plenty of local street parking ( in June) as limited spaces in hotel.

The location was very central.

Friendly and helpful staff, and closeness to city centre.
