The location is great for touring the center of Bordeaux and being near good restaurants, cinema, shops, etc. The hotel was clean, the entry reasonably stylish, and the staff friendly and helpful. The decor could use updating and less bland colors. We stayed in the suite with the rooftop terrace - a wonderful idea but no one has used any imagination to make the terrace nice. A few potted plants and better outdoor lighting would be easy and improve the experience considerably.

Efficient staff. Central city location. Tea making facilities. Very poor breakfast - it is appalling that one is served with tinned fruit,, stale coffee and bread rolls. Croissants were just passable. The only thing the sole assistant in charge at breakfast was interested in was to ask for our room number !

The staff are very good and all spoke english. Hotel was warm and comfortable and very good location. The only thing is the Bordeaux taxis are a complete rip off. 25 euro to Gare St Jean and they were so late we missed our train. Do not use the taxis. Take the tram instead.

The hotel was located in a very nice part of town and within walking distance to the tourist center. Rooms were clean. The breakfast was not very good at all and we were never given a box lunch upon arrival. I never asked them for it because I was so focused on getting to the tourist office on time for our wine tour.

Loved the location !! Easy to find off transportation . The staff that checked me in was Great friendly !! Loved the wine that was placed in room! And sweets since we were there durning the Easter weekend.

Location was excellent for a one night stopover. Room had balcony and pleasant view. Staff were friendly and helpful. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Quality of breakfast was very poor. Bathroom facilities were clean but could be improved.

The staff on arrival were efficient and we were offered our choice of a drink. The room was clean and of a good size. The location was perfect for the major shops and restaraunts as well as close to the Quai The buffet breakfast had a good wide choice to cater for all tastes. The coffee in the breakfast room was undrinkable. Use the insant sachet instead. This has been mentioned in several reviews so I cannot understand why it has not been rectified !!

From the minute we checked in the staff at reception made us so welcome, speaking in English. Location is excellent, we would fully recommend this hotel, we had three nights stay there. From the Gare a tram right there.

I wasn't looking for anything plush or excessively fancy as I didn't need it. I wanted a decent hotel in a decent location and at a decent price. Hotel Continental fit the bill perfectly and I would definitely recommend it to someone looking for the same requirements as me. As and when required the Hotel staff were relaxed but very helpful when needed. Like I said, the whole experience fit the bill perfectly for me.

Very convenient location within Bordeaux' golden triangle. Friendly and helpful staff. Good value for money since (buffet) breakfast and lunch box are included in the room rates.The hotel's recently granted third star is well-deserved. Some rooms do not have a wardrobe.

Downtown area of bordeax is closed to cars and our room was on upper floor so very little noise. Good breakfast buffet. Perfect walking distance to all shopping and activities. Hotel staff spoke English and was very helpful. others complain about worn carpet and small rooms but this seems to be standard in this price range of hotels. No big deal.
