Hotel Continental  

We had an overnight stay on our return to uk. With the outside temperatures at -10, our room was in fact a little too hot and we had to open window as AC was centrally turned off. Saturday night was a bit noisy as the Hotel is right in the centre of Angers. However the room and the en suite bathroom, including both good shower and bath were excellent. Both staff, Amelie and Sophia were very helpful and polite. The breakfast was just right for us. Overall I would recommend this hotel. We will come back to further explore Angers and we will stay there again - but in warmer days!

As above, with windows open could be a bit noisy from Saturday night revellers.

I though the room was very clean, the beds were very comfortable, facilities not too bad at all and then breakfast next morning was very good not to mention that the service was also very good to boot!

I particularly liked the fact that although this was an economical choice, the hotel was cheerfully and tastefully decorated (not always the case) and the bathroom appeared to be recently installed. There was plenty of space and natural light in the room, it wasn't noisy despite its central position.

The location is excellent.

This is one of the cleanest small hotels in Angers and I the center of the town. The breakfast was first class. The rooms comfortable and spotlessy clean. The hotel personal were friendly, english speaking and helpful. They all had a attitude of cooperation with the guest. Nothing more than this little Hotel is needed in a beautiful vintage village.

Bring an internet cable, Wi-Fi is weak.

It was clean and newly refurbished. The staff ensured that we found the cheapest parking for the night. We were within walking distance of all the major sites and close to excellent restaurants. We took the advice of the receptionist and had a very good meal. The same receptionist was also very polite when, after the meal, we dragged her to our room as our key would not work - not surprising as I was using a key to another property! An adequate buffet breakfast. Overall, good value.

The hotel was clean and welcoming and good value.The parking at Le Republique was very reasonable for an overnight stay but a bit of an uphill walk with luggage. as we arrived when the market was on, we could not park nearer but presumably one could normally park nearer to unload luggage.

Hotel Continental has a great location in the heart of Angers and the hotel staff could't have been more welcoming and helpful. The rooms were comfortable, spotlessly clean and well appointed. Breakfast costs extra but it worth the money.
