Hôtel Cordelia Opéra-Madeleine  

Great location, lovely clean rooms and helpful staff. They also kept our cases all day as we were taking the overnight train to Barcelona

The location was excellent (near Opera, 15 minutes to Louvre), rooms are clean, small, but very cosy. In our room were tv with international channels (including russian channel), fridge, air condition, free wi-fi. Staff were very friendly and will help you with all your requests.

The breakfast was not so good, i think, that the prise for breakfast was a little high for the quality. But it is not the problem to eat somewhere else, because there are a lot's of cafes near the hotel.

Very nice hotel. I do reccomend it. We had a week-end at this hotel in January 2012. The location is good - in the central part of Paris, on a quiet street, about 15-20 minutes by foot from The Eiffel Tower, The Avenue des Champs-Élysées and other tourist attractions. Rooms are small but nice and very clean, the hall is very beautiful and cosy, there was a caffe' bar just on the opposite side of the street. The staff were excellent and helpfull and speaked English so we had no problems with communication. Other hotels on the same street had the same prices but were poorer and more ordinary, so it was the best choice! We had a discount at this hotel as we had booked it 3 months before coming. Usually it costs a bit more.

Without heating in the rooms

I liked the location. Near many of the sites of Paris and convenient to Patisseries and other restaurants.

I had booked a reservation for my husband and I for the first night and both of us and my daughter the second night. When we checked in for the second night, they told us we could not have 3 people in our room or any other room at the hotel. We had to be charged for two rooms the second night which was not in the plans and was not family friendly.

The hotel was central to the main shopping area - very clean with friendly staff

The only downside to the hotel was that tea facilities were not available in the room -

Nice location handy for shopping, visiting Paris sights and restaurants. We had a king room which was fairly large with a huge bed and a very nice bathroom with thick towels.

There were several people on duty at reception. Some were very pleasant some not very helpful or welcoming. Our safe was not working in the room: no apology . We were told that the parts had not arrived and they could not do anything about it. The actual decor is a bit old fashioned and beware...the finion of one of the curtain rails fell down on me!

Excellent location within easy walking distance of major shops and attractions. Surrounded by good restaurants. Pleasant comfortable and clean room

We chose to have breakfast out of the hotel as we felt that the price in the hotel was a bit expensive

The hotel is modest, but pleasant. The location easily makes up for any remarks - 5 min walking distance to Haussmann and Lafayette shopping malls as well as Madeleine and Opera Garnier.

The location was excellent and the facade and reception area of the hotel were nice.

Don't usually write reviews, but there were some major issues with this hotel which were unexpected after reading so many good reviews. Reception staff were impolite and unwelcoming (I know this is Paris, but even so!) - took good few mins for receptionist to even acknowledge my presence before being bluntly told to come back at 2pm and not before. After being told my room was ready at 2pm I found it was actually in the process of being cleaned and had to return to reception and wait another 20 mins. Asked for wifi code at check-in but found that I had not been given it. Later called down for code and given incorrect details 3 times before receptionist finally gave me correct log-in. Main issue, however, was that room was not clean. There were pubic hairs on bathroom floor, in toilet and even in the sink! The carpet looked like it hadn't been vacuumed in a while, there were stains on all surfaces and a big stain on the bed cover. The sockets and radiators looked in desperate need of modernisation. The shower head didn't work and only allowed a single jet of water. The temperature jumped from cold to scalding by itself too. The room (605) was tiny (by far the smallest hotel room I've ever come across for the price), but just about ok for one person.

Nice, newly renovated, quiet. The room is small, but still larger than many in the area.

Little to complain about. It would have been nice with English speaking and music tv channels, and with a couple of magazines in the breakfast room. Also, some doors did not close perfectly...

Very clean and comfortable room, the staff were very helpful and courteous,excellent central location. Overall we had a lovely stay in a very nice hotel.

The breakfast was a touch expensive if you chose to have it
