Hôtel De La Plage  

The bathroom and kitchen is very outdated. The bathroom is really horrible as it has no natural light. The living space is compact and dark and when the "couch" / second bed is opened up - ridiculously small. The apartment is fine if the weather is good and you're just sleeping there but as the weather was not that great, the apartment was less than ideal. The only place we could have breakfast was in the bedroom!

Pool was good - clean and warm proximity to beach was excellent Man on reception was friendly

Room was dirty - very dusty and bathroom shower had mould on. Beds and bedding were old and tatty. Bathroom needed upgrading. Theere was a constant smell of toilets from the drains.. Towels were not changed during our stay except on one day when I asked for this.

It was near to where our friends were staying.

The staff were the rudest most unhelpful people i've ever come across in all my years of travelling. They did not bother to induct us into our room - hence we knew nothing of the back door facilities after 8pm which was totally unlit, and nor anything about checking out. Our shower door was off its hinges and eventually came off. We had an empty soap dispenser and little loo roll. Breakfast we learnt had to be booked 1 day in advance after we tried to sit for breakfast. They could have told us this when we checked in. Any question we asked was met by rude grumbles that was actually laughable. And not confined to the one miserable man - but the weekend woman too. Ghastly. Will absolutely never recommend it. Quite the opposite. I shall enjoy telling anyone how hideous it was. And nowhere in their brochure do they mention thier location next to the fairground!

Lovely room on 1st floor -overlooking swimming pool.It was great to have a BATH.Close to beach.Well located close to restaurants-particularly "La Terrasse"where we had a terrific meal.

The approach to the Hotel is off-putting-entrance is uninviting and is adjacent to"hurdy gurdys".

The best thing about the hotel is that it is literally a 2 minute walk to the most spectacular beach. We had a lovely apartment (no 10) at the far end of the complex which comfortably housed the 3 of us. I loved the fact that we had a little private terrace with picnic table and chairs. It was quieter than the other apartments as it was right at the end and hence no one had to walk past it to get to their rooms. There was a pristine small swimming pool and the breakfast and reception area were very attractive.

It has a good location , swimming pool area good as is car parking.

It is located next to a skate board perkAt the front of the hotel there is a Fair ground with many rusting vehicles.The entrance to the hotel is not that good.While on the whole it is good it is a little bit tired i.e. it requires re decoration and a bit of tidying up.

Le calme, la proximité avec la plage, le prix.

Moins aimé, la grandeur de la chambre, un peu petite pour son ameublement.

L'accueil, la chambre, le lit, la douche bien chaude avec pression le petit déjeuner est très copieux.

La possibilité de vivre dans un appartement avec un enfant lorsque le temps est maussade; de ce fait une certaine liberté de fonctionnement

Personnel disponible et tres acceuillant. La proximité de la plage et la situation géographique. En retrait et tres au calme. Tres bien pour le prix

Hôtel tout proche de la plage, belle chambre, piscine (non chauffée en octobre).

Prix du petit déjeuner assez élevé - 10 euro/pers.

L'accueil de l'hotel a été plus que satisfaisant. Le personnel (un monsieur) était présent à tout moment pour nous conseiller/guider dans nos choix ou répondre à toutes nos questions. Petit déjeuner très bien. Chambre (studio 4 personnes) assez spacieuse et comfortable pour un hotel 2 étoiles, ce qui nous a agréablement étonné. Petite piscine sympathique, accès à la mer facile, bref, nous y retournerons volontier.

Seul petit point négatif du séjour: poubelle non vidée à notre arrivée, donc odeur légèrement déplaisante. Ce qui a été rectifié tout de suite par le personnel.

Nous ne connaissions pas cet établissement bien que connaissant déjà l'île de ré. L'Hôtel est très bien situé, magnifiquement entretenu et l'accueil assuré par Olivier tout simplement parfait. En effet, en plus du simple suivi traditionnel des clients, ce dernier vous sert de guide de l'ïle de ré. Il vous conseille les visites incontournables mais aussi les plus surprenantes de l'île et vous indique des petits restaurants typiques à ne surtout pas manqués. Gentillesse, professionnalisme et simplicité sont les trois qualificatifs à adopter pour le personnel de l'Hôtel de la Plage. En résumé, lors de notre prochain séjour en ré, nous savons déjà où nous loger !!! ...
