The room was reasonably priced. I am pregnant and we had a room on the 3rd floor. The elevator was very convenient! Breakfast price; could be offered as free |

All the reception staff spoke good English, gave me good directions on where and how to go around in Paris. Elevator does not go till the 6th floor, only till the 5th. Very minimal breakfast for 6.5 euros. Rooms are tiny but not bad. |

I liked the location of the hotel. Rue de Charonne was great, not that full of tourists and very animated. Also liked the window-doors facing the streets so you could get a feel of the city from the room. Nice, colorful rooms. The add said "sound proved rooms", and we found them not be. But that was entertaining too. |

Metro stations are near by. Very easy accessible by car from the motorway. A garage is 5 min walk from the hotel. |

The rooms (we switched after the first night) were clean with comfortable beds. We were able to switch to a quieter room without difficulty. Our first room, which overlooked a busy square, was very noisy. I'd advise asking for a room in the back. That room also had a stained wall, which was offputting. Rooms are very small & basic. |

I like the front desk staffs in the day time much more than the one at night !!! The day time ones are very nice and smile all the time, but the one at night was like we owned him something...never smiled once !!! And if we asked him for direction, he was impatient! |

Immediately across the street is a wonderful patisserie with delicious sweets, tarts, pastries and tarts. The owner seems a bit reserved, but is very proud of her baking and candies... as she should be. We looked down onto the patisserie from the 2 beautifully huge windows of our hotel room. These were the only positives for my experience at the Hotel des Arts. The street area was quite depressed with many homeless people and lots of garbage. It was a long metro ride to major sites of Paris. The bed room was not clean: stains on the carpets, walls and linens. The double bed had only one pillow and when we requested an additional pillow the desk clerk had to remove pillows from other rooms. The washroom door would not close - a gap of 3" allowed full view from the outside to the tiolet. The shower, although glassed-in and working was mildewed and smelly. To make matters worse.. at check-out I discovered that I had been charged 50% more than a European patron who had a larger room and same exposure. Beware of New York Times travel recommendations! |

good location, a few nice places for lunch in neighbourhood, quiet good breakfast very small elevator which may be a problem for turists with huge luggage; I spent in this hotel three nights and my room was cleaned just once - on the other hand was well prepared before my arrival; take ear plugs hotel is a bit noisy (street) and walls between rooms are thin!!! |

It was inexpensive and pretty clean. For people who want to stay for short business or sightseeing with budget, it is quite goosd deal. Close to Metro 9 which can bring you many places. The staff were freindly and spoke good English. I have no complain. The breakfast was, maybe, a bit expensive for the content. 6.5 Euro for milk, coffee, tea, orange juice, and two choice of bread w/ butter and fruit spread. But if you go to cafe in Paris, it will cost more, so it was convienient and time saving. |

Taking into consideration prices of the other hotels in Paris, this hotel offers bad&breakfast in reasonable price and its location could be considered as very convenient for tourists (5 minutes away from Metro Bastille). Rooms located on the left side from the staircase are extremely noisy - unfortunately I had an occasion to stay in one of these rooms for a couple of days. During sunny days, when the window needs to be open (no AC) I had a feeling like I was sleeping on the street. |

When I first go into the room, i am greeted by a swarm of flies flying around in the room and the drilling sound doing some roadwork, In the night, it was really noisy and my stay there is really not comfotable as it was warm and noisy the whole night. |
