The hotel is beautiful - so was our room: very spacious and comfortable. There's nothing interesting to see in that neighborhood, but it's close to a subway station, so everything gets easier. There wasn't hot water in the hotel one night, so my husband ended up taking a cold shower. The internet sign is so low in the 6th floor that it barely works. Worst of all: in the last day, at around 9 am, we were going to buy something in the supermarket before checking out, but the receptionist said that they wanted to clean the room and we had to check out now, even though the check out time wasn't before 12! I swore that we would come back in 5 minutes and leave at ten, but he didn't want to negotiate. If you're going to stay there, don't expect any courtesy from the staff!

The room was value for money in Paris..Good size ...good bathroom and excellent bed. The hotel was occupied by an Italian high school group that was totally unsupervised...They continually pounded on the wall and made noise despite being asked to quieten down..Eventually at 1.40 am I asked reception to do something ..And he just wasn`t interested...The Italian teachers were on the top floor..enjoying a rest...Unlike all the other guests that had to listen to the pathetic attempts of Italian teenagers to have a romantic experience with other underaged girls..The room next to mine was occupied by young girls...Boys were in the room...Unsupervised....I Should have called the police...Unfortunately this good value hotel cannot be recommended due to fears of a repeat experience.. Regards Mark Redmond

The neighborhood is delightful--especially in the evening when all the restaurants are open. The neighboring businesses are great and the best meal I ever ate in Europe was at a nearby restaurant (walk a couple of blocks west down Rue de Charrone--it's on the left at the corner of Rue de Trousseau and it's red with jesters painted on the front.) Maid service was very nice. Smell of cigarettes everywhere and at the desk they will only say they can't control what people do in their rooms so too bad. Althouh the maid service was very nice, the walls are filthy. Construction across the street makes it even noisier than a typical Paris street. The lift is tiny and funny but not so funny when it doesn't work which was frequent during my stay. The stairs are dangerous because there is no lighting. Phone did not work--they did not care.

Good location, free wifi which works well, good hot water, location. Complete lack of amenities like a water heater for coffee/tea. Those things cost almost nothing so even budget hotels should put them (though I know it rarely happens).

It was in a great location and very good value for money. Friendly staff. I guess the room could have been tad bigger, as could the lift, but all in all, for the price, good value. The bed cover looked as though it could be a little cleaner.

The hotel is quite near metro it takes about 5 minutes to reach it. Rooms are tiny but it is ok for Paris. Still the photos of the hotel are better than the reality. The rooms are shabby but clean.

Front desk were very friendly and were always willing to help with information and direction. Breakfast was good and inexpensive. Bathroom had no exhaust fan for ventilation and shower had mold growing on a lot of the tile grout especially near the shower pan. If the shower would be cleaned up would not have a problem recommending the hotel for the budget minded traveler.

The hotel is situated in a great neighborhood in Paris. 30 minutes walk from downtown and plenty of nice restaurants and cafés just right by the hotel. The room we had was clean and perfectly decent, not 100% soundproof but not noisy either. Hotel staff is nice. You can't turn off the heating system, and for some reason, it was too warm in our room.

I was surprised by spacious room,i am not used to it,because most of paris hotels I had been in,were very little, just to come in,sleep,an come out.I Had a liberty of movement in this single room,i appreciated most of all.And cleanliness. Perhaps very small lift, but its problem of all paris hotels, but functionning,it was important!

I liked very little about this place. I had no problem with my booking and no problem with using card to pay. Oh yeah, I loved the area. I did not like lots of things. For starters, as many people said before, pictures on the website are misleading. It is really bare, simple hotel. The worst part is the noise from the street. I read previous reviews and I said "ah, probably people liked to complain". Not true. The noise is very, very loud, even with closed windows, lots of people on motorbikes all night long and just really loud. Secondly, the room was really small, bare, and not that warm at all. Bathroom in my room was ok sized. I just feel like it's grossly overpriced and the only thing going for it is the area (walk towards Bastille and you will love it). All in all, I would not recommend this place to anyone.

The location, 500 m from Charonne metro , rooms very clean, good size, room to move with wardrobe for clothes, bathroom small but extremely functional plenty of water at good pressures. Restaurants all around you with plenty mire within walking distance. Staff good, happy to assist and answer any questions you have in English! I certainly would stay there again. Value for money!

The staffs are polite. And there are many restaurant around, one of them called "Paris Honoi" which offer vietnamese foods is really nice. The hotel really disappointed me when I first arrived. First of all, there are no clear sign to show the location of the hotel( maybe this is the problem of Paris, not the hotel, all maps on the street are unclear and confusing). When book the hotel here, i was attracted by the well & hip design of the room but I found it was not true, the pictures here is totally misleading!! It is only a old & cheap hotel!! The room is very small, and so do the toliet and the lift!! There is no amenity offered, even the face tissue!! You can only find tissue roll which is sticky and dirty!! No coffee or tea available in room. At first, I think the hotel charged really low, but after I stayed, I think the price is not worth!! I would rather pay a bit more for another hotel which offer much more!!! Finally the location of the hotel is not that near to Gare de Lyon, have to walk at least 25 mins to get there, provided that you know the way.
