Le Mathurin

Le Mathurin ligger helt fantastisk i forhold til alle de store og små seværdigheder og butiksgader. Hotellet er meget stille, og smukt og hyggeligt indrettet.

Værelset var lækkert, men småt. Det er svært at forestille sig en normalpris på 400 euro (2978 kr. i skrivende stund) pr. overnatning, for de få m2. Vi bookede dog til en dagspris på 183 euro, hvilket var mere rimeligt ; )

I booked Le Mathurin for my husband and I for our 10th wedding anniversary weekend. It was the perfect choice. A great location on a quiet street, it was stylish, quiet and very comfortable. The decor had been upgraded about a year ago and it had been done to a very high standard. Our room was very smart, the bed extremely comfortable and the windows were soundproofed. The staff were incredibly helpful and polite, both when we emailed them about making us a restaurant reservation and when we arrived. It was also a treat to have the whirlpool jacuzzi and hammam steam room to come back to after a day spent walking! We will definitely return to this lovely hotel and highly recommend it.

It would have been nice to have had tea and coffee making facilities in the room, but there is a lovely-looking cafe across the street.

Hotel was well furbished, modern but cosy! It is well located, the room was a good size and had a small balcony which we used. The room was quiet which was great, it was clean, breakfast was nice and staff friendly. Perfect!

We liked everything, the only disappointing thing was that despite telling the hotel in advance that we were on our honeymoon it was not mentioned at all during our stay and we did not get anything such as flowers or a half bottle of bubbly which was a shame as we splashed out on the hotel for a special occasion.

The hotel staff was very helpful and outgoing. They had Roses in our room as we were clebrating our wedding anniversary and even made dinner reservations at a great restaurant. The staff went above and beyoud but most five star hotels would have done.

Almost nothing, does not deserve 4 starts

There was a strange smell, we believe was by intention, to give a sense of something ancient. When a hotel describes it's superior room as spacious, one may really think that spacious means something more than 10 inches around the bed. The room was full with their books, leaving almost no place on the shelves for our stuff. The chamber maid was keep knocking on the door to clean the room albeit the "Do not disturb" sign and as top of the top, after they woke me up from afternoon nap by their knocking, the called me on the phone to see if I need service. Like the sign was not enough.

I had a wonderful stay at Le Mathurin. The hotel is clean, the staff courteous and the rooms comfortable. I would have no hesitation in staying there again.

Nice, clean four star hotel in the heart of Paris, just a couple of hundred yards from the Boulevard Haussmann shopping and La Madelaine, 15 minutes walk from the Champs-Elysées - great location. The staff was friendly and helpful, the Deluxe room was very nice with a separate lounge/sitting-room and a bedroom. Continental breakfast was included in the room price, and was very good by Parisian standards, the buffet breakfast (10€ surcharge) was not worth the extra cost.

The only snag during our visit was that I had, somewhat foolishly , booked a deluxe room, wanting the extra comfort. However, the deluxe rooms are located on the street side of the building, which is something a light sleeper should absolutely at all cost avoid in Paris - always ask for a room on the courtyard side, as the street noise start at 5 a.m., and is often unbearable. Moreover, funnily the beds were ok in width, but seriously midget-sized in length. I am 6ft (182cm) tall, and the bed just ok for me when I slept as far up in the bed as possible, but if you're taller than me, do reconsider booking at Le Mathurin. The room price, 204€ per night was ok, but not excellent, for Paris and the quality you're getting.

We stayed in the Mathurin suite. Beautiful. Warm welcome of staff, made us feel special and appreciated.

It's close to center area.

I've been deluxe double and classic double. Both are not different in size but atmosphere of wall paper, bed sheets, etc. Too small for two person for both rooms.
