The staff were helpful and friendly. The location is about 400m from the railway station and almost inside the old city. The owners were informative about sights and activities. The breakfast room is very bright and inviting. The breakfast was good: cereal, yoghurt, bread and jam, hot and cold drinks, but no eggs. The beds were comfortable and the room reverse-cycle air conditioned. Many of the rooms have micro-balconies over looking the rather dull surroundings. The bathroom was new and immaculately clean. The owners are clearly upgrading the hotel in stages. When I stayed there, the appearance was let down by the condition on the carpets, which are in a poor state. The furnishings are old fashioned and some what mis-matched. This gives an impression that the rooms are shabby and old. If floor coverings renewed and the furnishings modernized, this hotel will be a gem.

The owner/ manager is very friendly and helpful and speaks English. The room was quiet and quite spacious. The hotel was an easy one block walk from the train station and then to the city tourist sites such as the Roman amphitheatre and restaurants.

Very friendly staff. Good sized room with comfortable beds. The location was perfect, less than 10 minute walk from the station and just round the corner to the town and arena. Good breakfast. We enjoyed staying in Nimes, the arena is well worth the visit, lots of lovely shops to look in and everybody seems very pleasant.

Great location! Close to train station and the sights of Nimes. Owners were fantastic and let us into our room even though we arrived mid morning so we could store our bags. Breakfast was simple but good. Highly recommend!!

Excellent location, very pleasant host who agreed to cancel one room with an offer without allowed cancellations, comfortable beds. The lift was broken, and the narrow stairways were not too comfortable to climb with a suitcase. The breakfast could be better.

Location is fantastic, just 2 min walk from the Arena. There is ample parking on a parallel street, or underground in 100m. The rooms are spacious, beds are comfortable and the bathroom is very good. The staff (or owners?) are native English speakers and quite nice and helpful. All rooms give to the street, which, although looks quiet, can be quite noisy sometimes. The breakfast is definitely not worth the money.

It was ideally located, not far from the station in one direction and close to the centre and attractions in the other. We have stayed in four star hotels that do not match the quality of Des Tuileries.

The people who ran the hotel were very friendly, and helpful in providing directions and information. It was nice to be able to arrange for secure off-street parking, although the number of spaces is limited, and the last ones in need to leave their car keys with the desk, as their cars may be moved. The room was of a reasonable size for a triple. A little hard to get to, but that's a function of the narrow one-way streets in the old part of town.

The hotel was extremely well-situated in order to explore Nimes. It was a lovely, clean and bright hotel with excellent customer service. We felt at home and looked-after. We were given plenty of good advice for our visit and enjoyed really good breakfasts. We loved our room with the small balcony overlooking the street. We would return without hesitation on a return visit to Nimes.
