very clean. Easy to excess to metro station, tram, bus station. And very near to the shopping centre and tourist attraction. Overall, we love the environment. Thank you
Location near city and main train station where airport shuttle bus service is provided.
No kettle or hot water is provided.
- possible to have breakfast outside (in the sun in front of a cathedrale!) - very central location (close by train station and shopping street, short way to old town and sea) - friendly staff
- bathroom really small (hard to sit on toilet!) - standard french breakfast (1 croissant, 1 baguette, butter, 1 orange juice, 1 coffee/tea, 2 marmelades), not much for 8 euros - room often not prepared for breakfast, had to wait - air condition did not work - our room (with own bathroom) next to bathroom on the hallway, sometimes sounded like being in a swimming pool
some rooms don't have toliet.
Location to train station, food shopping monoprix, waterfront. Staff was friendly and helpful.
A bit of extra attention to cleaning walls, making sure plumbing works ie sinks and showers
The hotel is situated directly at the main shopping street and faces a beautiful cathedral. By walking the shopping street for about 20 minutes you'll reach the beach and the old town. Walking 10 minutes in the other direction brings you to the main train station. Hence, a perfect location. Our room was on the third floor, there is an elevator, but it is very small and old. The room was nice, spacious enough and the beds comfy for 3 nights. The Wlan works perfectly. For the small prices, the hotel is perfect for people, who are looking for a cheap accommodation and want to spend the money saved on the hotel for shopping and drinking. :D
The staff could be nicer and more committed and the rooms as well as the street can be noisy, so pack earplugs and some mosquito repellent.
Central location with a proximity to the train station, old city, shopping streets. Reasonable service.
Everything was OK.
This hotel isn't really stylish...But generally, It's OK.
Do not stay at this hotel!! I have no idea how this place is 2*. We had mould in our room, the beds were essentially just a collection of sharp springs poking into your back, WiFi was very poor, cleanliness was terrible. After chatting to other guests we all agreed that the receptionist/owners were the rudest and most unpleasent we had ever met.
The hotel was easy to find and in a good location for public transport, shopping and restaurants/bars. The staff were reasonably helpful and our booking was handled efficiently.
The fact that the air con was switched off each day so we had to ask for it to be put back on each evening when we returned. The shower was not very clean and the tiny ensuite bathroom smelt dreadful.
Air Conditioning Close to Train Station
Dirty Room Room not ready after 3pm arrival Poorly Maintained Dodgy Area No Tea/Coffee Making Facilities Lift out of order Noisy
We stayed 4 nights and the location was just great! It took about 10 minutes to the beach on foot and just a couple minutes to the grocery store - and all the other shops (as well as the shopping center Nicetoile) were located on the main street next to the hotel. Though the location was in the center, it was too noisy or didn't bother sleeping at all. We didn't try the breakfast since it was a bit expensive but bought our own breakfast from the grocery store that was located just a few blocks down the street. The room itself was quite small but really convenient and had a beautiful view to the cathedral. We also had our own balcony (which was a very nice surprise) and the staff was friendly and helpful. We'd definitely recommend this hotel: for a two star hotel everything was really good.
There was a bit dirt here and there ( especially under the beds..) The air condition didn't work so the room got quite hot sometimes but luckily there was the balcony door to keep open. The elevator was small but since our room was located in the second floor we used the staircase instead anyway.
Location is this hotel's only redeeming feature
Staff were extremely rude on our arrival, and unhelpful with suggestions for parking and bike storage. When we came to check in the hotel demanded immediate payment and refused my Amex card - despite a sign (in French, maybe they thought we couldn't understand) stating that Amex was accepted! The hotel itself is tired and grubby. The shower was covered in mildew, the doors didn't shut properly meaning lots of water on the floor, and the head wouldn't stay up. Air con was weak so despite being September it was still hot at night. There must be better than this in Nice!!
the staff and location
the 5th floor showers and toilets are not in the rooms
The hotel is well situated and not difficult to find (about a 5min walk from nice train station). The view from our bedroom window was overlooking the church in the centre of nice, and KFC and McDonald's are just down the road. Overall it was a fine place to stay for a young student couple for a few days. Very simple, but it had everything we needed, as we spent most of the days at the beach!
The hotel was quite hot at night, and there as only a small bedroom fan to turn on for heat control. The bed was comfortable, but the facilities in the hotel were not great. There was a shared toilet for four rooms on the same floor, with a sink in each room, and the shower was on the second floor (also shared). The lift was very small (could only fit two people standing up), a bit smelly, and banged when it stopped with a step up or down to each floor.
1. Located in centre and 15-20 min to the beach by walking. 2. Internet connection inside the rooms 3. pubblic parking almost available
1. cleaning the room, just once in 4 days! 2. no lobby 3. At first they gave us a very small room, with no table or closet, without any space, even for moving, which wasn't the same we payed for 3 persons, but then they charged us extra, for having a confortable room!!
the location is perfect & the staff is very helpful.
Close to Train Station
No airconditioner while being very hot. Shared toilet didn't work properly. Small lift where only 1 person with one suitcase can fit in.
Very helpful staff, location is perfect
Can be a bit noisy, but no worse than any other place
Shower leaked all over room All our things were moved from one room to another whilst we were out
Friendly staff. Good location near the railwaystation (5-10 minutes walk) and just by a central street with shops and restaurants. 15 minutes to old town and beaches. I loved the interior of the hotel with the paintings on the walls.
Size of the room was pretty small. The lift was very small. The optional breakfast was nice but not a great assortment and at a price of 8 €. Most days we went to a coffeshop across the street for breakfast.
near city city center
Location was good. We just needed a place to sleep for the night- if that's all your looking for then this place meets that need. It's marginally functional and it's best feature was the location (albeit our room was noisy with the bell ringing from the church next door, trains, construction).
The mattress was lumpy- felt like I was sleeping on the beach. Maintenance was abysmal- everything taped and jerry-rigged together. No door handle in the bathroom door- just a metal rod sticking out. Shower had a hole in the tile where the shower nozzle should have been- instead a hand held device was installed. Plumbing tools sitting on top of the radiator. Remote control missing the cover for the batteries- instead a sticky old piece of tape was in its place - gross. No handle for the door leading out onto the balcony. Dust balls galore under the bed.
Staff were very helpful and friendly, and the location was great once we found the hotel in the winding streets.
Our room was on the first floor with the laundry and it felt like it was among the storage area. Our bathroom had recently been renovated but the water from the shower ran out of the bathroom, through the bedroom into the hall. Because of this, the paint on the walls was damaged by the water. Unfortunately the homeless families gathered outside near the church and made a hell of a noise until all hours, so we had to keep the windows closed at night.
