The bedroom was clean and spacious. There was secure parking provided by the hotel although it was away from the hotel and complicated to access it with a special key. The proprietor recommended a very good restaurant.
The en-suite shower room was very small and the shower facilities were rather grubby and needed replacing. We felt a lack of welcome as we had not booked directly with the proprietor and she was rather distant. The breakfast was ok but not such good value for money as we had with other places.
Location Owner gave very good tips of where to go out for dinner
Wifi did not work well in our room, but we were here to enjoy the town and dinner.
Good breakfast, nicely presented, and good value. Pleasant reception area and interesting features on singer Emma Calvé who lived here.
Huge difficulty in parking on arrival. (After 1730 it eases). Very tiny room, with barely space to move. You are not allowed to take your key if you go out: keys are left within easy reach of any other guest.
The hotel has a nice and has a quiet garden. It has a good location although Millau itself is perfectly walkable.
Bathroom small and updated. The breakfast is quite simple. Whilst we were out, there was a storm and when we got back to the hotel it had rained inside of our bedroom and the luggage was soaked. Although the responsible took our clothes to dry, we were only offered to change room in case it rained again..
Within easy walking distance of the town and as we were travelling on a motorcycle, the secure parking was the main reason we chose this hotel. The breakfast was adequate. That is the end of anything positive to say about this dreadful place.
Upon arrival we were met by the most unpleasant receptionist I have ever met. I can only assume she was the owner or she would have been dismissed. We had to pay in full as soon as we walked through the door and before we were able to see our room. I now understand why!!. Whole room dirty and in poor and outdated state of decoration. Sink and cistern top had large badly repaired cracks. No sink plug just some disgusting limescale encrusted lattice cover and similarly limescale encrusted shower head. Toilet filthy with brown scale. Electric plug half out of the wall. Couldn't wait to leave!!!
The ? Manager or Receptionist was very helpful and did what she could to help/resolve problems.
Sink in bathroom cracked. Water seeping onto the bathroom floor-not from the sink caused by another problem. Bed collapsed the first night. The manager put it back together but it collapsed again the second night. Dangerous and meant we had a very disturbed night.
Charming ,older style hotel, rich in history and very convenient location to all amenities
Landlady could smile a little more
Nice hotel with a well used link to the history of the building with the former owner and her famous past. The opera music on in the background was a bit ott at breakfast though.
