Pleasant staff, helpful when questioned about difficulties. Good location.

Poor accommodation: not Premium standard unless an internal room at the back of the hotel with a view over the dining room roof is considered premium. INTERNAL TOILET WITH NO VENTILATION. Dangerous shower cubicle floor causing slipping which resulted in me braking my toe, which ruined the holiday. Overpriced food. Inadequate elevator. No English language TV.

Wonderfully helpful staff. Excellent superior light meals in the bar. Safe parking. Comfortable, warm rooms. Great baths/shower and lighting. Free wifi.

The lift was small for us and our luggage but not a big deal.

The entrance hall/reception, the lounge bar area, comfortable bed, good location, secure parking.

Paying for parking, breakfast not included, late order for coffee (2250) never materialised due to chaining up the outside furniture and clearing the bar of glasses!

Our room was spacious and the decor rather glamorous. We loved the magnifying mirror, which lesser hotels don't provide. We ate a nice dinner there, and had breakfast in pleasant rooms--the dinner was fairly priced and well prepared.

The hairdryer was ineffective-- and the breakfast was too expensive. The hotel is some minutes' walk from the old city and the Cathedral--a bit remote for us walking in the rain.

Everything about this hotel is really wonderful.the staff could not have been more helpful we were travelling with 2 dogs too! Had dinner in the Brasserie and then we were advised to go round the lights which was spectacular. 2nd best Western for us recently both top class.

City parking is across the street.

Great location. Good comfort - a proper 4 star grand hotel. Good food and service at a fair price in the Brasserie. Recommended.

Two of us were travelling in the group and both had rooms that were very warm due to very hot central heating pipes running along a corner of each room. My recently refurbished (very nice) room had a radiator in the bathroom that could not be turned off - so very warm there too.

It is oldie worldie but with all the modern appliances. It has a lovely bar with an extensive menu list. We didn't eat at the restaurant but it looked busy and the menu looked reasonable. The staff at reception were very friendly and willing to help. Good wi-fi service even in our room. Our room was very comfortable. Bathroom was tastefully done and the shower was very good (room 208). View wasn't up to much but we are out most of the time.

The lift is still oldie-worldie with the carpeted walls reminded me of my school trips to Paris and ski trips to French Alps many years ago. Not sure about their left luggage strategy. Pity they didn't have a secure room for the cases, which would make me feel happier but nothing got stolen.

The comfort of the room, we had a "deluxe" room and it was excellent. the staff were friendly and helpful and the whole ambience of the hotel was great. the Valet parking was really helpful, as parking around there can be quite tricky. you just pull up in the road outside the hotel and they park it for you (you should pre-book parking)

Location was superb for visiting the magnificent Chartres Cathedral. It's a 5-minute walk. Hotel was well maintained, comfortable with large room, bathroom and great light. Furnishings were tasteful. Linens and towels were top quality. Everything was spotless! Staff were friendly, helpful, efficient and lovely. The hotel restaurant was excellent--great menu, professional service, wonderful affordable wine list of Loire Valley wines, and good value. We would definitely return as our stay was memorable.

the staff were friendly and helpful at all times, the beds were incredible, plus the lovely sheets. Room was charming and clean and the spa was divine! Breakfast was great and the room service food was prompt and delicious.

This time the room was a bit small for a deluxe room. The meal in the George gourmet restaurant was disappointing.

We really enjoyed our stay - staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Had lunch at George's restaurant which was extravagant but a real treat and worth it. Hotel's in a great location to explore the centre of Chartres. It's very comfortable and we would definitely stay again!
