Hotel La Diligence  

The location was perfect everything was close by

Excellent service, walking distance of cafes/harbour restaurants and shops. Parking. Individual rooms were quirky.

The main reason why we choose this hotel was the location , internet access which I needed it for work and parking - they have an interior yard where you can park your car .

The pictures of the hotel can be misleading - the hotel is by no means a genuine "french" decorated hotel as I originally thought but rather a kitsch indian/asian/french mix with buda statues on a french veranda . The room didn't gave me a feeling of cleanliness and I honestly didn't want to dwell on it since we only stayed there for the evening - we left the next day in the morning.

Hotel looks nice/pretty from the outside with the wooden beams and flower pots. Liked our room location, easlily accessible straight up the stairs, without having to walk down long corridors to get there. Rooms were nice, (quirky) and although decor a little old fashioned, they were perfectly fine and clean, and not too small considering we went for the cheapest double room option.

They had a problem with the hot water in the morning, and although fixed after 5-10 minutes, it was warm but not hot.

The location was excellent and the staff were very friendly.

The parking is very limited but there is a municipal car park close by.

The location of the hotel was excellent, just a 5-10 minute walk away from the Port. The bathroom and toilet was new and extremely clean. Towels were changed every day. A bonus with La Diligence was the parking. Parking in Honfleur, particularly so near the Port, was difficult. The fact that we were able to park very near our room on Hotel property was a relief. Gates at the front of the Hotel were closed and locked each night, so cars were doubly secure. Breakfast was generous and was included in the price of our room.

Our room on the ground floor was rather dark and although the bathroom and toilet had been modernised, the dark wallpaper made the room gloomy and dated. The room was basic without much in the way of comforts.

The location of this hotel is great as it is a short walk from the Old Port where there are lots of restaurants and bars and Honfleur has so much atmosphere which we love. The hotel is very pretty with lots of geraniums on all the veranders which makes it so pretty. We had a lovely large room with a fridge end even a settee and we could get some limited english the tv so we could see the news! Literally over the road to the hotel is a Carrefore supermarket which was really handy We would certainly go back there again.

The hotel is room only but you can get breakfast - either contintal for 10 euros or full english for 17 euros...we chose to walk for 5 mins to the Old Port for a great continental breakfast for only 6.50 euros - the first morning we chose to have a second cup of coffee - we only did this once as can you believe a grande cup of coffee was 4.40 euros a cup!!! The only other thing that was not so good about the hotel was the parking - it was quite limited and at the end of the evening it would have been a case of last in first out!! So we chose to park over on the main harbour (about 10 mins walk) for 3 euros a day which we did not find a problem.

We had a very clean, pretty room with a really comfortable bed. The room was quiet so we slept well and most importantly for Honfleur the hotel has parking. It is a very short walk from the harbour and all the restaurants and cafes. We would certainly stay there again

Shabby, worn, down market!

It's quirky! Very unusual Indo-Chinese/Vietnamese themes and decor. We really liked it. Excellent convenient location - quieter than it looks as it is set back from the road. Our room was nice and spacious.

A bit expensive really - and this might deter us from going there again, even though it is the sort of hotel we would normally be attracted to. Parking very limited.

Climate. Access from the parking. Spacy room. Location. Helpfull staff.

A bit small parking: you should be a master in parking. Poor breakfast.
