A great located hotel for the many restaurants that Calais has to offer, Basic but clean. We had a good room overlooking the harbour. It is what it says a 2 star hotel - nothing more. We didn't have the continental breakfast as we thought that 9 euros was quite expensive when you are able to buy a full English in a stylish brasserie just a few doors along from the hotel for 8 euros. If you can sort out the very noisy toilet maceration system that would be a bonus.

Conveniently positioned in Calais for an overnight stay on our way to our house in the Deux-Sevres area of west France. Also very reasonably priced. Pity the restaurant attached to the hotel was not open on the night we were there - but it was Boxing Day so not too surprising!

The restaurant is superb with friendly, efficient service. The bed was not as comfortable as others we have stayed in at the same hotel. Breakfast a bit pricey for what you get.

The food The room was warm, comfortable and quiet. The toilet was a mascerator for wees only, with a proper flush toilet on the landing for other business, and the en suite was very tiny but everything was extremely clean, and the secure parking was in a locked garage

Location was very good, the restaurant was great, the room was warm with plenty of hot water. The londres room was very small, and the eco toilet was noisey and slow, the walls were very thin and the television on english channel did not work properly and the 16.h checkin time too late,

Colette was excellent greeter and manager; the Restaurant was extraordinarily good. The Sole Meuniere, perhaps for obvious reasons, was perfectly cooked and served. Excellent. Bathroom could use upgrade, and on a Friday night the street gets a bit noisy until late. Otherwise, ok, acceptable rooms.

It was in a very central position The en-suite was very bad - toilet was a macerator and very noisy! It was very small, and the shower was very dirty and the unit was broken. The carpet in bedroom was stained. Also, no mention of lift (either on website or reception) and 2 floors to carry suit case up wasn't good.

I liked having to wake up to a cockroach in the bedroom and having to try and kill it, later finding out that I didnt, so on the plus side I learnt how indistructable cockroaches really are. We had a wonderful surprise that the room actually looked nothing like pictures booking.com provided. We stayed in the london room, I think they were themed but it just looked like some dodgy bedsit. The cockroach, the fact that the shower is either really hot or ice cold, the picture you have on booking.com does not look like any of the pictures you have displayed on this website.

“Warm welcome and helpful guidance regarding where to dine. Well placed for walking to restaurants and for peace and quiet near a park.Clean room, newly re-furbished, with good en suite facilities (though some tiny finishing jobs to do). Pleasant breakfast room and good choice of food. Private parking was a distinct bonus and worth paying a little extra. Wi-fi was useful. Check-in and check-out were very efficient. The owner is a gem and is rightly proud of his hotel which he is slowly renovating himself.” Gabrielle, Aubiet |
