Hôtel La Solitude  

We enjoyed the meals.

We did not like the guests being allowed to play loud music in the bar until after 2.30 a.m. This is a hotel where there are possibly a number of seriously ill clients staying and we felt that a time limit of say 11.00p.m. or 11.30p.m. would have been more appropriate.

Located within easy walking distance to the Lourdes Grotto and many restaurants and shops.

City centre location and balcony

Location for visiting Lourdes Holy site excellent, although in a busy area it was quiet and good views of the river Gave and Mountains. Good area to pick up coach for day trips to Mountains and caves and other interesting places. Highly recommend this Hotel.

Proximity to Lourdes Grotto

Initial room in seperate building smelly & damp with broken furniture . Second room had broken wall lamp. No bath (but had shower), no tea making facilities. Swimming Pool about size of a postage stamp. Would not recommend

Good value for money and very convenient location. Staff friendly and helpful

Entrance to underground car park extremely tight and not suitable for large/long vehicles.

I liked its close oroximity to the Shrine of Lourdes and the Acuielle where I was helping

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was in a central location and at the side of the river, so close that the bar overlooked it and you could sit and have a meal and drink in the open air at the riverside. The rooms were clean but a little on the small side. There was some noise at night but with the windows closed and the air conditioning on, this was fine.

I thought it was excellent value for money and was in a brilliant location. Very clean and very comfortable - I would recommend to anyone.

Only the position.

Not real Hotel facilities. Described as swimming pool was slightly larger than a Jacuzzi. The breakfast is not like a hotel of this category (10 euros). Room very small.

The only good thing I can say about La Solitude is that Declan the Irish barman made an excellent Hot Toddy.

Attitude at Reception was very ordinary and there was nobody on duty when we left in the morning. We also had an intruder in our room at 1am in the morning which was most disturbing and also most unacceptable. It would also have been nice to have received a warning that the Tour de France was in town and that we could not drive to the Hotel. This was extremely inconvenient. Had we known we would have gone elsewhere and maybe visited Lourdes on another occasion. We will be writing with a formal complaint

Convenient for the family. The locaton was perfect and the staff are very helpful and courteous!
