Location is ok
Everything beside of location is terrible, don't stay this one !
The location, it is really next to Gare du Nord.
The bedbugs for a start. Came back with at least twenty bites. I just hope that none of them traveled back with me. The paper-thin walls. The room looks nothing like the one on the pictures. The breakfast is not very interesting if you are on a special diet (no gluten and no added sugar), no vegetables, no plain yoghurt.
The lady at the reception was helpful.
The room was a total disappointment! The pics in the homepage (booking.com) give a different picture. The rooms are very small and not clean! Not the best neighborhood.
Location for Gare Du Nord
The room looks like it is popular with certain high turnover clients. Carpets and bedspread very soiled. Unbelievably expensive for the room but it was the last option on Booking.com for the date and location.
Good location, comfortable beds, clean room, perfect bathroom.
Elevator is too small.
Wi-Fi was free and easy to access.
Room was dirty. Toilet dripped so water was turned off. Carpet frayed. No a/c, window faced a light shaft facing other apartments. Very noisy so had to keep window closed. Could hear talking and tv from other rooms. No clock. No radio. Grout between tiles falling out. It looked like the room had not been updated in 30 years and nothing like the charming photos on their website. Not worth half the cost they charge.
The staff's courtesy
the appalling value for money rate continuos noise during the night anytime a neighbour was opening water furniture of 1 star hotel
The staff was friendly The bathroom clean The bed Ok A lot of Café and restaurants around
The neighbor around Gare du Nord has deteriorated and I'll not advise a solo traveler female to wander at night. Too bad as the metro is so close to the hotel.
The hotel is conveniently located near Gare le Nord. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and quiet. The manager was very nice and helpful. He also spoke English.
nothing at all
rude staff, rooms are like they have not been renovated since the 80's, bathroom is so small that u can't use it properly, no air conditioning, no fans. terrible is the word.
Wifi was good Location to Gare du Nord is good
Noisiest hotel room. I felt like I was sleeping on the street corner. Walls are paper thin so not only do you have excessive traffic noise you also hear your neighbors No air conditioning I felt deceived by the published photos on booking. Com
Part of the staff was pleasant, and the hotel was in a very accessible place. At the end of the stay we were discounted 20 euros due to a lot of incidents that we have gone through in the hotel (see negative review).
After staying three nights we found this hotel rather ugly and overpriced. At first we were given a room facing the street, and closing the window barely muffled the noise from the street. We complained about this, but we were not changed of room until the third night, and partly because of that in the second morning we found bed bugs in the room. The third night in the new room was not really relaxing, since we were waking up every now and then to check under the blankets for more bed bugs, which we eventually found. In the morning we complained again and the lady in the check-in desk rudely suggested that we had brought the bed bugs with us, but changed her attitude when we told her that that same morning there were at least three cockroaches in the room.
Fariza, the receptionist was very nice and helpful. Most of the staff were friendly and accomodating. The room and the bathroom were very clean. We felt safe and the beds were neatly made up. Very close to Gare du Nord. In fact the staircase to the train station was just a few steps round the corner.
We could hear traffic noise and people talking and shouting as our room on the fourth floor overlooks the streets. The wooden floor board creaks. The furniture and fittings are old. The lift has room for only two or three smaller built people. But I guess this is expected of a building built in 1845. At 213€ including 3€ tax but without breakfast, it is very expensive for a small room in a very old 2-star hotel.
Noisy in rooms from street, because no conditioning
Very friendly staff. Location perfect for Gare du Nord.
Wifi useless. Hardly any water coming from taps. Had a bathtub, but it would take over 2hrs to fill it up.
Very noisy and the room was not very clean. My bedspread had cigarette burns on it and it's a non smoking hotel. 190 euros a night for one of the worst hotels I have stayed in.
A very handy hotel near Gard Nord for overnight stay, or when first arriving in Paris. Nice little bar in hotel.
Rooms are small
Elevator is toom small, this is normal in Paris even in big hotels..
More secured entrance would be nice considering the hotel is strategically located literally touching Gare'-du- Nord metro station. Lots of hustle bustle and eateries around. Hence, even though hotel clean, a gaurded, secured or coded main entrance lobby door would have been nicer. Good value for money considering Paris costs, ease of travel and communication. Carrefour mall opposite really handy!!
Unsecured main entrance lobby. No CCTV at the reception.
Price was expensive for the quality of rooms which were dated, tired looking yet clean
Cleanliness, proximity to station
Tired and old fashioned decor, size of bathroom
Location is ideal and walking distance to major metro station First day front desk clerk was good and cordial.
Room was on 6th floor which did not have a lift had to carry my luggage. It is in a corner and not very accessible with big luggage. Poor room facilities, only 1 power point in the room, room heater not working even after complaining still no action taken. Second day front desk clerk was very rude when asked about heater repair.
Close to Gare du Nord and good value. Comparing with some other options from the area this hotel is ok. Don't expect luxory, it's pretty basic but fine.
near the railway stations
Staff were really helpful as we were stuck overnight in Paris because of a Eurostar missed departure.
Gare du Nord is dodgy and intimidating. Not what you would expect from a leading capital city of the world.Hotel surroundings are noisy.
