Size of room was great. Very clean. Good location, only 20 minutes on foot from stat ion (trams not working on day we arrived! ). Handy to beach and old part of Nice with all the restaraunts. Very enjoyable stay. A little noisy from other rooms, especially next floor up, but ear plugs are essential travel aids these days aren't they !

There are several hotels in this area which is central to everything Nice has to offer. 4 euro day travel ticket will get you unlimited journeys on tram (stop 50 yards from front door) & buses (stop 20 yards). Lafayette room rates were competitive at the time of booking. Charging 10 euros for breakfast. Typically local Cafe Bars like Le Gioffredo in the next street (with the same name) provides menus (with choices like omlette & bacon) starting at 7.50 euros, or 4.50 for traditional french juice/croissant/hot drink.

Very friendly and helpful reception staff and the rooms are big. Location is excellent. Do not stay in one of the street-facing rooms on a Saturday night as there is a night-club that closes late at night and the revellers leaving are very noisy.

The hotel is quite well located and basically ok for a break of a few days. It has quite a high rating on the Booking Web Site, (at about 8.), however, in my opinion this is not justified. I would be prepared to stay there again, but would also try other options first if they were available.

Very clean, comfortable, and affordable. The staff is very accomodating with a superb command of English. The location is very convenient. The continental breakfast is great. I am very satisfied with my room and with the Hotel Lafayette and had no problem deciding to extend my stay at this hotel.

Hotel in a very good location. Close to Place Massena, the tramline, shopping and easy walking distance to the Old Town and the train station. Staff very pleasant, polite and helpful. Spoke good English. We needed to stay an extra night and we were accommodated without even having to move rooms! Hotel very comfortable and clean.

This hotel is in a great location - close to beaches, shopping , restaurants plus bus and rail. The hotel staff could not have been more pleasant or helpful. Room was a good size, with coffee/tea facilities. We were on the first floor and found it a bit noisy, but shutting the balcony door solved that.
