location of hotel;
access to room: narrow staircase to 2nd floor; elevator only half way and very small; noisy square in front of hotel (with fighting at 4am)
Location. Room spacious ( deluxe double). Room design separate closet, separate sitting area and sleeping area. King sized bed very comfy. Decoration with all the Rimbeau photo on the wall . The room name ours was Guy de Maupassant.
Breakfast limited and expensive Food odor from the restaurant but with the door separation did not reach where we sleep Toileteries were not many and replenished every day
Street noise if windows were open. We were on the first floor
Location Restaurant Staff Size (small)
Bed, 2 singles pushed together large but would prefer a King.
Location, friendly and helpful staff, food and facilities.
Hotel facilities and furnishings; presentation and cleanliness; reservations priority to Le Comptior du Relais bistrot (*****); staff; location
The hotel location was perfect and the room size was generous and it was very quiet. The house keeping staff was excellent and efficient. One of the managers was very helpful and friendly, another was not. I would stay there again if I was traveling alone.
The bathroom was uncomfortably small and we were only allowed one bath towel per person per day which meant we often dried off with damp towels. Requests for more were denied. Upon departure we were told that a complementary breakfast would have been included if we had not booked through Booking.com. Breakfast in the hotel was expensive. A complementary morning coffee would have been welcome. Also, even with the tiny elevator, it is necessary to walk two flights of narrow stairs to get to the deluxe rooms.
The staff was warm and eager to help out in any way. Perfect location in St. Germain with several lively cafes and restaurants with good food right out the door. The room was so comfortable and tastefully decorated with a large elegant bathroom.
Breakfast is not included and it is expensive for what you get but that is true at most Paris hotels.
-decor -comfy bed -helpful staff -excellent restaurant -great view
location helpful staff pleasant room w/ windowboxes excellent wifi nice little salon w/ newspapers
shower sprayed into bathroom room on small side (typical European)
Totally charming st germain location Fabulous restaurant
The staff were excellent - super friendly and helpful. You could not get a better location. The breakfast in the room was amazing. I've never written a hotel review before but I felt compelled too. Hotel Le Relais - C'est magnifique!
Marie in reception was fabulous. She helped us with all our bookings and recommended a great restaurant, Violon D'Inges. Also, she was a great help with our problems with Velib hiring. The breakfasts were great and they fitted us into the restaurant whenever we needed ...even when there was a huge queue out the front. They also arranged gluten free baguettes and madelaines each morning for breakfast for my coeliac daughter. Very kind!
Rooms are small...but it is Paris, after all.It was summer and our room was quite warm. We had to sleep with the window open so it was quite noisy until 1 or 2 am. But I was willing to put up with that to be in a great central location. Nothing to do with the hotel but a warning about hiring Velib bikes..we had trouble unlocking one bike so had to leave it and walk home. By the time we got home (Tour De France final day) the Velib office was not answering the phone. The next day Velib said I would have to pay the full 215Euros. Still not sorted,as yet.
access to room
This hotel is in a great position The junior suite was very spacious, clean, staff very polite and helpful,& a good breakfast The restaurant attached - Comptoir-was excellent had a line outside every day and as guests we had priority
I thought the breakfast , even though good was slightly overpriced
Very noisy in the hotel
Loved the location and the hotel
Beautiful, spacious room, the ambience of the hotel, its cafe with delicious breakfast, helpful and friendly staff.
Only that I couldn't stay longer.
Really excellent location. Very fun hotel with a quirky but awesome architectural renovation. Really enjoyed staying here. It seemed like it was more expensive than other hotels but at the end of the day it isn't given how expensive Paris can be. I would say this is a slightly above average cost for amazing value for money. You really can't go past the location or the style of the apartment (its more a small studio suite than a hotel room). Location is 8-10 mins walk from Notre Dam/Pont Nuef, 15-20 mins walk from Louvre and about 40-50 mins leisurely walk from the Eiffel. 2 Mins walk from the Saint Germain boulevard shopping strip. Staff are very helpful (and happy - makes a huge difference). Will definitely come back here again next time we visit.
Staff was extremely helpful and attentive.
some of rooms facing street a bit noisy
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Also, it was a great location and very vibrant
It was a little noisy, but you would expect that due to its central location.
We like the whole atmosphere of the hotel.. Best breakfast ever!!!
I think its expensive, but doesn't stop us from coming.
The staff, location and facilities were excellent. The rooms are beautiful and spacious, the staff was helpful and very friendly.
The bathtub was not clean and the shower gels were not replaced during four days of my stay.
Standard not 4-star hotel
So much character. I loved that when we walked in late and grumpy from all our travelling reception said here are your keys go straight upstairs everything is taken care of. Great interconnecting rooms
The elevator, you have to see it to understand why!
