Super hotel with friendly attentive staff. Food was excellent both dinner and breakfast, which had a great range of food. The room was comfortable and had doors out to the garden with its own little patio with comfortable chairs. A hairdryer would have been good as would the minibar, which were not provided in the standard room although considering the price I think they should have been. Also being British tea and coffee making facilities! (But then they never are in French hotels!)

It was a lovely location with a good restaurant (which was busy) on the terrace overlooking the river. Small but friendly. Lots of businessmen using it Wine was rather expensive, no cheap house red.

Comfortable rooms with very pleasant outlook. Excellent restaurant facilities and first class cooking, Good location as a starting point for Locaboats Holidays, as its depot is practically next door. Diappointed that on arrival at 9.30 pm, after a very long day travelling, we were unable to have any sort of snack or meal because the restaurant was "fully booked". Rather a cool reception.

Proximity to river. Attractive looking hotel with good views of town and grounds. Warm welcome. Spacious room with small balcony. Excellent dining room, although very expensive. Nowhere to put our clothes except for some hanging space. More coathangars were readily provided which helped a bit. Hotel staff inflexible regarding supper for our friends who arrived late by train. Hotel some distance from any other restaurant/cafe/bar. Hotel staff said 'there was nowhere else to eat' except their upmarket dining room (which was not available at 9.40pm). There were several other places, and one was found by our friends' taxi driver at 9.45pm.

Excellent restaurant. Good wines. Terrace with river view. Spacious room. Good bed. Quiet. Good room to work during business trip. Nicely located in the Bourgundy area. The old town is mideval with amazingly old buildings, but it seems it's on it's way down. Nothing else to do in Joigny but to look at old buildings. Such a pitty. Fortunately the hotel offers such a good restaurant.

The situation was amazing on the banks of the river with lovely views from everywhere, walks around the grounds of the hotel were absolutely beautiful including a lovely lake with swans and ducks. Reception staff were helpful and friendly. The room was lovely, spacious, beautiful view across the river, and a large bathroom. Dinner was slightly disappointing for the price, a main course of fish (cod) was very uninteresting. Although breakfast was good, the staff at breakfast time were cold and unfriendly. The hotel could benefit from ramps by the steps, there must be many instances when it is not be easy for elderly or handicapped people to carry suitcases up the many steps into the main entrance of the hotel.

La situation géographique était parfaite puisque à 2 pas de Joigny et de la campagne bourguignonne environnante...mais l'hôtel n'y est pour rien! Personnel pas à la hauteur! Arrivée après 15h et 2 surprises de taille : - nous avons eu nos clés et désagréable surprise en ouvrant la chambre : elle n'était pas encore faite. Avons donc été obligés de quitter la chambre immédiatement après notre arrivée pour qu'elle puisse être faite - nous avons reçu l'information que le restaurant ne fonctionnait pas le soir : or, nous avions choisi l'hôtel pour son restaurant! aucune indication de restos ouverts n'a pu nous être délivrée par le personnel -déco bas de gamme et digne du 1er hôtel IBIS venu!

L'hôtel est très calme, le petit déjeuner impeccable et le dîner dans le restaurant de l'hôtel très créatif. Nous avions réservé une chambre supérieure pour éviter de nous retrouver dans une chambre aux dimensions trop réduites. Nous avons moins apprécié les prix très élevés pratiqués par le restaurant et l'odeur désagréable dégagée par le système de conditionnement d'air.

Tout était parfait. Grande chambre spacieuse, propre et rès calme. Le restaurant était excellent (homard en salade, désserts fins etc...) On voit que c'est la soeur de son frère (Relais Chateaux de la Côte Saint-Jacques !) Petit déjeuner très complet. Aucune critique de ma part (assez rare chez moi...)
