A well appointed hotel that is convenient to everything in Honfleur. The owner/host is accomodating, helpful and friendly and made our stay pleasent. They provide a full range of facilities for the guests. The rooms are most comfortable and are a good value for the services offered. You will not be disappointed in your stay here.

This is a small charming hotel overdecorated with period furniture, art objects and other decorative artifacts, that take you back to Taïland and a world of exotism. The reception is personal and extremely welcoming, beyond any expectations; guest are made to feel at home in an environment that takes them back a few centuries. We stayed in the green room " la chambre verte" where François Truffaut's film of the same name was filmed; it is said to be the nicest room. We were enchanted.

The main building is impressive as are the gardens and the pool, it is also very convenient being a few minutes walk to the harbour. We stayed in Room 33 which is in the annexe overlooking the pool. On our arrival (autumn) there were leaves on the stair carpet and outside our room. They were still there three days later. The cleaning of our room was at best 'adequate', it was apparent that no vacuum cleaner was ever used. We had the buffet breakfast on our last day. One man was there to meet guests, explain the proceedure, clear and lay tables, prepare and bring in food, do everything in fact. Needless to say no proceedure was done effectively and a sparce, overpriced breakfast was the result. It appeared that staffing was minimal and that consideration for guests was likewise. There are several annexes to the main building, before booking one should determine where your room is. The main building probably being the best of a poor bunch. We could not recommend this hotel.

The hotel was up a narrow little street just outside hte main port area and as we drove there I feared we were going to a "dump". Instead it was a beautiful place oozing charm. There was nothing ordinary about it. I would recommend it to a friend.

It is amospheric, and offers an attractive view of past days, in both the building and its contents. Has the slight feel of a museum, and a homage to past times, but not with any loss of comfort. The upper double bedroom in the outbuilding was clean, the bathroom excellent, but the bed area was quite cramped owing to low beams everywhere. The bed was of a smaller size, probably as a larger bed would not fit in easily. WiFi signal was excellent, and the internet worked to a good speed. All in all, a pleasant stay. Breakfast is served well and food is good, but the overall impression was a little underwhelming in presentation. Needs a little "love" to fettle it up to the standard offered in price and location. Too many items available at cheaper hotels were offered as extras.

The main house was delightful and the swimming pool looked inviting although it was too cold to use. We were put in an annexe so did not enjoy the lovely old building. There was no bar or restaurant except for breakfast which was good but overpriced.

This hotel was extremely unusual, but typically French in terms of its decor, elegance and old world charm. Our room was extremely spacious with a mini bar and flat-screen TV and unlike so many of the hotels we have stayed in, the bathroom was modern and spotlessly clean. The hotel has on-site (free) car-parking, wonderful gardens, a reasonably sized swimming pool and a sauna.I would cetainly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a relaxing break and hope to return to Honfleur in the future. The hotel provides a continental breakfast which is not included in the room rate. At around Euro 15 per head, this adds significant cost to a weekend break. Better options and prices were available at any of the numerous restaurants surrounding the picturesque harbour. The weekend room rate of Euro145 was a little steep.

The very central location of the hotel with its own secure private parking in the drive of this delightful old manor. It is reasonably priced and very well placed for exploring Honfleur on foot direct from the hotel.

The welcome from the owner was very warm. The location couldn't be better, only a few minutes from the old harbour so you could leave the car behind and wander through the streets. The room was spacious and individual. The gardens were lovely so you could sit outside in peaceful surroundings. The bathroom had a large bath, but only a hand held shower which was a bit of a shame.

The staff were very friendly & welcoming, the gardens and general facilities were excellent. There was good secure parking and the hotel is a just a few minutes from Honfleur centre. The hotel is decorated in a very charming manner and our room had everything we needed.

A lovely hotel with good facilities located close to the town centre. Would definitely book same hotel if staying in Honfleur. Buffet Breakfast at 15 euro per person was expensive for what it was.

We booked it for 1 night, liked the look of it and asked to stay for two nights, then on the second night asked if we could stay for a further 2 nights and stayed four nights in all. A good base to visit Nonflkeur, car parking was safe at hotel, did not take us long to get to Bayeuaux for the Tapistry or the D Day beaches and Pegasus Bruidge. Also visited various cheese making locations The breakfast was not as good as we would have liked.

We stayed for 3 nights at the Hotel L'Ecrin on August. The hotel has its own car park, a very big plus. Also an adequate swimming pool. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk from the centre of Honfleur, so very central. We stayed in room 9, which was on the 2nd floor, up some narrow stairs. Also there is no air-con. Breakfast was good, price varies from 11-15 euro per person.

“Location absolutely perfect right in the heart on the town. Old world charm from the outside, good decor throught out with some up to date touches but in keeping with the syle of the hotel. Lovely Libarary/ lounge. Small Spa but very useable and relaxing, some of the treatments a little pricey. Overall a great place to stay and would certainly go back.” John, St. Leonards On Sea |
