Location, Location, Location. I am french and have travelled extensively throughout France and I took my two boys (15 & 11 yrs old) along with my husband and we hated to leave. Far away from the tourist crowds yet so close to every single attraction. No anoying salespeople trying to get you to buy souveniers, this is a typical, lively parisian location so you get a real flavor of french life. Hotel is incredibly charming. Breakfast is small but big breakfasts are not customary in France. Rooms are small but with the cafes and bars right next door, you do not need to hang out in your room. People super friendly. Great antiques in room allow for ample clothing space.

We were travelling knackerd from 3 days in Disney with our two kids aged 6 and 13.What we wanted was to relax a bit in a typical Parisien hotel near St Germain and the Latin Quater. We picked the hotel because of is location and the fact it had family rooms. We have done this before and you generally have to take pot luck Must admit we were pleasently suprised the hotel is right next to all sorts of bars and restaurants and only a short walk from the metro. The room was quite spacious and quaint we had room 06 its on the ground floor and you have your own sort of indoor garden? The staff are very polite and helpfull would definately stay again. The only thing I could say against it is that it doesnt have its own bar. There are many close by and you have a stocked minibar but sometimes its nice to sit in a quiet lounge a have a drink after a days sightseeing

Absolutely perfect location! Lots of shops, restaurants (historic Le Procope right next door!), cafes nearby. Convenient transportation options: taxi stand, Metro and bus stops very close by. Within walking distance to Notre Dame & Saint Michel area. Strong WiFi signal in my room. Helpful staff. Will be back for sure.

Wonderful location in Paris so many shops and resturants right on your door step and easily accessible to The Lourve, Notra Dome and many other tourist attractions. Room excellent, breakfast great and all staff very helpful. Very close to the Metro and they have an excellent shuttle service, at a reasonable price, to the international airport. Great place to stay while in Paris.

We were given a large room on the ground floor with a large bathroom. The shower was lovely and warm and the towels were extremely fluffy and soft. I loved having sheets and a blanket on the bed rather than just a doona. They also supplied real soap as well as body/hair gel, tissues, a shower cap and a bar fridge with contents to purchase. Breakfast was enjoyed each morning with a pot of coffee each and a basket of bread, croissants and pastries. The location is excellent being able to walk to the Louvre, Musee d Orsay and Notre Dame as well as being surrounded by restaurants and cafes. The staff were friendly and helpful and we would gladly stay here again.

We received excellent service from Lorette when we had a problem with our reservation. She went way out of her way to procure room at another hotel for us when her hotel was full. We returned to Left Bank the next day and found the hotel to be an excellent place to stay.

Gentleman on front desk very helpful and spoke perfect English. Breakfast was included and plentiful. Friendly staff. Room was quiet once the windows were closed and air conditioning worked well and could be controlled in the room. Excellent location close to many tourist sites, food, shops, river, and metro for those places further away.

Nicely decorated and with a really cozy feeling to the place . Pleasant staff , both at reception and in the breakfast room. The location is splendid and a taxi rank is very conveniently situated barely 30 metres from the hotel entrance. Breakfast room at 10am is a user "bottleneck" . One person serving, although efficient, cannot handle fast enough the volume of guests at peak times with the result of too many uncleared tables and clients waiting to be seated.

Location, center of Paris. It's near the station "Odeon" in Saint- Germains des pres. Wifi was convenient to use. Facilities wasnt't good than I thaught. Everything in the hotel was old and classic. And really high price. If you're expecting the modern and convenient facilities than I don't recommand this hotel.

Stayed at Left Bank with my husband for our birthdays weekend. Excellent location, only minutes walk from Ilé de France. The room looked like recently refurbished and very clean. Very tasteful decor. Friendly and helpful staff. The room was too small, not what was advertsied. Didn't bother us that much - we don't mind small spaces. The breakfast cost at €12 each is very dear, provided the only hot food offered was eggs (fried, boiled etc). The buffet choice wasn't plenty. The cost of €152 per night excluding breakfast is very high, but worth it if you are after location.

The Left Bank hotel was in an excellent location, surrounded by restaurants and within walking distance to the major Paris sights. The hotel itself was lovely inside and the room was very well decorated and bed was comfortable. The staff working at reception were always very friendly and helpful when we spoke to them. The shower in our room was good with good water pressure but when we put the shower head up on the wall it hung down a bit so the water went very close to the wall. Also the shower screen had a gap underneath so the water tended to go all over the bathroom floor. However, we just put a towel down and the room was always cleaned and towels replaced every day, so not a huge issue.

We were very disappointed with the hotel. Based on the price paid we felt we over paid substantially. The Hotel was very, vey small. Claustrophobic. The room was so hot! We had to sleep with the windows open and since the city dosen't sleep we had to listen to traffic, drunks, horns and sirens all throughout the nights. It was difficult just having morning coffee in our room. We had to go get it ourselves. There was no gym! No English tv (except cnn)! Not even subtitles! When we made it known to the employees, nothing was done. We were there 7 nights! The overall feel wasn't accommodating. I would rate the hotel a 2.5 or 3 star, but nothing above that. I'm an experienced traveler.

Location, location, location! Also, a very pleasant service and staff, nice room, great bathroom. Our stay was all about sightseeing, dining, and a bit of shopping as well. This hotel was an excellent choice for all of the above being located in a wonderful neighborhood with lots of great bistros, restaurants and shops. Hope to be back soon.

These are the pros of our stay at Hotel Left Bank- Pricing is approximately the same anywhere in Paris, more or less for a family. For Europe we were nicely accomodated for our family of five including- myself, husband, and children ages 1, 3, and 9 years of age. The rooms were of decent size. The location is fabulous and pretty close to museums and such. We walked everywhere and took a taxi once, though it took quite a while with our large family, during New Years to get places. It took several hours to walk to the Eiffel tower, though we did stop. It is suppose to take approximately 45 minutes, of course much longer with every extra person you have. Pretty close to the Louvre though. But unfortunately closed around New Years and we couldn't go in. The breakfast- the one day we did eat there would not have been included but is considered "included" in your price, though they actually tack on a bit. However we weren't charged the two days around New Years for the days we didn't eat as a "gift" from the hotel. I guess that is nice. However, I wouldn't want to be charged if not eating anyway. Kind of a catch 22 I think. But the selection was much better than described by other patrons in my opinion. Yummy enough for us! I think the people at the front desk were pretty polite, though I do think most french people (to me- an American) can be a bit rude- but I do think it is the culture or the city life aspect that makes them behave this way and is considered normal and appropriate here. * However we visited a small french town the day before and the people were MUCH more friendly and kind in the small area. I think you'll find every city/town comparison about like this though. Overall so glad we made the trip. We will probably look for a different style of hotel next time though. Possibly more affordable. This one cost us$1,300 for three nights, plus we were charged an $80 fee for taxes or something the day we checked out. These are the cons of our stay at Hotel Left Bank- The first evening our son found what seemed to be rat poop on the carpet. We explained this the next day and they said they would promptly clean the carpet again. Not sure how well, but it looked better. The man looked very shocked and acted as though the city demands things to be very clean and sanitary for hotel guests, so it is possible this was something else. Just giving people with children a heads up they could eat something off the floor. There was also a blanket kind of thrown up in the closet. Looked possible used and not folded which made me a little uncomfortable. We avoided it b/c of this. Nice bathrooms and very clean though. The rooms are not at all as beautiful as the photos make them out to be in my opinion. Pretty moulding and wall design. Terrible beds but we were so tired I guess it was fine. It looked so comfy in the photos which is why I picked it. And some guest get nicer views. Not us. We came last minute to see if we could grab some breakfast and at first the lady was rude and said no, but she let us take something for the kids which was nice. They were enjoying a breakfast themselves and waiting on some other guests to finish up. Kind of disheartening but after all- we were late so I understand. For the price I don't think it was worth it. It feels like all of our savings was spent on a so-so room and eating out was insanely expensive itself. Some places that could hold our family size had cola's up to 5-10 euro! CRAZY. But if you are just paying for location.. I guess just make sure to look around. It was very average for us and we don't have super high expectations. We just appreciate- kindness, politeness, cleanliness and decent accomodations. We also do care for value and I just think our stay could have been a little better. All in all, glad we made the trip but we'll probably try other family friendly hotels or go for something for couples one day.

It was clean, comfortable enough for two people who spent their time primarily in the city, not in hotel. Room looked fresh, despite a lot of textile (curtains, walls). Staff was always helpful and friendly. Breakfast was quite ordinary, but good and served well. Location is very convenient, 10 minutes to Louvre. Nothing disturbed us during our stay. It has met our expectations we had then reviewing the profile of this hotel. Before booking saw complaints about rooms’ size. Yes, it is not big, just as tables in Paris cafes and restaurants. But if you plan to sleep and have breakfast, the hotel suits very well.

I like the Parisien deco and the feel of the hotel. The view from my room over the street down below was nice, but the rooms were not sound-proof and we had to listen to a couple making noise all nights during our stay. Breakfast was good and could be served in the room. Internet was intermittent and not the best I've had. It's a nice little hotel with great location, but with the money I paid, I think I could have found something better.
