Nice old village, nice and cozy hotel. Breakfast and dinner fine.
Wifi in the room terrible, bad, time to improve. Wifi is a conditio sine qua non; we also do not pay for having a shower any more.
Location is picturesque, and very quiet, the food in the restaurant is very good, which is great because there is very little alternative locally. The bar area is very pleasant,as are the couple who run the hotel. Ideal for a relaxing stopover.
Carpets in parts of the hotel need replacement.
Staff & quality of food excellent (apart from limited choice of latter). Room had a nice little balcony overlooking the garden & pool.
Same set menu on 2 successive nights didn't give enough choice.
Young french owners who looked after us very well. It was nice that their english was not so good that we didn't have to try our french out. Lovely house and back garden with heated swimming pool. We had an excellent meal there in the evening.
Although the location was excellent, getting to St. Rome was tricky. We stayed there as a one night stop-over on the way to Spain. I suggest that it is better as a spot to stay for several days and visit the caves at Roquefort and other local attractions. We will be doing that next time.
I had the Menu du Jour at the hotel, was very good value and delicous. The staff were very attentive and friendly. Was a good location for my motorcycle tour near Roquefort and Millau. I skipped the 11 euro breakfast going for the boulangerie right next door which was excellent. I was able to park my motorcycle right outside, it felt like a safe location albeit not covered.
Was a little tricky to find, the GPS was completely lost!
Sophie and Kevin were always on hand to help with any enquiries. They were knowledgeable about the menu and explained the provenance of what we ate and drank. We stayed for three very comfortable, peaceful days. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
We were in the area for a wedding and were recommended this hotel, happily so. Sophie and Kevin were very welcoming and worked hard to make sure all the guests were looked after. Our room, although not large but adequate, overlooked the delightful garden and swimming pool. Dinner was good and breakfast was superb - what a choice of gateaux!
Nothing major but a mirror in the bedroom would be very useful. Another small addition would be more coat hangers. Whether this was normal or not I don't know, but we arrived before checking-in time by about half an hour and the place was in darkness. Only the cleaning lady was around and we had to go away and come back at 3!
Fabulous welcome. Relaxed atmosphere. Sophie and Kevin do everything they can to make sure that you feel at home and provide a beautiful, clean and peaceful hotel. The food is excellent.
The friendly atmosphere and the cleanliness of the room. very comfortable.
They should at least change towels after two days. We left them on the floor in the bathroom but they hang them back the same dirty towels.
Everything about this hotel and position is great.Sophi and Kevin are doing a fabulous job of running this hotel. Beautiful quant village and river with facilities withinwalking distance make it perfect holiday destination. Heated swimming pool a pleasure to have a swim before breakfast. Bakery nextdoor for fresh baguettes!
Three days here was too short!
Lovely garden - a surprisingly nice and reasonably sized pool - lovely little bar area - We loved it
We liked it all
Very small room. Bathroom dingy and extractor attachment fell off. Very little to do in the town. Restaurant quite limited and pricey
Situated just on the edge of a pretty village with parking right outside. Attractive pool. Good restaurant for dinner and breakfast, can eat on the terrace. Helpful staff, some English spoken. Effective shower.
Room on the small side, but this is common in France. Carpets and decor a little worn.
Excellent outdoor restaurant and pool.
Room rather small for three people.
Lovely hotel in a good location to explore the area. Rooms clean, comfortable and quiet. Unfortunately the weather was terrible when we stayed so were unable to enjoy the pool or outside area for breakfast which was a shame. The couple running the hotel are both friendly and helpful and breakfast was good with fresh orange juice.
Restaurant menu was a little limited and quite expensive.
We loved the location and absolutely charming hotel that Les Raspes was. The owners and staff were nothing but helpful and friendly and we were made to feel so welcome with our one year old, who can be loud at times. Not once did we feel criticized for travelling with a young child. The pool and garden area was gorgeous and the meal well worth it if you are staying, just delicious and the service of Thomas outstanding. If only we lived closer we'd make this a regular trip for the pool/garden and restaurant experience alone.
The bed was quite hard, just a personal thing from us - we found most European beds too hard :)
Very helpful friendly welcoming staff, nice relaxed quiet atmosphere. Attractive decor and very clean. An enjoyable dinner on the terrace completed a stop-over to recommend.
Staff room area food beer price
food, atmosphere, surroundings.
need better signage,if possible. I walked past the hotel a couple of times before I found it. breakfast could be more generous.
The very charming and informative 'lady of the house', the parking at the door, the lift, the room, the bed, the shower and the breakfast
Very friendly and helpful owners, pretty location, gourmet restaurant. Rooms were clean and spacious with balcony.
The owners are lovely people and couldn't be more helpful. The hotel is immaculate and very comfortable. We had supper in the restaurant which was excellent, freshly cooked and good value. All in all a great place to stay in a very pretty location. We will definitely be back
The welcome and the service throughout our stay was superb, Kevin and Sophie surpassed them selves to ensure our stay perfect. We ate in their restaurant on both nights and thoroughly enjoyed the excellent locally grown food. (And wine!) Such a delight to sit in the garden overlooking the pool in the evening sun sampling a plate of 7 local cheeses and a sweet wine recommended by Kevin, St Rome du Tarn is a gem in a wonderful position from which to explore the Tarn both upstream and downstream, the Daube valley and the Millau viaduct. We all agreed that a return to the area and to Les Raspes has to be sooner rather than later.
Very attentive and friendly personnel. Attention to detail, welcome card & biscuit. Comfortable bed. Good food.
Restaurant price a bit on the high side (comparing with La Suisse however)
Very friendly and welcoming hotel staff. Dinner was delicious and included great local produce.
