Close to a nice beach and coastal walks. Several things that made our stay uncomfortable...Firstly, our room was old and smelled horrible – it was as if it had been flooded by water and never aired out. We had to leave the window open day and night of which the noise of passing cars and rubbish trucks throughout the night was unbearable. The sea views we paid extra for were practically unseen as there was a large wall blocking much of it. The bathroom was old, the toilet frame broken and the shower head was unable to be hang up. The TV only has 4 channels, all of which were quite random - no arte, BFM or canel +. Lastly, the breakfast is good but defiantly over priced.

The carpet in the bedroom was very badly stained. There was no cafe or restaurant or even a bar to have a cup of coffee.

Gret value for the price, clean and good service. Near to city but not noisy. No late check in price of breakfast compared to the total fee was 40%! 35 euro for double room, 16 euro for two breakfast.

The good price 35€. And we could bring our dog. Also within a short walk to a nice beach. Outdated. The carpet leaves a lot to be desired. The matress was a memory foam which you sunk into too much if there are two in the bed. If it hadn't been for the low price I would have picked another hotel.

The advertised "sea view" was a "sea glimpse" between roofs of buildings.

Pool is good, breakfast is good, location is good. All good apart from the window sun blinds that were poor and let in far to much light at night time.

Good sound 2 star hotel. Well located for beach with good views. Pool is tiny, but good to cool off. It's about half an hour's walk from the town proper and 5 mins from beach. If you come by train then get the No3 bus from outside the station, only €1 per person and it stops outside the hotel.

The breakfast was excellent, very good value. Overall the hotel was getting a bit tired, the fixtures & fittings (taps, toilet seat etc) were in need of replacing, the room door was very noisy each time we opened it. it was not the worst hotel by far that we have stayed in but it just needs updating.

Bed was comfortable. It is nothing against the hotel but Sete isn't a place for an American to go on a vacation.

Nothing stands out, except perhaps good parking. The room was tired and didn't represent the photo on their site. Bathroom needs attention sooner rather than later. Lift worked spasmodically.

The staff was great. We had a late check in and we felt welcomed. We stayed for one night only and we were given a superior room because there was one available (without additional cost). Great view from balcony and breakfast buffet was nice. I wished our stay would have been longer. Perhaps an update of the bathrooms would be necessary, but it worked well.

Close to the town beach, nice swimming pool, own parking space. Rooms are ok, but bathroom equipment was below standard and old. For a weekend one can survive but would not recommend for longer stays.

On a one week cycle tour in the south of France with three others. Used this hotel as a one night stop over. We made a 25 minute walk to the main old port area where there is a concentration of restaurants and which seems to be the main centre of animation. As a functional stop-over hotel Les Tritons is good but it seems a little out of the way if you want to explore the town of Sete, most famous for being the birth place of artist and poet Paul Valery, who is buried in a tomb in the cemetery that lies on the steep hill above the old port. Seems a little out of the way for exploring the town. The restaurant is a bit basic but it is easy eat out nearby.

Good location for beaches, shops and sightseeing The sea view stated on the booking form for which I believe we paid a supplement was non existent from our 1st floor room due to the large piscine located across the road.the manager undertook to investigate a transfer to a 4th floor room but we were not informed of the outcome

“I found the staff very welcoming and attentive. They were also helpful in respect to advice about getting around Sete and places to visit. The hotel itself is clean and comfortable, with good use of colour and design features. It is also just ten minutes easy walking from the train station, next to the theatre, and on the main bus route.” Anne, London |
