Location is perfect. Close to the the metro station, harbor, shops and cafes. Even so, it's very quite in the room. There are a couple of grocery shops around. Good quality for this money. The room was very clean and tidy. Large new bathroom. free wifi. can't say anything about breakfast - it's not included in the room price, so I preferred to eat outside. good choice for weekend break. there are no rooms in the hotel facing the harbor. Even the room I got (Superior Double room with the harbor view) had only side view from the balcony. there is no refrigerator - you can't keep water and juice cold. no tea/coffee.

Great central position, near to harbour and metro. Good choice at breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice room with walk-in shower and flatscreen TV with BBC1 and BBC2 (unusual). Air conditioning in the room could be better.

The hotel is ideally located for the bustling port area of Marseille. It is right at the heart of the action and also within easy walking distance of the the beach and other attractions like boat trips, mini train rides etc. Although it is situated in an area of dense traffic for most of the day the rooms are very well soundproofed and the standard of room cleanliness was very high. The breakfast room was stuffy and a bit like eating in a shoe box. The fact that there was no tea / coffee in the room was a disappointment and none were available from reception. Also at busy times the lift was woefully inadequate!

Ideal location situated on the old port close to endless retaurants, shops and the Metro system. Nice big room recently renovated/decorated. Room was on 5th floor and had a balcony with a side ways view of the port. Staff soke good English and were helpful and courteous. Room was very close to the breakfast room and from 6 am onwards there was the loud noise of dirty crockery/cutlery being collectd and then wheeled down the corridor past all the rooms to be cleaned. Breakfast was a bit manic with too many people and not enough space at times.

Helpful friendly staff, good location, clean and modern rooms. Considering the price, the room did not represent value for money. "Port view" is misleading, and my room simply looked over the main street.

The hotel is located in the middle of the Vieux Port shopping and dining area, across the street from the sea. The rooms have modern fittings and design and were very comfortable. The Metro station and a taxi stand are across the street.

Not a luxury hotel but the rooms are very nice and clean indeed. Best position in the city. The staff is very kind and speak english very well (way better the rest of the city...). Very low shower water pressure. Toilet separated from the bathroom(?).

Very good and clean hotel, located right next to a metro station. In our superior room we had seperate toilet and bath, which is very convinient. The street next to the hotel is very busy and emergency vehicle sirens can often be heard, even through the insulated windows. Also, I think central heating was on and it was a bit too hot for us (although we tried to turn on the room's a/c which didn't do much). Travellers with cars will have to spend about 20 euros per night just for the nearby parking lots.

Very helpful and attentive staff. Excellent breakfast buffet, mainly continental although bacon and scrambled eggs is offered and the option to boil your own egg(!) is a nice touch. Rooms with view of the port (I booked a Superior Double) have a side view i.e. there are no rooms at the front of the building overlooking the port as is the impression when you look at the photos of the outside of the hotel.

Excellent location. Public parking nearby. Metro immediately opposite. Large room (Superior). Comfortable bed. Large shower. Day reception staff very friendly. Night reception clerk was slightly grumpy over the intercom when asked to open the front door. Admittedly it was about 03.30am!

Steps from the metro, right next to old town Marseille and free internet. The "ocean view" room only has an ocean (harbor) view if you open the window, lean over the banister and crane your neck to the left. Very dissapointing. The A/C system is antiquated and is "one temperature fits all."

The position was excellent and we had a room with a balcony overlooking the old port, as requested on my original booking. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and the extensive breakfast buffet was worth the 10 euros additional cost.

Very well located hotel in the centre of the Vieux-Port area of Marseille. Nice modern refurbished rooms. Although it was the first time I stayed in this Hotel, I got an upgrade to a Junior Suite. Bice touch and next time I will consider to book this hotel again. Breakfast was nice too, with a superb collection of tea to choose from.

“I don't believe you can find a better value with location and quality in Marseille. It is easy to locate, ideal for walking to all areas of the city including (obviously) the Vieux-port, the city's shopping area, boat rides, as well as Notre Dame de la Garde. No charge for Wifi is a big plus. Parking is across the street in an underground garage, easy to get back and forth to hotel. I have stayed here on two separate trips and will continue to stay here on return trips. ” Ursula, Norfolk |
