Paris Bastille  

- The location is quite central and allows you to discover Paris by Metro easily - The beds were comfortable

- We could hear a lot of noise coming from other rooms and the corridor. Whenever somebody walked by on the corridor, we could hear it in the night. - The hotel does not have an own parking, but there is a public garage right in front of the hotel. The price of 40 euros per day is way too high though.

Location.

I got 200 euros stolen from my bag when I was out of the hotel. Once I realized, I went to the reception and they promised the Manager will come to my room to talk to me. I am still waiting... Pretty bad experience and they seemed not to care whatsoever!

Location was central Directly across from Bastille station so easy to get around

The room key did not work when I went to the open the room and when I went downstairs for assistance the lady made it seem like I was such an inconvenience as she was chatting to her friends in the lobby. My partner had to go downstairs a few times before she was willing to come to our room to rectify the problem. In the end it was her fault but no apology at all from her. I was so annoyed as we just wanted to get into the room to go to the toilet and rest but she was too busy chatting away. So inconsiderate for any hotel staff! Also the walls are extremely thin! I could hear everything outside the room when people walked past as if they were in the room. So not great for a light sleeper. Also there was a caddy for sugar, tea and coffee next to the kettle but there was no coffee or tea in there. We had to go downstairs to ask for it. They also ran out of luggage storage space and had to leave our luggage in the foyer when we checked out.

We had a great stay here, Very cold few days in Paris nice to come back to tea & coffee making facilities in the room. nice cozy warm room and very friendly staff. We will return in the spring. Thankyou.

Hotel Paris Bastille is very closed to the Lyon station. Good place to stay. The reception staff was really great and was available for any question or help. They gave us some good tips. The breakfast room is good. Nice place and the service was very pleasant. Standard buffet including fresh fruits, cereals, different types of bread, ... The hotel is well situated in the Bastille area in front of the Bastille metro station! Good shopping opportunities at walking distance. Parking Opera is very closed and the staff has agreements so that we did benefit of a good price. Great when you know that the car in a parking could cost as much as a hotel night ;-)

The room was small Unfortunately, as usual in Paris, price is very expensive.

Very expensive for what it is.

Lower than any standard 3 star hotel. Rude receptionists. Didn't have the facilities of a proper hotel, ie room service, manuals, etc. Elevator roof was broken for 3 days of stay. Breakfast area was not upto standard. Junior suite was too expensive and it was not a suite, it was just one medium size room. Noise from other rooms was hear able.

It was perfectly situated for everything we were doing from getting on the hop off hop on bus to eating out as well as the proximity to Gare de Lyon. Staff were helpful in recommending eating places when we first arrived into Paris.

The location was good for getting around to all the major sites and a very nice shopping district. The staff was friendly and helpful.

The hotel needs an upgrade. The door keys are the old joke punch electronic cards that aren't very secure. The rooms are very small. The area tends to be noisy at night and feels slightly seedy. I would not recommend this hotel for families with small children.

The Hotel is near to the Paris Lyon Station (8 mins walk) and is just 50m from the Metro Bastille station. I am very happy to see the room size is big and very comfortable. Also, the Room have 2 bathrooms. The beds are comfortable and very clean. 46 inches LCD TV is on the room. This is the first time I find such big TV in the Room. The Hotel reception lady is very Nice and shows me how to go the neaby supermarket. Although the Hotel price is not very cheaper, I still recommend this for you if you go with family. If possible, I must back this Hotel again in the coming Holidays.

If breakfast is included in the Room price, that will be prefect. Also, there is centralised air-conditioning system, and the room temperature seems not cool enough.

The front desk staff were amazing, very helpful and informative. Breakfast was very good, room was large enough to accommodate luggage from a 8 week holiday, bathroom supplies were amazing.

Air conditioning wasn't working really well at all. Called the reception, and was told it was working. There was small glass fragments on the bathroom floor.

Convienient, and clean. Close to metro and major monuments. Supermarket was also close.

Breakfast was expensive

Location. very close to Bastille station. The room was very large with 2 bathrooms. One was not working but, we got 2 free breakfasts because of that inconvenience. The staff speaks english and is very helpful with directions and recommendations, they can reserve and order taxis for you. They help you to svae money on subways and transfers by telling you the in and outs. The hotel is clean and rooms spacious. The buffette is excellent, for the price you pay at least they have fruit, juices, bread, coffee (outstanding), salami, eggs, cereal, etc. etc.

My bed lost one of the legs and I had to use a series of magazines to level it. I told the staff and they did not fix it, I complained at the end once agan and all the breakfats charges were gone. This type of customer servcie is not common abroad (they just say, we apologize) but, this people gave us something of value (116 Euro's back in Brakfasts for 4 days

location near metro. Good isolation so we almost did not hear anything of the streetnoise. Good value. Public parking on the other side of the street. People at the reception are willing to help.

Location and friendliness of staff

The staff were very helpful. Richard and Giovanni made sure all our needs were taken care of. Especially when it can to using the Metro system, which was fantastic btw. The rooms were a little old but very comfortable. Our locaction was great right near the metro and we were upgraded upon arrival

The room had an odor and the plumbing had problems including noise, poor water flow and not very warm water. The walls are very thin so you hear the neighbors noise. Also noise from metro and the street

When you're traveling to Paris, you can't expect a Hampton Inn experience for what the average family can afford. What you want is a place that is clean, safe, and comfortable. The Paris Bastille is all of these. The staff was great, the beds were comfortable, the room was very quiet and the bathrooms were nice. They kept our luggage safe for us while we finished the day before catching the ic train back to Frankfurt. And one of the things I especially liked was the small market/grocery across the street on the back-side of the hotel. The fruit (in June) was spectacular, and the guy who owns the place is very nice. I fed 4 people a great, fresh breakfast, with baguets for about 9 euros. All in all we'd stay here again... And will.

The rooms are smaller than pictured. (Naturally) We had two adults and two middle schoolers in a 4-person room. It was tight. The beds are just a tad smaller than a twin; Paris sized, I guess. The breakfast was 11 & 15 euros, a tad high. But.... It's paris. For the price, is was great!
