L'Ouest Hotel is in the center of Paris, 500 ft from the Saint-Lazare Metro and RER Station, and a 5-minute walk from the Galeries Lafayette and Printemps department stores. It offers free Wi-Fi.
Score from 545 reviews Good
Convenience to Metro and Gard de l'Est (we came by train). Clean, comfortable bed; excellent bath and towels. Staff was excellent, spoke English and helped us get where we wanted to go via Metro. Near restaurants/cafes. 24 hour desk.
lift was minuscule, however our room was on 1st floor, so we used stairs; complimentary coffee would have been nice.
Clean and tidy hotel
Very tiny elevator.
Big room , great bed , nice staff
Clean and near many attractions.
Mineral water in the fridge was not evian but the bill was evian.
- location of the hotel - size and quality of bed - clean interiors of guest rooms - good service - quiet, despite location near main arteries
- no free wifi in the hotel (2 Euros per day; one ticked apply to one device only)
Value for money... Great location for bussiness.. Clean Quiet close to metro..
The location was perfect, it is located in a quarter mostly inhabited by actual Frenches and not many tourists so you get a feeling you are actually in France and not in the Middle East. It is surrounded by historic buildings, two impressive arches, plenty of restaurants and cheap supermarkets which you don't find in other locations in central Paris. It takes you only 10 minutes walk to the latin quarter and the Notre Dam. You will have to take a metro to see the Eiffel tower, but most attractions such as Louvre are in walking distance. Living in this hotel you get a feeling that you wake up in Paris which is the most important sensation you want when traveling to this beautiful city.
There is almost nothing to dislike. However, consider that the lift is tiny. Don't throw money on Hotel's breakfast when you can enjoy a typical Parisian coffee and croissants under a maroon umbrella at any local cafe. At this end of the day that's why you go to Paris. In Paris, like a Parisian! Also make sure you book or ask for a room that looks on the street not the backyard, specially if you are a bright shiny person!. The hotel has a coffee machine, and you can enjoy a coffee or a hot chocolate for only 1 eur, so don't order anything from the overly expensive room menu!
Nice hotel, very friendly staff, good location, worth the money
Two min away from hop off and hop on bus.. Notre dam is near on 15 min walk...main line and locations easily accessible ... All good pubs around... The staff is excellent, patient enough to help you with all your queries.. An early breakfast was arranged for our early morning flight... Overall a great experience..
location is good (5 min walking distance to underground station), room size is good for a family of 4 especially in Paris standards, shuttle service provided with an extra cost was very convenient
very small elevator, paid wi fi was poor in rooms, rooms and lobby look much fancier in photos then really they are.
- location is very good (15 minutes walking to Notre Dame, 2 minutes to the metro station) - price is reasonable - hotel is clean and in a good condition - breakfast is 12 EUR extra, but it is better/cheaper to go to any cafe located nearby - sometimes you can get very big family rooms for a price of single room
- no free wi-fi - single rooms are really small
Staff were very friendly & helpful, and the rooms were clean & comfortable. It was close to the metro station, which is always handy.
Good bed and pillows Also clean room and big room Elevator available Quite neighborhood
Clean bathroom, super shower, good quality towels, quiet room (ask for one), all of a decent size for central Paris. A good deal for the price we paid. We didn't pay for the breakfast - loads of place within 5 mins walking distance.
No free wireless and no kettle
Bed was hard. Bathrooms look much larger in the photos online. Location wasn't as central as I had hoped. Would have preferred being closer to more attractions by foot vs just close to the metro. Weren't many options for breakfast nearby. Closest places were about a half mile away for breakfast. Thought it was weak that they charged for wifi. The rooms were very small. Barely enough room to walk around suitcase to make it bathroom from the bed. Only shampoo and soap were provided- not lotion or conditioner. No ironing board in the room- only available in a separate room in the evening during certain hours. Tiny elevator. Breakfast was 12 euros for coffee, juice, and a few pastrys- nothing warm with the breakfast.
the location is convenient, close to the metro, shops, restaurants. the cleanliness, the quiet bedroom and the nice bathroom. Helpful and professional staff. would recommend this hotel for a stopover in Paris.
would have been great if the coffee machine downstairs had been working.
I accidently left my gold chain in the hotel room. They emailed me in Australia to say they found it. They then delivered it back to me in Australia! Wonderful experience. Great location. Fantastic value for money. Very friendly and honest staff that were always wanting to help! Great experience!
On arrival, the hotel staff were very helpful. The bedroom was a good size, as was the bathroom, and the bed was comfortable.
The buffet breakfast choice was rather limited for the price (€12), though the coffee machine produced decent results and the croissants were good!
Close to everything, very clean, very quiet. Maximum convenience and a very affordable price
Paid wifi is not so cool, this is a service that should be provided free
Lots of shops and restaurants, cafes in area, and the Metro is 2 streets away. The staff is very nice and super helpful. Breakfast has nice selection of food and beverage.
Being right in the city it got very noisy well into the night, so ask for higher floor. Not sure about accessibility so if you have mobility impairments make sure you ask for accessible room/floor. The lift is tiny, can't possibly fit more than 2 people with luggage.
Friendly Staff, great location, Nice Hotel, Close to Metro, 3 stops to Gard De Nord. Breakfast was good, great Coffee.
Everything was perfect.
The easy to contrôlée shower
The coat hangers
Extremely convenient location, metro line 4 is four minutes by foot. Clean, modern and spacious twin room as in the photos, a rare combination for Paris. Room has a safe, it is also quiet. If you are young and a little relaxed, Place de La Republique is near for drinks. I found that you can see many of the important sights within 40mins of walk heading south.
The neighborhood is so-so. Marais people are too street for some tastes. Breakfast is very typical 3 star. Fan ventilation in bathroom was very slow. You pay a little too much for 3* and wifi is extra. Lobby is very small.
Quality of room, bed very comfortable, staff very helpful.
Wi fi costs 2 euro per 24 hours per device. Area not the best though good transport links. This Hotel is not really in the Marais.
