The bed was clean and comfortable, the cleaning staff were very kind, the reception staff were kind and mostly patient appart from one lady. It was great that despite me not having my credit card on me, they still enabled me to pay for the hotel with it. The gentleman working at reception on the morning of my departure kindly posted some postcards for me. No furniture! Not having a place to neatly store my clothes while there made my stay rather uncomfortable. The price charged is a price I usually pay for 3-4-star hotels around Europe, which offer much more and usually breakfast is included! |

Price, location, staff, check in times, luggage store was great but also being able to buy our supper and wine at the local spar and enjoy it in the hotel courtyard made a great stay very affordable. |

Had been expecting the worst from other guest reviews, but the expereince overall was fine. Staff were polite and helpful. Relatively good location for the Old Port, sightseeing generally and theer were some reasonable restaurants within approx a 15 min walk.Bus stops and the metro were close by.. Despite the hospital-like look, the bed was surprisingly comfortable;and for France, the room size was good. Although the selection of food for breakfast was limited, it reperesented good value compared to nearby cafes. Rooms had poor quality decor and furnishings. Needs carpets and some cupboards/storgage. The air conditioning unit was broken and I was told that this would not be repaired. The light was faulty in the bathroom.Felt the accommodation was overpriced. The website does not include directions to get to the hotel by public transport, so it took longer than expected to find it. |

Staff were very nice - it was generally "very ok" breakfast - the word "buffet" is overstretched. the arrangement of beds in the room is bizarre. |

The hotel was central and there was easy access to Marseille's key sights. either within easy walking distance or by public transport. I found the hotel very good value for money and its staff cheerful and most helpful. |

Big room. Good location. Very basic and old furniture. If you plan to stay in the room more than for taking a shower and dressing up this is not the place for you |

The staff is friendly and helpful. The breakfast is good value for the price and you can eat as much as you want. Good central location: next to main shopping area and it only takes a couple of minutes to walk to Place Castellane, the bus/metro hub. Room was nice and big. The air conditioning worked well. The room was rather spartan for the price: just the bare minimum of furniture, no pictures on the wall or any other decoration. |

Fleas in room. Hair on pillows. Aircondition dripping water on bedside table lamp. Horrible furniture. Had to leave and find another hotel! |

The hotel was very well situated. The room was very basic, quite old furniture and a few cigarette burns in the floor, but it was clean and good value for money. |

The location: two minute walk from Rue de Rome, which leads to the vieux port, office du tourisme and two minute walk from le Cours Julien (a must see... nice area with restaurants and bars). The staff was amazing: reception open 24/7. They even offered to keep our luggage on our last day after we checked out of the room! Towels in bathroom but no soap. Nice room space but no storage unit. |

Located 200 metres from the Joliette underground station and Euroméditerranée, Hotel Les Gens de Mer offers a warm and friendly welcome 10 minutes by foot from the famous Vieux Port. |
The hotel boasts a gorgeous Napoleonic facade, and it welcomes you in the heart of Marseille, 300 metres from the Old Port, in a semi pedestrian street in the district of Noailles. |
The residence is located in a residential district near the city centre and right by the Palais des Congrès (exhibition centre). |
The hotel boasts a tremendous location, right next to Saint Charles railway station (TGV) and close to the famous Canebière and the Old Port. It features comfortable rooms. |
