The breakfast, starting at 0730, is too late. In Paris on business, I had to leave the hotel at 0700 so had no breakfast. A very bad point.
This hotel was in a perfect location, clean, tidy and good value for money. Its old but that just adds to the charm
The wifi was hit and miss but that's our only complaint
The hotel was situated a stones throw from the tower. A great base to start from and finish from. You could hardly get lose with such a tall landmark to look for :)
Good location, fairly comfortable bed.
Hotel is tired.
Great location, nice staff, quiet rooms
Rooms in poor condition
Excellent location. Close to everything; food store, metro, restaurants and some major sights and shopping streets.
The standard: wallpapers and paint coming off the walls. No air condition or similar. Small. Although it was acceptable considering price and location.
location, near to tower, next to metro and bus station.
Location, near to my son's apartment. Good Breakfast.
Sheets and blankets on beds, prefer duvets. Slight smell of cigarettes in room. Did not realise breakfast was not included in price, was rather expensive for what was available.
Bed Incomplete bathroom Very poor internet
very poor wifi, staff very cold expect one receptionist.
Told at arrival breakfast was free. Only did breakfast twice in 7 days, wanted to charge for 4 at checkout. Settled to pay for one morning. Get FREE breakfast in writing!!
The staff was fantastic- very helpful and friendly. The location was great to experience life in Paris in a less tourist-y area.
The room is quite small- the smallest of all the European hotels I have stayed at- and the bed could use an update to be a little more comfortable.
Small room. Wifi poor, only in lobby for most of stay. Last 2days wifi was fixed and available in room. A must when trying to book trains/planes
location, good and clean bathroom
no fridge, very narrow elevator
The balcony view into the street and the restaurants across the road! Very convenient location with great choice for eating out; close to the Metro station and walk to Eiffel Tower and gardens.
No tea & coffee making facilities in our room; otherwise all basics provided for.
Location amazing! Cheap hotel in great spot with metro at your doorstep and a supermarket and restaurants. Rooms clean and basic.
Wifi was poor and we needed it to transfer funds and confirm bookings. Had to hand in the key every time you left meaning you had to wait for it upon your return each time. Rooms small.
excellent position and acces
might need a slight rehabilitation, new sheets and beds
Close to Eiffel
Not clean and pretty small Toilet, floor carpet was smelling,
Location Local Shops & Restaurants Close to the Metro No Traffic Noise (windows closed) Aircon Lift Wi-Fi in room Safe for valuables Helpful Reception
Cleanliness Standard of Decor One small pillow No bedside table Room/WC On the small side Wall mirror in lousy position No sink plug Plumbing noise from other rooms
Location, location, location and friendly staff. Room small, but hey this is Paris. Would recommend.
We had huge problems with payments, as two different credit cards were used for reservation and payment - we still waiting for the pre-authorisation sum to be released (one week passed). Personnel wasn't helpful in this situation.
Friendly & helpful staff. The location is right next to the subway & walking distance to the Effile tower. The restaurant 7? Vive?the one right by them is excellent. The rooms were nice nothing fancy.
Location Free Wi FI
Room was very small but it is OK for very short stays. No English TV channels were available
The location of this hotel is excellent, a very short leisurely stroll round the corner to the Eiffel Tower. It is also literally across the road from the Metro and a supermarket and a few bars and restaurants. The staff were ok (they changed our room upon request without a problem) and gave us info when we asked. We felt totally safe in the area we were staying
We were first given room 602 at the top of the hotel. It is the worst room I've ever been given. Stained carpet, broken lamp shade. Very dated decor and furniture. It had some mould/damp and although I had a cold, my wife could smell the fusty smell with damp. I asked to change rooms and they gave us 104 (why didn't we get this in the first place?) and they did it without problem. This room was a lot lot better no mould and looked a lot cleaner, very small still but enough for us for a few nights (I've heard paris rooms are smaller) .bathroomclean but tiny. The bed needs a new mattress by miles (it didn't help my back that much) all in all 104 was for paris I'm guessing about right for what we paid. To sum up the hotel where it is, and from outside could be really really nice and very quaint if they bought new carpets, new mattress etc furniture and really did it up then I'm sure people would return time and time again so if the owners of the hotel prince read this, you really need to do this because you have the basis of a lovely hotel that is let down by some small investment in the decor etc. Would I recommend. Still probably yes for room 104 although still don't expect luxury. For room 602 never ever ever!!
