Excellent price - breakfast included.

The people at the reception desk are really friendly, helpful and fluent in English. It's only 15 minutes (on foot) from the train/auto-station.

The breakfast is "french" meaning it consists basically only from sweet things.

The friendly and helpful staff - those at the front desk and the cleaning staff.

It's a shame that the carpets along the corridors and in some of the bedrooms are so shabby - lots of staining in large and small patches. It does let down the rest of the facilities which seem clean and look well e.g. bathroom / toilet / bed linen and kitchette.

it was spacious for 4 people and very clean. The breakfast was very good.

It was very noisy because of the pub near the hotel. There were a lot of young people.

Geat location in the old centre of Chambery close to bars and restaurants. Has a small kitchen so you can self cater if you wish. Has a limited number of spaces in the under ground car park from where you can unload your car almost directly into the lift that goes into the hotel.

Kitchenette in the room was a great bonus; location was so convenient for the buses and sightseeing on foot; staff was very helpful and friendly!

Room was sometimes overly warm during the night (stay in late October).

The blanket smelled like someone smoked in bed before.

The breakfast--f orget it!!! You cannot sleep , when the window is open, because outside it is very loud. Every night. We left the hotel 4 days before becaus of the nights. It would be fair, when breakfast start at 7:30, when you can get the bagutettes at this time and not at 8:00

Good size room with balcony and good in room facilities, like an apartment. Good position for exploring the town. Nice breakfast and service. Has a lift, which is a bonus.

No negatives for us

The reception area is too small for more than about 6 people. My room was large - 1 double 1 single bed - but the lighting was unfit for even a small sin gle room. For instance the only ceiling light had a weak bulb and was situated in a corner. There were no bedside lights. The toilet was stained and obviously had not been cleaned properly for some long time. I had asked for parking for 2 cars because of the value of the vehicles we were driving. On arrival we were told parking was full and that there was public parking across the road. We eventually found a multi storey car park nearby which had security cameras. Would I use the Curial again ? No. Would I recommend it? No.

The size of the room, the location and the price all suited us because the room was a generous size, it was located close to Chambery station which I was returning to from Italy, and the price was very reasonable.

The facilities could do with some going over, only small things like the kettle not working and the bathroom facilities needing updating, however these were only minor complaints and didn't really bother us too much.

The room was basic but comfortable and had a self-catering kitchenette space which was ideal, as was the location, as I was using it as a base for daily cycling trips out into the countryside and so I could prepare more appropriate food to supplement the standard continental breakfast that the hotel offered. The room was secure and tidy and I could keep my bicycle in my room. It makes a good budget choice for an extended stopover to explore the Chambery area, especially backpackers or cyclotourists.

No wardrobe strorage for clothing in my room, although there was some open shelf space. The identical building opposite is a student hall of residence and this gives a clue as to what to expect in terms of decor and facilities. It's not suitable for people who want a luxurious hotel experience as the focal point of a city break.

I must say I was surprised to find a nice clean hotel at a good price,spacious room and balcony with a view of treetops,surrounding mountains and the city.My husband suggests to have the top of the trees cut to get a better view but I think bird-watching was fun.Anyway,this is a good place to discover the small charming city of Chambery with its student flair and above all ,the beautiful surroundings,e,g,lakes,hamlets and Aix -les Bains,Annecy and of course the lushly green mountains.In summer,it takes only a short drive to reach the beaches at the shores of the lakes of Le Bourget and Lac du Aigulette.The region is up to now not too crowded by tourists and still unspoiled,yet there are many activities to suit the taste of everybody,so this hotel is the right place for those who want some comfort not luxury at a fair price,a clean room equipped with a very functional kitchenette with a lot of utensils,refrigerator and microwave ,so you can cook complete meals if you like.The young staff was very friendly and helpful,communication in English and even German was very good(you won"t find this everywhere in France).All this made our stay of six days very enjoyable as well as we got a safe parking lot in the garage for our full-packed car. We had a good French style breakfast,(my husband missed only the eggs,but in France breakfast usually isn't as sumptious as in other places of Europe) at the fair price of 7 Euros.

We had a cut of the internet because installation of telecommunications has been re-arranged.

Very good location, in fact perfect location for city walk and eating.

Hotel was a bit shabby.Carpets were stained and worn paint work was chipped and dirty.There was no air conditioning. It was very noisy otside the Hotel at night.

The location and price were excellent and well as service. I loved the room, it was spacious and had everything I needed from a kitchenette to nice, big bathtub and a balcony! In the U.S. you could not get a hotel like this for the price we paid. Service was excellent and very friendly as well! Thank you so much for everything!

I can't think of anything I would change about my stay.

medium-sized hotel with modern facilities. I like clean, convenient kitchenette. The simple, delicious food, eat it. Next to a square near the restaurant. And supermarkets. Nice ..we love this hotel.

Cet hôtel est très bien situé en ville, près de tout. Le personnel est vraiment très agréable, des réceptionnistes aux femmes de chambre. Cela fait plusieurs fois que j'y viens pour mon travail, et à chaque fois on me trouve, à ma demande, une chambre au calme. Même si cet hôtel n'est pas hyper luxueux, il offre toutes les commodités nécessaires, en particulier une kitchenette qui dépanne bien. Et on peut se garer facilement, quelle que soit l'heure.

La décoration est un peu défraîchie, il serait temps de penser à changer quelques meubles et les moquettes, même si tout cela reste propre.
