Booked a back of the hotel room. Very adequate space and well serviced. Staff was very friendly, and put up with my miserable and funny attempt to speak French. They could not have been more friendly and pleasant. Breakfast was plentiful and excellent! Most other meals there were very good to excellent. Service superb! Evening bar service was excellent with conversational attendants. It was a wonderful place to spend 10 days. The hotel was convenient for both business and great relaxation. I would stay there again and again! The internet was impossibly slow.

I liked the Royal Westminster because of it's convenient position in Menton. To shops and beach. The garden is a pleasant place to sit in sun or shade and it's proximity to the sea is excellent. I liked the evening entertainment and the friendliness of John Louis who served us coffee > His cheerfulness added that personal touch which was sadly lacking generally in the Hotel It would be useful to have a fridge in bedroom to keep drinks cold and also tea/ coffee making facility

excellent location. Large room. Breakfast was poor. eg poor selection and supplies eg choice of fresh fruit exhausted by 8 45am. and staff refused to replenish. The fruit salad was poor. Staff in the restaurant were not friendly. We therefore decided not to have dinner in the restaurant. The heating controls in the bedroom did not work. With one exception the reception staff were not helpful. eg I was given a passwird for wifi for first three days and told i could reapply for my last 2 days. The exception a dark haired younger gentleman. One lift not sufficent to service 6 floors.

The hotel is very centrally located with very easy access to both the sea front and the pedestrian shopping street behind. Couldn't be better. The staff were courteous and friendly, particularly at reception. We had a lovely room on the first floor with an enormous terrace overlooking the gardens and the sea. The bar areas were very quiet which was nice in a way but slightly surprising that by 10.30pm everyone had gone to bed. We chose to eat in the hotel dining room one evening and it felt like a canteen as many guests were on full board and the service was rushed through. We had barely ordered our food when the first course arrived and the whole meal was over in 45 minutes! The waitresses were cleaning the tables next to us and preparing them for breakfast while we were still eating. The food was good but this 'rushing through' aspect was disappointing in the context of an otherwise lovely sojourn. Maybe it's because we stayed 'out of season' but the majority of the guests were quite elderly. The upside of that is that there weren't any screaming kids around to spoil the peace!

Central location, excellent breakfasts, attractive garden with very useful tables & chairs in the shade & also in the sun. Very useful Carrefour City supermarket opposite, also a handy newsagent and bookshop along the street. Comfortable beds & rooms with high quality towels, which are changed regularly. The rooms were very well cleaned and maintained by Collette! All hotel staff were extremely helpful. We really enjoyed our stay and will certainly return, recommending it to other people in England.

The hotel's public areas are impressive, the outside seating, the bar/lounge, reception and the restaurant are all very well decorated and very clean. The staff are friendly and helpful, the breakfast was more than adequate. The location is excellent, right across the road from the seafront and within easy access to shops, bars and restaurants. The rooms are a little tired and need some attention, but they are very clean.

View from window. Location First impression on entering the Hotel was very nice, however it was very short-lived when entering our room which was disappointing to say the least. The bed was in pieces, literally & staked against the wall . Also no furniture, no tv. We were moved to a marginally better room & the staff were apologetic. Although the hotel was good value I don't think I would stay there again.
