Hôtel - Restaurant Saint Jacques  

Good value for money, friendly, simple accommodation.

Good location near sncf station and center of the city. Bad view from the window - to the sncf station way and it's a little noisy. But if you want just spend there a night and see the city and castles, it's a good choice. Room is clean and the desigh of the interior is nice. Old dogs sleeping near the reception desk, it's fun.

We stayed in two different triple rooms as a stopover on the way to and from the Perigord. Both rooms were clean and had sufficient space. Breakfast was OK. It was easy to park nearby (on meters).

Weather was hot (August) and our window had to be open to keep cool, but the two triple rooms we stayed in both faced the station across the road - we were woken every time a train ran through.

Helpful, cheerful proprietor, good breakfast, excellent position (10 mins' pleasant walk from the Chateau, which was what we wanted to visit), sound value for money. No off-street parking but we were able to park right outside the hotel and had no problems.

Found our room rather cramped and not very peaceful on the hot evening we were there - but Blois is a big town and one can't expect a central situation near the station to be quiet.

Great for a cultural stopover. 10/15 mins walk to fantastic castle. Hotel staff V. Helpful. Would stay again.

Room is too small! I think that is for one person, but there are three beds!

The hotel's management could not have been more helpful. Having lost one piece of luggage on trip from London to cdg the staff were excellent in helping us with phones, information of where to purchase clothing. I would recommend this hotel to any travellers going through Blois. Also we had some small problem with Avis car rental in bringing our car to the Blois scnf station this was shorted out by hotel's staff. Overall the hotel's staff were excellent 11/10. I will be contacting them personally to express our appreciation.

This was a basic hotel but for the price, it was ok. The owners were polite but not overly friendly. I asked for restaurant recommendations and the the only one they gave was their own restaurant - we had arrived late and wanted to eat in a nice restaurant not in an cafe-style restaurant.

la poellée de foie gras avec confit et oignons nous avons reçu du foie gras brulé froid à l'intérieur au vinaigre de vin au lieu du confit!!!

Hôtel très bien situé à quelques minutes à pied du château de Blois. Chambre simple mais propre et à un tarif très raisonnable. Le restaurant de l'hôtel est d'un excellent rapport qualité prix avec un accueil sympathique.

Accueil à la réception de hôtel assez moyen.

C'est cher pour la prestation fournie, surtout pour une seule personne (les rideaux étaient trés sales).
